About: I have 8 years of pet sitting experience, and have two of my own dogs! I love helping others and spending time with other’s pets, making sure they get the care they need when their owners are away. They’ll get plenty of ear and belly rubs, and any other stimulation that they may need. Depending on your dogs age, I can also do home visits to make sure your dog is comfortable in their own environment and also make sure they get a walk(s) in throughout the day. *meet and greets ARE required ahead of service for everyone’s safety* I take my own pups out every 2-3 hours, pending work and meetings, but will get their walks in regularly to make sure their needs are met. I will also provide them mental stimulation on those rainy days. I keep my own dogs leashed at all times unless we are doing recall training or fetch in an environment they know and are familiar with, and will releash them when needed to keep them safe.
About: I grew up with dogs and cats and have taken care of both dogs and cats. I've pet-sitted, taken friends', families' dogs and cats in my own home and also stayed in their homes to care for their animals. My former kitty developed kidney disease so I learned how to give fluids and do medication. And my most recent kitty had megacolon. I tried diet and medication and then had her colon removed after she stopped improving. She did very well for 6 months but recently died, from a sudden stroke (a saddle thrombosis). I am still sad. I connect with dogs (and cats) very well. I am an animal person and love being around animals. I am also in great physical shape so can walk, play, groom dogs. I am good with animals and treat them like people. I give lots of affection. I am extremely organized and responsible and also can follow an animal's routine. I am good with communicating with owners. I am especially good with cats (because I just had a wonderful kitty who died at the age of 16) and feel I speak their language. I am also good with dogs, just haven't had a dog in a number of years. I've had to now take care of two sick kitties so know how to do medication (compound liquids and sub-q fluids). I am very knowledgeable about cat health, nutrition and learned the hard way of what isn't great for kitties (only dry diet). As of now, I have no animals in the house. I miss my favorite companions. I can host cats now - board them here so the owners know they get lots of care, play time while they are gone. I am a software developer and work full-time remotely, at home. I have flexibility to either do drop-in visits or can have cats in my home. Usually one cat at a time but I'd consider 2 if they are from the same family. I will prioritize boarding clients - meaning I won't take drop-in visits when I am boarding a kitty (or kitties from same family). I have a safe home with spots for kitty litter separate from food and water. Cats are welcomed anywhere in the house (except on kitchen counters, stove, table)

Ellie was a wonderful sitter. We were a little worried at first, as Ellie is younger than the usual sitters we have, but she surpassed our expectations! Both our cat and dog were very relaxed; Ellie ensured that both our pets were comfortable. It's tough enough to manage one pet, so the fact that Ellie was able to manage both our pets together proves her competence. We will definitely be hiring Ellie again in the very near future 🐶😺
