About: I’ve cared for dogs my entire life, so I’m very comfortable handling a wide range of personalities, energy levels, and routines. I focus on creating a calm, consistent environment where dogs feel safe and understood while their owners are away. I pay close attention to behavior and individual needs, making sure each dog is comfortable, well cared for, and sticking as closely as possible to their normal routine. What sets me apart is that I’m highly observant and reliable—I treat every dog as an individual and make sure they feel secure and cared for in my home. Hanging out with pets is honestly my favorite part of my the day! I make time for walks, play sessions, and chill time every day-it never feels like work if tails are wagging. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly dog amd cat. I can accommodate to your needs. I also have a dog park near by. ..
“Jacqueline and Uriel sent me photos and videos and kept me updated though out the day. When I picked up Queenie she was so happy and relaxed. You can tell she had an amazing time and was comfortable in Jacqueline and Uriel’s care. When we were leaving she was going back to them for pets and affection. I will definitely book with Jacqueline and Uriel in the future. Thank you so much! 🙏🏽🤗”

“I booked last minute and Gavin was wonderfully communicative throughout. Gavin greeted Bella so kindly before daycare, and Bella had a great time with Gavin! I really appreciated his responsiveness and care :)”

About: As a lifelong animal lover and experienced pet owner, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. I have a male Chihuahua-Terrier mix who stays with me part-time and gets along well with other dogs. I am the go-to pet sitter for friends and family, because my goal is to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, indoor or outdoor play sessions, or relaxing with lots of cuddles, I’ll tailor their care to their unique personality and routine. I also have experience taking care of senior dogs and am comfortable administering medication, preparing special diets, and providing extra care and attention. I love having dogs around and would be delighted to welcome your pet into my home. For everyone’s comfort and safety, I ask that dogs be friendly around children, adults, and other dogs. Meet and greets—virtual or in person—are required before booking so we can make sure it’s a great fit for everyone. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family member! I work a flexible hybrid schedule, with three days per week at home and my office is close enough to come home midday on office days for walks and all your pet’s needs. I live in a spacious townhome and do not have a fenced yard, but if your dog enjoys leashed walks and outdoor playtime, I have easy access to open outdoor spaces, parks, and nature trails. In my home, dogs are a part of the family and welcome to make themselves comfortable just as they would in your home. They are welcome to relax on the couch, snooze on the bed, or use their own bed or crate if that’s most comfortable. I want your dog (and you) to feel relaxed and safe until your return.
“We had a meet with Danielle before we left our mini poodle a few days later with her. When we went back the second time, as we approached her house, he got super excited and couldn’t wait to go in. Danielle was really kind and gentle with him. When he was anxious as we left, she held him until he calmed down. He enjoyed playing with her very active puppy and was pretty tuckered when we got back. We’re looking forward to leaving him with her again.”

“Jackie was treated with love and attention—the tail wags said it all! Everything was clean, and well-organized, and felt like a second home for my pup. I’m so grateful and will definitely be coming back. Thank you Jackie! Highly recommend!”

“Mary was absolutely excellent! We have a 9 week old PWD mix breed named Chase and we were nervous to leave our pup baby with a puppy sitter. However, Mary sent pictures, never put him in a crate, took him out often for potty and snuggled him! She's wonderful and Chase will be visiting her weekly while I'm at work. Thank you Mary!!”

“We loved working with Katey! We left our fur baby in her care and we couldn’t be happier!!! She was absolutely fantastic! She went above and beyond in keeping us updated. It was the first time we had to leave our doggo in someone else’s care. So the texts and pictures meant a lot! :) Katey is super kind and sweet! And she has an awesome family! We have already booked her again!”

“Thank you soooo much for taking him for the day! He is tired out and happy! Thank you for al the updates of photos and videos I will deff be bringing him back so he can play again! Thanks so much guys I highly recommend her!! Very great!”

“Marilyn and her son Adam were awesome. I took my 11 month old and 50 pound pitbull mix to them for a few hours and it looks like my pup had a great and fun time. From when my pup first met them, she was shy but she warmed up to Marilyn and Adam within minutes. She came home pretty tired as she probably ran around quite a bit and was entertained by them during their care. Thank you both!”

“Thank you Myrlonette for making such an anxious experience so smooth and reassuring. Your attentiveness and energy is going to be hard for us to keep up with at home! We look forward to your services again as we believe we found a home away from home for our fur baby!”

“Min was wonderful with my large dog, Tamale. She reads the dog's body language very well. She sent lots of pics and seemed to really enjoy Tamale's company. I will definitely ask her to dog sit as my regular "go to" person. Thanx Min!”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
