About: I have been taking care of animals from a young age of 15. I grew up with a German shepherd which started my love for dogs. I use to volunteer at an animal shelter in Iowa when I was going to college. I would walk every single dog because it would break my heart to see them stuck in such a small space. I also rescued around 20 dogs, 50 cats, and one monkey when I was living overseas. I am very empathetic towards animals especially because they are such innocent beings. I also worked with different rescue groups overseas. I currently have 3 dogs I rescued from Peru South America. Their stories are pretty crazy but now they are living the dog dream. So I am very excited to work with animals! I am a stay at home mom looking to help owners with their pets. Having 3 dogs myself I know how necessary it is to have help! 1st I would like to come meet the pet first so we can create a trust. Then I would make sure they were comfortable in their home with plenty of food and water. I would just follow all the rules the owner has for me especially if there dog is on a specific diet. If it is okay with the owner also carry training treats with me for walks.

I had an 8 year old boxer who was with me starting at 6 months, she was my baby and best friend. Unfortunately she passed away October 5, 2018 from lymphoma. I now have three other dogs, Nugget, Delilah and Roo. Nugget was found and we adopted Delilah and Roo after fostering them. Nugget is a labrador retriever, rottweiler mix, Delilah is a boxer mix and Roo is an Amstaf mix. I have also grown up with cats, frogs, birds, hamsters, turtles and all types of reptiles. We received updates and pictures a few times a day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear our dog was having a wonderful time—especially having Jackie's dogs as playmates. She was very capable and attentive, and we felt very comfortable leaving our dog in her care. Marty is looking forward to staying at Jackie's again!”
