“We had a meet with Danielle before we left our mini poodle a few days later with her. When we went back the second time, as we approached her house, he got super excited and couldn’t wait to go in. Danielle was really kind and gentle with him. When he was anxious as we left, she held him until he calmed down. He enjoyed playing with her very active puppy and was pretty tuckered when we got back. We’re looking forward to leaving him with her again.”

About: I've been around pets me whole life. I have always loved dogs of all sizes. My parents owned Shih Tzus since I was a kid and I was constantly around close family members' German Shepherds as well. I've done drop-ins countless times over the years for cats of friends and family. Now along with my husband, we live with our dog, Melon, and our cat, Amy. Melon is a 50lb 1-year-old mix breed, and Amy is an 11-year-old senior cat. They can be hectic and they keep us on our toes, but I wouldn't have it any other way! When your pets are in my care, I'll always treat them with all the love and adoration I give my own. I am currently between full-time jobs, so my schedule tends to be open and very flexible for caring for your pets, whether it be on weekdays or the weekend. For pet care at your home, I will prioritize sticking to whatever routine keeps you and your pets comfortable and happy! I know how stressful it can be when family members aren't home, and will do whatever your pets need to know that they are safe and loved even in your absence. If your dog comes to stay at my house, you can take comfort in knowing they'll have access to a fully fenced back yard to run and play in, so they are secure and entertained. My dog, Melon, LOVES other dogs and nothing would make her happier than a new friend coming over to hang out with her.
“Mary was absolutely excellent! We have a 9 week old PWD mix breed named Chase and we were nervous to leave our pup baby with a puppy sitter. However, Mary sent pictures, never put him in a crate, took him out often for potty and snuggled him! She's wonderful and Chase will be visiting her weekly while I'm at work. Thank you Mary!!”

“This was Wag’s repeat stay which was just as good as the first one! So nice to know from the photos sent that she had a ball! Wags was so exhausted after she got home that she snuggled up on the couch and hit the hay. Thanks for taking care of Wags for us! Thank you Sonia & Greg!”

“Jackie took care of our furbaby well. She updates me with photos and making sure that our dog is having a great time. Thank you Jackie for taking good care of Pebbles. We will surely use her service next time if we need her.”

“Both my pups had a great time. She is very good with my anxious pup as well. She communicated and kept us informed the entire stay. Most importantly the pups felt safe and comfortable with her.”

“Maria has been a LIFE SAVER for me. I work full time in Chicago and I needed someone who was able to take my dog M-F but I didn't want to bring my dog to an impersonal day care. That's when I found Maria. I really love that Oliver (my dog) is safe in Maria's home and also able to go to the dog park everyday. When I pick him up he is a very happy and tired dog! I could not have asked for a better situation and we consider Maria part of the family. She treats my dog as if he was her own and for that I am so thankful.”

“We were visiting the area for a conference and wanted to have Bailey close so that she knew we'd come back for her. It takes a while to hear back from the caretaker, and I didn't get photos. However, our Bailey girl seemed just fine when we picked her up, which was a HUGE relief. The separation anxiety was there, but it was not as severe as I had anticipated. . When we come up next year, we will reach out to Barbara again!”

“Justine is so compassionate with my dog. She assured me he would be at home and he is. I appreciate the interaction her family and cats with my pup. He comes home happy and tired. I highly recommend Justine.”

About: I am an animal lover, growing up with cats, and having owned 2 dogs for over 13 years! I enjoy all kinds of dogs and cats and would love to be able to help you out. I will care for your animals as if they were my own. Just tell me what the norm is for your fur babies and I'll make sure they are taken care of! I am available most times during the week and all day on weekends for walks. I also offer boarding at my home in a large neighborhood with a 2 mile walking path! My 13-year-old son loves helping me with the animals and would love to join me for walks/visits (but only if you are comfortable with it)! We love taking dogs for long walks and helping keep them occupied with play time. During boarding, your animal would be spoiled and loved! I want you to feel as comfortable as possible when I'm taking care of your pet! I am available mostly in the mornings and late afternoon/evenings during the week (but have some midday flexibility) and all day on weekends! “I booked last minute and Gavin was wonderfully communicative throughout. Gavin greeted Bella so kindly before daycare, and Bella had a great time with Gavin! I really appreciated his responsiveness and care :)”

