“Mylinda is FANTASTIC!!! I immediately felt comfortable leaving my dog in her hands. She sent me lots of photos of their walks together. When I picked him up after a weekend away he was super happy. I'll most definitely have Mylinda watch my dog when I'm away in a couple of months. I would give her more 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟”

“Didn’t get to meet Inam but Jennifer was amazing with my Ralphie! She’s very patient and kind, all the good qualities needed to take great care of your pets. They sent pictures and updates almost every day which was much appreciated. Looked like my pup had a lot of fun. I’ll definitely be using their services again!”

About: I grew up taking care of my dog Waggles for 15 years. Have had other dogs and have taken care of friends dogs as well. Could help during the week and on weekends anytime. Happy to walk, care for and house pets overnight. Lots of love for cats and dogs. Our last cat was an indoor cat, but we have had outdoor ones as well. Happy to walk and play with dogs inside and out.
“Ifan was a fantastic dog sitter! He was very responsive and took great care of Roro. Roro had a wonderful time with him. I booked at the last minute, and Ifan responded immediately, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Ifan to others and will happily book with him again!”

“Nancy is phenomenal and my baby absolutely loved her. This is the first time I went away and wasn't consistently worried because I knew he was being cared for and loved the same way he would be at home.”

“Nazim was so great!!! He sent so many pictures of my pup and she warmed up to him right away. He was so flexible when my travel plans changed and he gave me updates on how my dog was doing all the time. Thanks Nazim!!!”

“Mayra was wonderful! She treated my girl like she was hers. My Clover is very shy and doesn’t usually cozy up to people right away. But she did with Mayra and her family; she felt right at home. Mayra communicated the whole time with updates and pictures of how Clover was doing.”

“Sabrina was absolutely wonderful—we can’t recommend her highly enough. She took incredible care of our pups, including our elderly dog who required extra attention (and some cleanup!), and handled everything with patience and kindness. She kept us updated regularly with messages and photos, which gave us great peace of mind. We’re so grateful to Sabrina and her family for taking such loving care of Ollie and Remy!”

“Our girl loved staying with Tyler! He really took his time to answer all of our questions and put our minds at ease before leaving Claire with him, and boy was she in good hands! We had great communication and got to see some pics of her having fun while we were away!”

“We are so grateful for Christle! She went above and beyond taking care of Scooby and kept us updated throughout his stay. When our flight was delayed, she was incredibly kind and flexible about extending his stay. It’s such a relief knowing Scooby is in such loving hands. We’ll absolutely be booking with her again!”

“This was the first time we left our dog for an extended stay. Kaylyn was just as patient with us as first time “parents” as she was with our dog who needed a little extra TLC. We would definitely do this again!”

“Our cavalier Hula had an awesome stay with Mecheal! Mecheal has a great fenced in yard, and only takes one dog at a time so I know she was getting all the attention. Mecheal sent great pictures everyday, so we could check up on our pooch. I definitely recommend this Rover.”

Because peace of mind isn’t a luxury — it’s a promise. Consider me as your on-call pet sitter. I have currently moved to California all the way from the east coast. Whenever you need me, I’m here ! How I Care for Pets in Your Home – With Safety, Trust, and Comfort at the Heart of It All When I care for your pets, whether I’m house sitting, walking them, or simply dropping in, their safety and comfort are my top priorities. I understand that every pet has a unique routine, personality, and needs — and I take the time to learn and follow your instructions closely to ensure they feel secure and loved in your absence. In your home, I maintain a calm, respectful presence, keeping your pet’s environment clean, stress-free, and familiar. I provide regular walks, playtime, feeding, medication (if needed), and gentle companionship, always with an eye on their behavior and well-being. For drop-ins and walks, I show up reliably and treat your pet like my own — keeping them on safe routes, away from hazards, and paying close attention to their body language and comfort. I always prioritize secure leash handling, water breaks, and positive reinforcement. Your trust means everything to me, and I care for your pets and home with professionalism, love, and integrity.
“After our regular dog sitter (a family member) fell through I reached out to Vanessa last minute. She was incredibly accommodating and agreed to take Luna! I am so happy to have found her because Luna had the best time! Vanessa sent tons of videos and photos and kept me up to date on Luna’s adventures as she took walks and played with their other pups! We don’t leave Luna with anyone but family but I’m happy that we were in a bind - otherwise Luna wouldn’t have had such a fantastic weekend! I will definitely be calling on Vanessa again! I highly recommend her - you and your fur baby won’t be disappointed!”

“If you need a pet sitter - Pauline is your girl!! I can’t thank her enough for hosting my two dogs in her home for the night. I received photos & an update within 30 minutes of dropping them off - & without having to check in myself - which I absolutely loved & appreciated. I then received updates all throughout the day which is exactly what I needed! She was VERY attentive to the dogs, asked about/followed their normal routine & updated me if she sensed anything was wrong or if the dogs seemed uncomfortable (one of them was exhibiting signs of an ear infection). I know my dogs were well taken care of and enjoyed their stay. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter and we are so very grateful to Pauline!!!”

About: I am a former United States Marine, retired law enforcement officer, firefighter, and paramedic with decades of experience protecting and caring for others under pressure. Throughout my career, trust, reliability, situational awareness, and compassion were essential parts of the mission, and I carry those same values into pet care today. Whether your pet needs daily walks, drop-in visits, companionship while you’re away, medication support, or attentive overnight care, you can feel confident knowing they are in calm, capable hands. I understand how important it is to trust someone entering your home and caring for members of your family, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, as well as cats and senior pets. My background has taught me patience, consistency, and how to stay calm in unexpected situations — useful skills whether handling an energetic shepherd, a stubborn bulldog, or a cat that operates like a tiny furry insurgent. I provide attention, cuddles and playtime for your fur babies- Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a retired Marine and first responder, I'm accustomed to maintaining a structured schedule and being dependable. I have the flexibility to provide walks, drop-in visits, feeding, companionship, and attentive care throughout the day. I enjoy staying active, and spending time with animals is something I genuinely look forward to. When caring for pets in their own home, I do my best to maintain their normal routine to reduce stress and keep them comfortable. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, litter box or yard cleanup, medication administration if needed, and plenty of attention and companionship. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so they know their pets are doing well. If pets stay in my home, they will be treated like family in a safe, clean, and supervised environment. I'll follow their feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions provided by the owner. My goal is to ensure every pet feels comfortable, secure, and cared for whether they're staying with me or I'm caring for them in their own home.
“My Sami was one happy tired dog when she came back home. Liz did great and communicated to me at all times which made me feel at ease and comfortable. Will recommend and use her services again.”

Karen was amazing with my dog, Charlie! She kept me updated with frequent photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. She took Charlie swimming, made sure she got plenty of walks and exercise, and treated her like one of her own. Charlie also had a great time playing with her dog, Happy. I highly recommend Karen to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and attentive dog sitter! 🐾

Kasey and her family took wonderful care of my dog while I was on vacation. I knew he was in good hands and out of the chaotic environment of a kennel, which gave me peace of mind while away. I would definitely recommend Kasey for pet sitting and would have her pet sit my dog again. She even sent me pictures and updates every couple days too, which was much appreciated! Thank you again, Kasey!

Sabrina was absolutely wonderful—we can’t recommend her highly enough. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CT ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
