About: I grew up with dogs. I had a Great Dane that lived to be 12. I currently have a mini bernedoodle that is almost 5 years old. I also have a bunny. I currently work full-time and am available on Saturday and Sunday for boarding and dog walking. From late June through August, my schedule is more flexible. I will be available daily. I live in a quiet neighborhood in a cul-de-sac with a fenced-in yard. I have a very friendly mini Bernedoodle. I love dogs that play and lazy dogs that just like to chill.

About: Hi! I’m a dedicated and experienced dog lover who has cared for a wide range of breeds, including Labs, Mini Pins, Beagles, German Shepherds, Boxers, and French Bulldogs. I’ve worked with both energetic puppies and older rescue dogs, so I’m comfortable handling everything from basic training to providing extra patience and care for dogs who may be anxious or need a little more attention. I’m very intuitive when it comes to animals and take pride in understanding each dog’s unique personality and needs. Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, or just relaxing and feeling safe, I’ll make sure they’re happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. Safety and trust are my top priorities, and I’ll treat your dog like one of my own. I’m also happy to follow any specific routines, training methods, or special instructions you have. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry family member! 🐾 I currently work part-time while going through a career change and taking online classes, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of availability. Because of this, I’m able to dedicate real, unhurried quality time to your furry loved one rather than rushing through visits or walks. My routine allows me to be dependable and accommodating for a variety of care needs, whether it’s daytime visits, walks, or extended time with your pet. I’m happy to work with your schedule and make sure your pet gets the attention, consistency, and care they deserve. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I take the time to carefully listen to and understand your specific instructions, routines, and preferences so I can provide care that feels familiar and consistent for your pet. I am highly attentive and detail-oriented, ensuring that all rules—whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, exercise needs, or home guidelines—are followed exactly as requested. I respect your home and your pet’s environment, creating a calm, secure, and stress-free experience while you’re away. You can trust that your furry family member will be cared for with patience, responsibility, and genuine attention to their individual needs.
“This is the third time that Jared has taken care of my cat while we were away. Once again, excellent care and service. Reliable and attentive. He did everything I asked. I will be booking Karina and Jared again later this summer!”

About: Experienced pet owner who loves to run around with pups in the yard. From cats to horses, I've cared for all sizes of pets since I was little. Fetch and play time are already a big part of my weekly schedule and would love to have another friend join my little one. I love lazy cuddle time while watching TV but also know exercise is critical to a pets wellbeing! I have a huge fenced backyard where my dogs love to hangout and play. They would love company as the dog park and new friends are one of their favorite things and they get along with every other dog and person they have met
“Chris was wonderful. Responded at the last minute, supported watching our babies with minimum guidance and was attentive to our babies. I would highly recommend Chris!!! THANK YOU CHRIS”

About: I am new to the pet sitting game, but I am not new to taking care of my responsibilities well. I am a part-time live-in caregiver for my 92-year-old grandmother, and I housesit and pet-sit for my friends. My references are available upon request! I can’t wait to take care of your pets! I’m currently working part-time, so I have more availability to do pet care. I have religious obligations that I also work around. I will not accept jobs that conflict with my work schedule so that I can be there for your pets! I make sure to respect my clients’ homes as my own, and return everything to as it was given to me. The pets are lives that are entrusted to me, and God says that we must take care of our domestic animals, so I take that responsibility, seriously, and religiously.
“Jill was super communicative, punctual and sweet with my baby boy! I was able to coordinate dropping off my keys and picking them up no problem. Jill took really cute pictures of Lather and followed all my instructions. No hiccups or last minute change of plans. Would 100% recommend!!”

About: I’ve always been around dogs for many years and family and friends have entrusted me with their pet care. For their pets, I have done bathing, feeding, regular walks, and playtime. I have flexibility in the afternoons after work from 4pm and forward. Monday through Friday and open during the weekends. Plenty of time to care for your pet! I am only able to offer drop in visits and dog walks if needed since I do not own a place, I currently rent and able to drive to other places.
About: Your custom care is here. I’ve taken care of German Shepherds and small teacup poodles. Let me know what you need and I will do my best! I’m a full-time teacher so I get out of school at four so I can walk your dog then. I work in Hartford so I can also let your fur baby out on my break. Let me know if you need me watch or sit any of your pets over the weekend. Blessings! I live in a large condo association with lots of paved areas to walk. Some elevation and other friendly dogs around here. There’s a large vacant parking lot if they want to throw a ball or frisbee. There is a trail nearby if they want to walk in the woods or on rocks and dirt.
“Lauren did a great job! I was ease with her watching my cat because she left just nice updates about her visit. Photos and all! Will absolutely be using Lauren again for all future drop ins :)”

About: I have experience with not only dogs big and small, but also cats, and turtles! Overnight visits are no problem and looking for pets who need routine sitting! I am a student athlete and finding a regular job is harder for me, I’m pet sitting because I love animals and the schedule can be more accommodating. Animals deserve the golden rule, just as our human friends do—maybe just with a little more patience sometimes. I can be the friend your pet needs when you can’t be there.
About: I have over 20 years of experience watching and carings for dogs. I grew up with dogs, and absolutely love them! I have extensive experience walking, feeding, and bathing dogs, and also administering medication. I primarily work from home, so my schedule is very flexible during the day. I am also available on weekends to care for your pup! My husband and I have two friendly pups to keep your dog(s) company whenever he or she visits. And in addition to our large backyard where the pups love to play, we also have plenty of safe roads and trails nearby to walk your dog for exercise and potty breaks.

We had such a great experience with Maeve! She was reliable, communicative, and amazing with Leo. She even covered for us last minute, which we appreciated so much. It gave us great peace of mind knowing Leo was in good hands. We would absolutely book with her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Weatogue with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
