“I recently used Ashley to watch my fur baby Lexi while I was out of town and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Lexi had a fantastic time with Ashley and her family. She received so much love and attention as well as play time that she was clearly missing them for the next few days after we picked her up. Ashley was incredibly kind, responsible, and attentive to my dog's needs. I received regular updates and photos which put my mind at ease and allowed me to enjoy my trip without worrying about my pup. I highly recommend Ashley to anyone in need of a reliable and caring dog sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of Lexi!”

About: Hello! We absolutely love all dogs. We have a beautiful 4 year old Weimaraner who we came into our life as a pup. We also have had two prior to her. We are comfortable with all aged dogs from the feisty puppies to the more quiet seniors. We have lots of experience with young puppies, senior dogs who need medication (oral pills or otherwise), and shy or energetic dogs. Linda even worked as a Vet Tech in high school and was a dog walker in college. We both are retired and love to sit outside with our dog and go for walks. As a visitor to our home, we are open to whatever method you employ for your dog’s safety. We have experience with crate training and are happy to continue those practices if you wish. Otherwise, your dog is free to roam our fenced yard and home. We are both retired, so have lots of time for your pup. Our dog always gets to go out whenever she wants. So will yours. We usually walk our dog in the morning afternoon and evening. If your dog is up to that, we will have her join us. We have a fenced in yard for the dogs to enjoy whenever they want. Our house is very dog friendly. Our dogs are allowed on the furniture. We do not leave any food out and have a dog proof garbage can too.
“Tosha was an amazing dog sitter! She cared for my dog, Maggie, like her own, giving her so much love and attention. I could tell Maggie was happy and well taken care of when I got her back. Communication was great, and I felt completely at ease knowing Maggie was in such good hands. I highly recommend Tosha to anyone looking for a reliable and caring pet sitter!”

“Valentina is such a great pet sitter, we never use anyone else. Our dog is always happy to see her and does well in her home. We are always pleased with the care he receives.”

“This was our first time with June and all went great. Lots of sharing of updates and photos, including many walks. Lucky came home a happy puppy and we are too.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Wayne
Valeriia and Alex did a wonderful job taking care of our dog, Penelope. They made sure to send us updates every day with multiple pictures and it sure looked like Penelope had a ton of fun with them. They even sent Penelope home with a little 3D printed keychain of Penelope for her leash! So cute! Will look to book Valeriia and Alex in the future. Thank you again!!!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
