About: My name is Kristina Leigh. I recently turned 42 years old ( in human years) I have spent the majority of these years sharing my life with dogs. I have experience working as a groomer, working at a pet store, and I also have Emergency 24hr Veterinary Hospital Clinic experience. I took classes at Northwestern CT Community College in the Vet Tech program. I have loved 3 amazing senior sweet rescue pitbulls throughout my adult life, and countless four-pawed friends in between. I am not a stranger to exotic reptiles, amphibians, and small rodents of all varieties. This includes my lifetime passion for fresh and salt water fish care. I am very calm, gentle, and patient when it comes to caring for senior dogs and nervous pups. I have basic first aid pet knowledge, but most importantly I have common sense. The most important thing to me personally, is to completely put your mind at ease. Your pets are in great hands. I know and understand as a pet parent the worry that often comes with being away from your pet. That being said, I can guarentee that proper care, respect, and instructions will be shown and followed with your animal and within your home. But I am certain that you will feel at ease by how your pet behaves in my presence. I love animals, and they know it. Trust and respect are incredibly important for me when I am choosing who cares for my pet, my dog is my little chubby dumpling princess. The absolute best is what I ask and expect, and that is what I give to your own little buddies. I have my own transportation, and can accommodate new changes in schedule in a reasonable amount of time. My schedule is flexible, and so is my character. I am more than willing to help create a solution when one feels impossible. All you need do is ask. Things happen; life happens, and hopefully you will feel that choosing me as your pet's Auntie makes things much easier for you. I take the safety of your furry family member very seriously I have training experience walking bouncy puppies, "pully" pooches, and slow older doggos. I am patient, calm, and know my surroundings at all times during the walks. I can help teach your dog proper leash etiquette if it is wanted I absolutely love spending time around dogs and animals. This is my passion, and if I could do this for free everyday, I would. I have plenty of time to put towards the care of animals. I have a detailed schedule that I follow, and everything is organized and on track. I understand that while caring for animals, extreme care must be taken. I have been called over-protective when it comes to my own pets. But it is for their own protection. Unfortunately, they lack the legal rights that humans have. I am very careful when other animals are around (especially leash-less wildcards coming in hot towards myself and the dog I'm walking ) therefore, it is my choice to not allow strangers to pet any animal I am caring for. Similar to working dogs. There are too many negative examples of pets becoming unfairly removed from their homes because of some untrue accusation. An example is this: You've definitely seen dogs " smiling" to their owners. Some dogs just learn that behavior, and it is far from aggressive behaviour in their minds. Now say someone asks to pet your dog on a walk. The dog smiles, and it is misinterpreted as aggression, person is scared, maybe they act in a way that is embarrassing once they realize they aren't in danger. Maybe they create a scenario in their minds where they were bitten and then they want the " violent" dog put down. and then that is where the mess begins. Safety first!

About: I’ve had dogs since I was 12 and have experience with all kinds of personalities and ages, from puppies to senior dogs with medical needs. I currently have a senior dog myself, so I’m very patient, attentive, and comfortable with extra care routines. Friends and family always count on me first for pet sitting because I genuinely love animals and treat every pet like my own. I also have experience caring for cats and always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. My schedule is extremely flexible, so I’m able to accommodate all kinds of pet care needs including walks, drop-ins, overnight stays, puppy care, and senior pets who need extra attention. I make sure pets feel comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. Whether I’m caring for them in my home or a client’s home, they’ll get plenty of attention, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day.

About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats since I was a child. I will treat your pet as one of my own! :) I will listen to your instructions perfectly. I take my work seriously and will provide the best care possible for your pet. This includes walking, feeding, playing, and anything else you need from me related to your pet’s care. I am currently working a full time job and am a graduate student, so check my calendar to see when I am free. We should be able to work something out. I am able and willing to take care of your pet on weekdays in the early morning and after work (typically after 4 or 5 pm). On Saturdays and Sundays, I am free all day to take care of your pet. The safety of your pet and the trust that you and I have are extremely important to me. If there are specific tasks I should not do, please let me know. Typically, I will feed your pet as per instructions, play with them, and take them on walks (I will ask you how long of a walk). We will discuss and go into detail on your pet’s care.