About: I grew up on a farm in Brazil, surrounded by animals and nature, and that’s where my love for dogs truly began. From a young age, I was always caring for and spending time with them, learning how to understand their needs and personalities. Today, I have two Basset Hounds of my own, and they are a big part of my life. Living with them has given me even more hands-on experience with different behaviors, routines, and the importance of patience and affection. Now that I live here in the U.S., I’m excited to offer my care and love for dogs through Rover. I treat every dog as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care is a natural part of my daily routine. I’m home every day with my baby and my two Basset Hounds, so I’m always present and able to give dogs plenty of attention and care. Most days, we go for walks together, and I make sure they have a consistent routine with feeding, playtime, and lots of affection. In my home, I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment. I have a fenced garden with a secure gate (40” H × 27” panels), which is great for small and medium dogs to enjoy supervised outdoor time. I don’t use crates, as I prefer pets to feel comfortable and free in a home setting. I also have two very friendly Basset Hounds who are used to being around other dogs, which helps visiting pets feel more relaxed and social. I keep a consistent routine with feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of attention to make sure every dog feels safe and happy.
About: My family and I love dogs. We also love cats, but unfortunately I’m allergic to them. We’ve raised three dogs over the years and currently have a 4-year-old Golden Retriever named Jax. I pretty much work from home and have a 4 year old Golden Retreiver named Jax so our routine is already made for a dog. I have a fenced in back yard. Your dog will have a playmate in Jax. I enjoy going out and playing fetch with Jax although he's not much of a fetch guy. He enjoys me faking like I'm going to chase him and then he gets the zoomies and runs around the yard like a crazy boy.

“Great job with Sammy ! We truly appreciated how you came to our rescue last minute when I was not able to work at home today. Sammy is a sweet, loving senior dog who is kind and gentle but needed some assistance, and you both did an amazing job being very caring for him and very eager and willing to help our senior sweetheart. So many other dog sitter's do not want to help senior dogs because it takes just a little extra effort, but you were very kind and willing to help him out. And we know he truly appreciated it. Thanks again, and we look forward to Sammy hopefully seeing you again soon. ???”

“This was my first time ever leaving my dog in. Care of someone else And I am very pleased to say that it was awesome Jacqueline was very responsive to msgs and she also Shared bunch of pictures of my dog being fed walked and relaxing. I will contact her again for another day of daycare thank you”

“Sapna's house is very clean and neat. She also has a fenced backyard which provided great opportunity and space for my dog Teddy to run around and burn his energy. It helped having another dog staying during the same time who was same age/size as Teddy so they had lots of fun together as well as playing with Sapna's girl Val. Sapna shared regular videos and updates so that keep me at ease.”

About: Hello! I can't wait to meet you and your furry friend! I have been caring for animals my whole life, including my own pets and also dogs I foster for a local rescue. I would love to care for your furry family member as well. As a Type-A personality and a mother of 3 humans and 3 dogs, I am very organized, reliable, detail-oriented, caring, and trustworthy. I work from home part-time in the photography industry and would love to help you add to the adorable photos of your pet while they are in my care, if you would like! I have a Masters Degree in Higher Education and a Bachelors in Entrepreneurship, both at Illinois State University. I did my business plan on a doggy day care and when I was a kid I wanted to be a vet, so as you can see...caring for animals has been in my blood from a young age! Several of my animals have had special needs or are prone to injury, so I have LOTS of experience in that regard. My vet can vouch for the fact that I would make a great vet tech. Blood and other bodily fluids do not phase me and I am cool as a cucumber under pressure (I've dealt with two dogs with broken legs, two dog strokes, cancer, many a laceration, a diabetic cat, and a dog with no eyes.) I also have fostered several puppies and love their puppy breath! Happy to help care for the youngest of your pets as well. I work from home part-time during typical business hours and cart my kids to and from their activities. My spare time is spent caring for your furry friends! Whether I am coming into your home or your pets are coming into mine, your pets and property will be treated with the utmost care and consideration. I will provide the excellent service I expect for pet sitters for my own family dogs and nothing less. Safety and security are also top of mind and, with my high attention to detail, nothing will be missed. Pets in my home will be treated like family. We have 2 retired racing greyhounds who are loving, calm, and kind, as well as a foster-fail super mutt who loves to play and keep our house safe from chipmunks and mail carriers. I have three kids (12, 10, and 7) who all have extensive experience with dogs and who will help me respectfully love on your pet while you are away. We have a LARGE fenced in yard with lots of little critters to sniff after and plenty of room to run. We live in a pet-friendly cul-du-sac with several dogs and chickens next door.
