She took great care of our babies with regular updates & photos, made our hearts so happy to be so at peace knowing they were well loved while we were away! Great with communication and making arrangements, this was our first time using this app& it was just so easy and care free! They are our babies so it means the world to us to know that they were in the best care while we were gone :)”

About: I’ve dog sat dogs from under 10 lbs to over 100 lbs. I am a Foster Dog Dad for Peggy Adams Animal Rescue. I have fostered dogs for them almost 90 lbs with perfect personalities and healthy to dogs weighing 15 lbs who have issues with marking and three different medications they are taking. I work full-time but I go home for lunch and I’ve brought my dogs that I have fostered to work with me if they have separation anxiety. Play time after work. Going on walks upwards of 2 miles. Lots of fun play time on the weekends. I care for my fosters in my home. They have access to toys and plenty of space to move around. I don’t crate the dogs I’ve fosters. They get treated like a dog would be treated by their owner. Lots of love, attention, and care.

“This was my first time using Rover. We have an older dog, 13 years who hates being alone; since we were heading out of town for my daughter's wedding, we needed someone to stay with Taz overnight for 2 nights. Susan responded to my request right away and agreed to meet Taz beforehand. The meet and greet went well and we were assured that Susan and Taz would get along just fine. Knowing that Susan was with Taz and caring for him gave us peace of mind, and we were able to enjoy the wedding without worrying what was going on with Taz back in RI. Knowing we can rely on Susan in the future is such a relief and benefit. Would definitely recommend Susan to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Jessica was highly attentive and in constant clear communication while watching our corgi and Pomeranian. She made us feel at ease while we were on our trip! Afterall they are our fur babies!”

“Adrianna was so helpful and a lifesaver! She is clearly an animal lover and it put my mind at ease leaving my puppy for the first time. She provided lots of updates and photos, and my puppy loved her! She went above and beyond 👍”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Palm Springs
When I say that this woman is gods gift to Rover I mean it. My flight was canceled last minute and my very old and sick puppy would have been stranded. Susana not only dropped everything to stay an extra 24 hours, made sure he was safe, and she learned his intense medical regime, did research on a cough that is part of his condition, and left me with homemade jam on her way out. We just moved to west Palm, and it’s just him and I. I tell you I cried and I can’t believe how thankful foley and I are to have met Susana. She is a treasure. BOOK HER.

Aline took wonderful care of our cat, Star, while we were away. She was reliable, communicative, and kept us updated throughout her stay, which gave us great peace of mind. It was clear that Star was well cared for and comfortable when we returned home, and our house was just as we left it. We truly appreciated the care and attention she gave to both Star and our home. We would be happy to have Aline house sit for us again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter.

Jess was exceptional and I will definitely use her again. She is responsive, reliable, trustworthy, and caring. I felt completely comfortable leaving for the weekend. She took great care of my house and my 90-pound Akita. I give her my highest recommendation.
Chante is amazing. She stayed in our home and took care of our two dogs for the first time, while we were out of the country for 11 days. Right from the start, she was professional, responsible and focussed on our needs and those of our dogs. She came for not one, but two pre trip meetings, where she met the dogs, introduced her dog to ours, walked them and discusses all the details of care. Our dogs are older, with feeding and medicine needs and Chante took care of all that without any problems. She was very loving to the dogs and kept us informed the whole time we were away, with texts, pics and videos. We came home to find our house perfectly clean, and our dogs perfectly cared for and happy! We could not be more thrilled with Chante! We are so happy to have found her and will be using her whenever we have doggy care needs. Thanks for everything, Chante!

Camila was absolutely wonderful with our cat, Star. From the moment we connected, she was kind, communicative, and clearly a true animal lover. She took such great care of Star for the day and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Camila kept us updated, was attentive to Star’s needs, and treated her like her own. It means so much to know your pet is in good hands, and Camila exceeded our expectations. We’re so grateful for her help and wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Highly recommend! 🐾✨

Toni is one of a kind! Luckily she was available to watch my cat Maggie on a quick out of town overnight stay. She‘s my cat sitter to go! Have used her services before and was so happy to see she was available. As always, the house was impeccable, and all instructions followed..most importantly though my Maggie really likes her. Thanks Toni for being you, I am so glad I found you!

Jonathan and Giannina were wonderful with Mister MacDuffin. They were attentive, communicative and it was clear that he was comfortable and happy in their care. This was my first trip away from him using Rover, and they truly put me at ease. I would gladly book with them again for in house sitting, boarding or daycare. Thank you both so much!

Rosy was awesome. My babies loved her and were very well cared for. I loved being able to hear they were doing great. I appreciated very much when Zeus was not feeling well and looked for options to make him feel better. Thank you Rosy for caring for my babies.

Caleigh is the absolute best when it comes to looking after our two cats any time we are away. Truly could not ask for someone better, as she gives daily updates and spends plenty of time with the boys throughout her stay. They’re both a handful, but she handles their shenanigans with love and care. Thank you, as always!

FAQs for House Sitting - Palm Springs
Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Palm Springs on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 2,571 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Palm Springs. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Palm Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Palm Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Palm Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Palm Springs. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