About: Hey! I have taken care of animals of all kinds since I was a kid. Since then I have taken care of various animals both exotic and domestic (and some livestock too). Some of my own pets include a dog, cats, parrots, lizards, snakes, a horse, and a tortoise. Because of this I have a lot of experience with the different needs for animals especially animals who are seniors and may need oral medications (as my own animals need this care). For example with senior pets I would pay close attention to their health and mobility issues, administering medication, and providing gentle exercise. In addition to these specialized skills, I am also highly reliable and communicative, keeping pet owners updated with daily reports and photos of their furry friends. I understand that pets are part of the family, and I always strive to provide the highest level of care possible. I am very flexible and would be happy to spend some time with your pets. This can help ensure that your pet's needs are met, even when you're not available. For my clients I would offer the same care as I do for my animals. This would include regular exercise and playtime are essential to maintain a pet's physical and mental health. Set aside time each for walks, runs, or other forms of exercise, as well as playtime with toys or interactive games. Additionally regular grooming and cleaning are necessary for maintaining a pet's health and well-being. This includes bathing, brushing, and nail trimming, as well as cleaning up after the pet's messes. Lastly I would keep a watchful eye on your pet's health, monitoring for any signs of illness or injury.

About: I’ve been dog sitting and walking my parents dog for 5 years and have done the same with other friends dogs as well. I love dogs and will gladly help other dog owners take care of there pups in anyway i can! As a teacher, my summers are open and i couldn’t think of a better part time job to help fill the space. I am available Tuesday-Thursday 3pm-6pm until June 10th and after that, on those same dates, 11am-3pm. On weekends i am available 9am-12 noon. I cannot host pets unfortunately due to my condo complex not allowing them. If that policy changes i will gladly host pets in the future.

About: My family has had multiple dogs as I was growing up and I have babysat and housesat at numerous houses with dogs and cats present. I am an animal lover who is very willing to learn your pet’s routine to meet their and your specific needs while you’re away! I am an elementary teacher who is looking to earn extra income in the summer before returning to school in the fall! Very willing to work through the school year with reduced availability. I will put your specific care instructions first in any service I offer and will ask any questions beforehand that are needed to make you feel comfortable. I am also very open to any questions you may have for me before trusting me with your loved pet. I am very willing to send as many or as little updates as you prefer during my service as well.

I am hoping to become a vet one day, so getting the opportunity to practice what I've been taught with your pet will be very beneficial to my carreer going forward! I also had a 15 year old black lab that had a couple of health issues, I was able to give her adequate care for her remaining years. I'm currently a college student studying Animal Science, on a summer break so I have plenty of time to take care of your pets. Whenever you need me, I will be there. I'm also willing to work weekends and nights! I will make sure your pet is well feed, groomed and have frequent bathroom breaks. I will also take them to the dog park or even on car rides! My studies have also taught me what to look for if your animal isn't feeling well or is in distress, along with how to properly treat them if necessary.

About: As someone who knows that your pet is a part of your family, you can trust that I will do my absolute best to take care of them. I have been a pet sitter for 4 years, providing exceptional care to the pets of neighbors, family, friends and clients. I’m okay with traveling the distance to your house to watch your pet as well as house sit if needed! About: I have two dogs with two different personalities one a pit and one a golden retriever. I’ve had my golden retriever since he was a baby and always take care of Him and his special diet and his special walking I bathe him and take care of him any type of way. I love animals with all my heart I go to school from 7am-1pm so after that time I am free. im an active person so I love to spend quality time with dogs and animals I have 2 very friendly dogs. My back yard isn’t fenced in but we do have 50ft to 100ft leashes for them to be able to play outside

About: I’ve had multiple pets since I was young and always had a great love for all animals. I have had my dog since I was 6 years old and been taking care of her since then. Neighbors and family members have always trusted me taking care of their cats, dogs, bunnies, and birds and I love meeting and forming a connection with them all! I also have experience with senior and special needs as my dog had some behavioral issues in the last few years of her life and she has taught me a lot about having compassion for everyone. 🩷 My school year is over so I am currently home for the summer and will have plenty of time to take care of your pets!
