About: Growing up, I always begged for a pet every chance I got. I have so much love, appreciation, and passion for not only pets but for animals as a whole, and this hasn't changed since I was a kid. In my free time I enjoy playing with my pets and watching animal documentaries. In terms of experience, I am PetTech certified, I am working with a local pet sitting business for over a year now, where I do drop-in visits for dogs and cats, as well as walks and house sitting too! I also previously volunteered with a local animal shelter where I worked with mainly cats and kittens, and dogs on occasion. As a volunteer, my responsibilities mostly included transport, playing with the shelter animals, weighing, and checking in/watching. I currently have 2 cats, 1 male and 1 female, that I got as kittens. I have had these cats for about 2 years. In the past, I had a dog for 3 years. My responsibilities with these pets include/included feeding, bathing, playing, walking, cleaning up after, etc. I am not currently working and have reliable transportation. I have a flexible schedule and lots of time to take care of and spend time with your furry friends! I have experience pet sitting in clients' homes before. About: I have owner a variety of animals from fish and rodents to three large dogs at once ( 2 huskies and aGerman Shepherd ) . I have also used rover formally to dogsit and walk many sizes and temperaments of dogs. I currently volunteer at the shelter to take dogs out of the kennel for the day and actively pet sit dogs and cats of friends. I have experience working with puppies after raising my German shepherd and another set of four puppies until adoption. I have also worked with senior dogs with dietary restrictions and medication. I am self-employed and an online student at the moment and have more free time that can be flexibly managed. I spend extra hours taking my friends pets on walks or spending time with them while doing work at home. I love to go on walks as I used to own two large and active dogs ! In-house sitting would mean respect for the clients home and their belongings. I also understand that the home is the safe space of the pet and should be treated with care. Currently I am caring for two dogs with disabilities long term: and elderly French Bulldog with partial paralysis, and a young pittie mix with three legs due to a car accident. Amy is amazing! Our dogs did not even know we were away with all of the love and attention they got from Amy while we were away! From the long walks, and fun indoor games when the weather wasn’t great, Amy took so much care to make sure they were happy in our absence. The photo and text updates were frequent, so we were able to stay connected while we were away. Amy is incredible!!!
Finn did a great job for us watching both of our large dogs. My Bulldog unfortunately got an ear infection a few days before our trip, which put him on multiple medications. He was able to administer both the oral and topical medications without issue. We were able to relax on vacation because we knew our dogs were in good hands. I’ll be reaching out to Finn in the future for additional sitter work.
Peyton was a huge lifesaver when our original boarding plans fell through due to kennel cough - she was super friendly and responsive. She was even willing to handle our three month old puppy and kept him from destroying the house while we were gone! Our pups were in great hands and totally happy and relaxed when we got home, and Peyton was great at keeping in touch, taking them for multiple walks a day, and sending updates and pictures while we were gone. She even watered plants and took care of trash and letting in the cleaners while we were gone. We would definitely book Peyton again for watching our house and pets for future trips!
Max did a fantastic job watching our dog for almost 2 weeks while we were on vacation. He was very prompt in the initial meet-and-greet and made sure that he understood how to take care of her as well as our house. When we got back the house was left in a great state too. We would definitely book Max again to watch our dog and house at our next vacation!
