“Hands down the best sitter! This was my first time ever using a sitter for Mazi, and she made the whole experience so easy and stress-free. She kept me updated with pictures and messages, and I could tell Mazi was having a great time and was well taken care of. I really appreciate how caring and attentive she was. I would definitely book with her again! ❤️🐶”

“Valentina was great. Awesome communication. Flexible when I needed. Sent plenty of updates. Theo came home happy and had a great time playing with her dog :)”

“Tiffany was wonderful with Maxwell! She helped me out on very short notice, picked him up from my home, and took great care of him for the afternoon. She sent me pictures and videos while he was with her, which I really appreciated and found very reassuring. She was friendly, reliable, communicative, and made me feel comfortable knowing Maxwell was in good hands. I would definitely recommend Tiffany and would happily have her watch Maxwell again!”

About: I’ve always been around animals and genuinely enjoy caring for them. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of different sizes, ages, and temperaments, including energetic dogs, senior pets, and shy animals that need patience and attention. I understand how important it is for pet owners to feel comfortable while they’re away, so I focus on being dependable, communicative, and attentive to each pet’s needs. I’m happy to follow feeding schedules, provide walks and playtime, give medications if needed, and send regular photo updates. My goal is to make pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for just like they would at home. I will be home full time to be able to spend time with your pet and take care of whatever they need and make sure they are loved and cared for. I have good yard space behind my house to help your fur baby get some excessive as well as maybe a walk around the block
“Rip had a great time at Kevins. He stayed with Kevin and his family for 4 days, he literally did not want to leave when we went to pick him up. We took him home and he was snoring in our arms. Thanks so much!”

“What a great person to watch your dog while you're away. She provided photos and videos every day, walked and played with our dog, and generally treated her like our dog was her own. I would definitely recommend her highly and would use her again in a heartbeat.”

“Jim and Kathy are the best! They are communicative, kind and trustworthy; critical traits when you are entrusting someone with your pets. Indy is so happy to be with them and clearly very comfortable in their house. And we come home with a tired dog!”

“Alison and Michael took such great care of my kitty. They were super accommodating with my last minute booking which I was beyond thankful for given the fact I had to evacuate from hurricane Milton last minute and couldn’t bring my cat with me. I would highly recommend Alison and Michael’s services. Thank you both!”

“Sar was an exceptional caretaker for our 6 month old greyhound puppy, Tiffin. He made sure that his every need was met, and kept in constant communication with us with lovely photos and videos. Given the holidays, we were grateful that Sar made Tiffin a part of his family for the week, and even gave him his own stocking and present! We felt very safe trusting Tiffin with Sar, and wouldn’t hesitate to do so again in the future.”

About: I am a dog owner for the last 7 years (female rescue, 50lbs, lab/retriever.) Before her, I had cats my whole life. My pup is a part of my family and I would treat yours with the same care and compassion. I work from home, live in a duplex and I have a backyard that is mostly fenced (your dog would stay on a leash back there), and I live right next to Dreher Park where we could go for walks 1-2 times/day. Let's do a meet and greet! I work full time from home, and have lots of flexibility for walks and pets. In the evening, we take walks in Dreher Park right next door. Life is quiet around here. No smoking. I'll be here with them all day and can take them to the backyard or for walks in the park. I have a 50lb rescue that has been described by boarders as an alpha female, so she may get barky at first but it ends there.
“Jerikah was amazing! She made sure Shyla felt at home during the holidays and gave me updates everyday! She was also very accommodating when my flight was delayed and I had to pick up late. Would definitely be booking with her again!”

“It was my first time using a dog sitter . My dog was taken care of very well. Morgan was great at sending pictures and updates. I will be using her anytime we need a dog sitter :)”

“Lissette took great care of my dog and followed all feeding instructions. I received updates and photos during his stay and was happy to hear that he was having a great time. I will definitely book again!”

About: I’ve dog sat dogs from under 10 lbs to over 100 lbs. I am a Foster Dog Dad for Peggy Adams Animal Rescue. I have fostered dogs for them almost 90 lbs with perfect personalities and healthy to dogs weighing 15 lbs who have issues with marking and three different medications they are taking. I work full-time but I go home for lunch and I’ve brought my dogs that I have fostered to work with me if they have separation anxiety. Play time after work. Going on walks upwards of 2 miles. Lots of fun play time on the weekends. I care for my fosters in my home. They have access to toys and plenty of space to move around. I don’t crate the dogs I’ve fosters. They get treated like a dog would be treated by their owner. Lots of love, attention, and care.
“So happy we found Stephanie to watch our dog Bentley. She sends us daily updates and pictures of the fun he is having. Stephanie spoils him and Bentley always leaves happy and exhausted.”

“I would recommend Felicia with my dog again. This was the first time leaving him with a sitter and he did great. Felicia is great with sending pictures and letting me know how he was doing.”

Shalie was able to take care of my fur baby at the last moment due to a family emergency. I loved the frequent updates, pictures and videos throughout the day. It really gave me peace of mind. Shalie was very responsive and most importantly took such great care of my Daisy, that it was honestly such a relief! Will definitely use her again, especially since she now has a relationship with my dog. I recommend her services because she is honest.

Caitlin took incredible care of my babies. I have a senior and rescue, both requiring extra and gentle care that she went above and beyond providing. Caitlin is also super flexible and realizable. Would absolutely recommend her to anybody looking for quality care for their fur babies!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
