“Mackenzie did another successful stay with my sassy cat! She sent pictures all week, and I was constantly relieved knowing that Asher was in good hands. 5 stars, again!”

“Highly recommend Cassandra! We were out of the country and had no worries at all! She took great care of our babies with regular updates & photos, made our hearts so happy to be so at peace knowing they were well loved while we were away! Great with communication and making arrangements, this was our first time using this app& it was just so easy and care free! They are our babies so it means the world to us to know that they were in the best care while we were gone :)”

“Kathleen was the most wonderful pet sitter ever! Not only did my 2 dogs and cat love her but so did we! She stayed at my house for 2 weeks while we were in Spain and cooked for them and even watered our plants and took care of our house. My babies were so well taken care of and loved! ❤️ I definitely will be using her every time! I recommend you do too!”

“Allie is the BEST! Her understanding, patience and love for dogs is what you need to feel comfortable leaving your fur babies. I have 2 doodles, 1 very difficult, Allie is the ONLY person who is patient and understanding enough to deal with her stress and anxiety of us being away.”
“Andrea is a wonderful dog sitter. She takes great care of my older poodle and sends lots of pictures when I am away. The staff in my building all love her. She is respectful and always asks questions if she is uncertain of anything.”

“Theresa was absolutely fantastic watching our dog Skye and our cats while we were away. Leaving Skye for the first time caused me a lot of anxiety, but Theresa made the entire experience so much easier and more comfortable. She was incredibly responsive, communicative, and thoughtful throughout the stay. She sent frequent updates and lots of pictures, which truly helped ease my stress and allowed me to actually relax knowing my pets were in great hands. It was very clear that she genuinely cared for Skye and the cats like they were her own. On top of that, she left our house spotless and well cared for when we returned. I honestly could not have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, professional, and attentive, I would highly recommend Theresa without hesitation. We will absolutely be booking with her again!”

“Adrianna was so helpful and a lifesaver! She is clearly an animal lover and it put my mind at ease leaving my puppy for the first time. She provided lots of updates and photos, and my puppy loved her! She went above and beyond 👍”

“I am so thankful to have found Toni! She eased my anxiety while I traveled out of state and took the best care of my senior dog. Thank you so much for everything!!!”
“Jessica is a great communicator and sends lots of photos of the pets while she is pet sitting. I feel my pets are in great hands when she is pet sitting which helps me relax while on vacation. :)”

About: Raised and cared for dogs and cats my whole life—trusted, attentive, and reliable, treating every dog or cat like family while ensuring comfort, safety, and happiness at all times. I work from home in medical billing, which allows me to be present and attentive throughout the day. With a supportive household, there is always someone available to provide care, attention, and a safe, loving environment for pets. I do not have a fenced yard; however, I ensure dogs remain active and engaged through multiple daily walks. For safety, my dogs are crate-trained, and I can accommodate crating or separation as needed. I am happy to provide slow, supervised introductions or keep pets separated at all times to match your comfort level. I prioritize supervision, structure, and maintaining a calm, loving environment for every dog in my care.
“Jessica was highly attentive and in constant clear communication while watching our corgi and Pomeranian. She made us feel at ease while we were on our trip! Afterall they are our fur babies!”

“Marriah is awesome! Our skittish dog warmed up to her in record time, and Marriah took amazing care of her, and our cat, and our house. I would not hesitate to book Marriah again. She's also very thorough and a great communicator.”

“Ashley was so fantastic to have stay at our house and take care of our three dogs while we were away this weekend! So professional and loving to our fur babies! We’ll definitely book her again! 😃”

“Gwendolyn was amazing with our 9 month-old golden retriever! She stayed at our place for a long weekend, kept everything so clean, and sent tons of updates and pictures which gave us so much peace of mind. We came home to a happy pup and spotless apartment—couldn’t recommend her more!”

“Yolenny was absolutely terrific as our dog sitter while we vacationed in Palm Beach. She loves dogs, treats them the way we do with kindness and conversation. She is punctual, resourceful, goes out of her way for you. She is a delightful person who quickly becomes a friend. We felt completely at ease leaving our two Barbet with her. We recommend Yolenny without reservation. We will definitely ask her to sit against if we are in Palm Beach.”

About: I've always had a passion for animals in my life, typically having my own. In the past 10 years I've been very serious with working with animal shelters, training, petsitting, and fostering. I have recommendations, references and all of the passion in the world for pets, especially dogs, but very much enjoy all 🥰 I work from home and am readily available and flexible. I take breaks any time necessary. Your pet will have my full attention. I also allow furniture and bed access, if that's allowed by you. I can care at a moments notice. I rarely leave town or am too busy. My rates as per my profile are negotiable especially when there are multiple pets, in which I have had quite a bit of experience. I have a spacious apartment and provide many walks, as well as parks and fulfilling, peaceful walk access. I keep a clean environment and attend to any special needs. I live alone so any pet would just have access to me. I take heed on all needs and wants for your pet. I have supplies, such as toys, leashes, water bowls, etc. I basically provide doggy spa days, as my friends and clients call them. However, I am accustomed to and am happy about housesitting for the fur babies.

