Hi! I’m Tamara, and if your pet stays with me, they’ll be treated like family from the moment they walk through the door. ❤️ I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, and getting to care for them honestly doesn’t feel like work to me. Every pet has their own little personality, routines, and quirks, and I love getting to know what makes each one happy. Whether your dog loves long walks, endless games of fetch, or would rather spend the day snuggled up on the couch, I’m happy to meet them where they’re most comfortable. When you’re away, my goal is to make your pet feel as safe, loved, and stress-free as possible. I stick closely to their normal routine, follow every instruction carefully, and make sure they get plenty of attention, affection, playtime, and exercise based on their individual needs. I also know how hard it can be to leave your pet with someone else. That’s why I send lots of photo updates and messages throughout their stay so you never have to wonder how they’re doing. I want you to feel like you’re right there with them. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, their safety, happiness, and comfort always come first. I pay close attention to their behavior, make sure they have a clean and cozy environment, and treat them with the same love and patience I’d want for my own pets. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family member, and I hope to become someone you can count on whenever you need a trusted sitter!!

Schedule
I’m fortunate to have a flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets I care for. Whether we’re out for a walk, playing, or simply relaxing together, I love making sure every pet feels happy, comfortable, and cared for throughout the day. Since I’m home often, I’m also able to provide companionship and make sure pets aren’t left alone for long periods of time while their owners are away!

Safety starts with understanding each pet as an individual. Before caring for a new pet, I take the time to learn their routine, personality, comfort level, and any important details from their owner. Knowing what is normal for each pet helps me provide better care and recognize when something may be different. In my home, I provide a calm and comfortable environment where pets can relax, play, and receive plenty of attention throughout the day. I have a large fenced yard with plenty of space for supervised outdoor time, play, and enrichment while still making sure each pet’s safety comes first. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with the same respect I would want for my own. I keep their routine consistent, follow instructions carefully, and make sure they feel comfortable in their familiar environment. I believe good pet care is about being attentive, patient, and proactive. I pay attention to changes in behavior, energy levels, eating habits, and overall well-being, and I keep owners updated so they always feel connected and informed!
A typical day
A typical day with the pets I care for includes a mix of exercise, play, enrichment, and plenty of love. I enjoy staying active, and as a rugby player, I love being outdoors and keeping pets engaged through walks, playtime, and adventures. Depending on the pet’s personality and comfort level, we might spend time playing in the yard, going for walks, visiting a dog-friendly beach or park, taking a trip to the pet store for a fun outing, or simply relaxing together at home. I always make sure activities are based on what each pet enjoys and what their owner is comfortable with! My goal is to make sure pets feel happy and included while their owners are away. Whether they’re an energetic pup who loves exploring or a more relaxed pet who enjoys companionship and cuddles, I want them to have a safe, fun, and enjoyable experience!

- Every pet is different, and getting to know their personality, routine, and needs ahead of time helps me provide the best care possible. Before a stay or visit, I like to know things such as their feeding schedule, exercise needs, favorite activities, comfort level with new people and environments, and any important habits or behaviors. I also appreciate knowing any medical needs, medications, allergies, triggers, or anything else that helps me keep them safe and comfortable. Small details really matter!! Whether your pet loves extra cuddles, needs a little more patience when warming up, or has a favorite toy or routine they rely on. The more I know about your pet beforehand, the better I can make their experience feel familiar, stress-free, and personalized while you’re away!!