“Jessica was super attentive to our 100 pound baby. He is 4 but gets anxious and does not like thunder. Jessica made sure he got lots of walks and ball playing to help balance his energy. We feel lucky that we found someone that can keep him company and happy!”
About: Hi, I’m a dog and I highly recommend my human. He’s the best. Seriously. He gives the best belly rubs, knows exactly how I like my treats, and never forgets my favorite toy. He has professional experience taking care of pups like me and not just the easy ones. He’s worked with puppies who chew everything (including his shoelaces), and senior dogs who need a little extra love, patience, and help getting around including his dog Bobby, who is 13 years old. He’s calm when I’m nervous, fun when I’m full of zoomies, and always makes sure I feel safe and loved when my people are away. I’ve seen him work his magic on other pets too, cats, dogs, you name it. They all seem to like him. (Even the grumpy cat across the street.) So if you’re looking for someone to take care of your furry family member like they’re his own, he’s your human. Trust me. I’d give him four paws up if I could. Caring for animals is something I genuinely love, so it’s a natural part of my day to day life. I structure my schedule around making sure pets get the time, attention, and care they need, whether that’s early morning walks, mid day play sessions, or evening snuggles on the couch. I am a student, which means I’m able to give pets plenty of love and attention throughout the day. Walks, feedings, potty breaks, medication—whatever your pet needs, I can work it into my routine without a problem. I love starting and ending my day with tail wags, purrs, and happy paws. Being around animals helps keep me happy, so pet care isn’t just something I do, it’s something I look forward to every single day. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m coming to your home, my goal is always the same, to make them feel safe, loved, and totally comfortable. In my home, pets have a cozy, pet friendly space to relax, play, and be part of the family. I make sure they have a consistent routine with plenty of potty breaks, playtime, and cuddles. I’m mindful of feeding schedules, any special instructions, and making sure your pet feels right at home. If they have a favorite bed, toy, or blanket, I always encourage bringing it along! In your home, I aim to keep your pet’s routine as normal as possible by having same walk times, same feeding routine, and all the little things that make them feel at ease. I’ll treat your home with care and respect, and make sure you get regular updates and photos so you know your pet is in good hands. Whether it’s a quick drop-in or a walk, I do everything I can to keep tails wagging and stress levels low (for both you and your pet!).

Jess was exceptional and I will definitely use her again. She is responsive, reliable, trustworthy, and caring. I felt completely comfortable leaving for the weekend. She took great care of my house and my 90-pound Akita. I give her my highest recommendation.
Aline took wonderful care of our cat, Star, while we were away for a week, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. She was attentive, reliable, and followed all of Star's detailed feeding and supplement routines perfectly. We especially appreciated the daily updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while traveling. Star looked happy, comfortable, and well cared for while we were away. It's clear that Aline genuinely loves animals and treats them as if they were her own. We are incredibly grateful for her kindness and professionalism and would not hesitate to book her again. Highly recommended!

Chante is amazing. She stayed in our home and took care of our two dogs for the first time, while we were out of the country for 11 days. Right from the start, she was professional, responsible and focussed on our needs and those of our dogs. She came for not one, but two pre trip meetings, where she met the dogs, introduced her dog to ours, walked them and discusses all the details of care. Our dogs are older, with feeding and medicine needs and Chante took care of all that without any problems. She was very loving to the dogs and kept us informed the whole time we were away, with texts, pics and videos. We came home to find our house perfectly clean, and our dogs perfectly cared for and happy! We could not be more thrilled with Chante! We are so happy to have found her and will be using her whenever we have doggy care needs. Thanks for everything, Chante!

Camila was absolutely wonderful with our cat, Star. From the moment we connected, she was kind, communicative, and clearly a true animal lover. She took such great care of Star for the day and gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Camila kept us updated, was attentive to Star’s needs, and treated her like her own. It means so much to know your pet is in good hands, and Camila exceeded our expectations. We’re so grateful for her help and wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Highly recommend! 🐾✨

Toni is one of a kind! Luckily she was available to watch my cat Maggie on a quick out of town overnight stay. She‘s my cat sitter to go! Have used her services before and was so happy to see she was available. As always, the house was impeccable, and all instructions followed..most importantly though my Maggie really likes her. Thanks Toni for being you, I am so glad I found you!

Jonathan and Giannina were wonderful with Mister MacDuffin. They were attentive, communicative and it was clear that he was comfortable and happy in their care. This was my first trip away from him using Rover, and they truly put me at ease. I would gladly book with them again for in house sitting, boarding or daycare. Thank you both so much!

Rosy was awesome. My babies loved her and were very well cared for. I loved being able to hear they were doing great. I appreciated very much when Zeus was not feeling well and looked for options to make him feel better. Thank you Rosy for caring for my babies.

Caleigh is the absolute best when it comes to looking after our two cats any time we are away. Truly could not ask for someone better, as she gives daily updates and spends plenty of time with the boys throughout her stay. They’re both a handful, but she handles their shenanigans with love and care. Thank you, as always!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Palm Springs on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Palm Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Palm Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Palm Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Palm Springs. On Rover:

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
