“Faith was amazing watching our senior dog! She gave great updates and sent lots of cute pictures! We were gone for a week and came home to a well kept house and a happy dog. We would love to have Faith watch our dog again anytime!”

“More great dog sitting with Darlin! We have used her many times at this point with absolutely no complaints. She takes great care of our babies and our home while we are away!”

“We couldn't have asked for a better dog sitter! Kyle provided regular updates that were not only informative but made us laugh. He took our pups on plenty of walks, even in the rain, and gave our shy kitties lots of love as well. We highly recommend Kyle and will definitely be reaching out again in the future!”

“Perry is the best! She sends videos and pictures so you can love on your baby from afar! Our dog had the best time with her and we know she was well taken care of and loved! We will definitely be using her again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was little, I’ve always got along with animals and know how to contain their messes and accidents. This will be my only job in this current moment! I am very flexible and open to chatting about any arrangements. We can always try to work something out around your schedule! I try to keep a constant eye on all animals to ensure their safety and enjoyment! I always keep them entertained or snuggle up with them!
“Lindsey was absolutely amazing! Samson took to her immediately, which says a lot because he doesn't instantly warm up to everyone. She was so kind, patient, and loving with him, and it was obvious from the start that she's a true dog person. Knowing he was in such caring hands gave me complete peace of mind. I would absolutely trust Lindsey to watch Samson again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate dog sitter!”

“Tori did a wonderful job taking care of our two puppies. She was very communicative and sent pictures and videos continuously throughout the day. We felt good knowing our pets had great company while we were away.”

“Leonard’s was wonderful! Her partner Jon who is also with Rover also stayed with our dogs. They were courteous, responsive and sent tons of picture updates. We had a great experience”

“Beth was wonderful with our dogs while we were away! She sent us cute pictures and gave us updates along the way. We highly recommend her for your house and dog sitting needs!”

“Lashawn was so great! I have two American Bullies and one American Staffordshire Terrier, which combined can be a lot of energy! Lashawn stepped right in and took over like he had known them their entire life. He understands dog behavior and a pack mentality, and managed all three of mine beautifully, one of which is very jealous of the other two and demands a lot of one-on-one attention when the others are being petted. Lashawn did an amazing job and I have already booked him to come back!”

“Fatima took great care of our pets and was extremely respectful of our home. We would trust her to take care of our cats and dog and house again. She kept us updated on their behavior and sent us great pics of them. We would definitely hire her again.”

“We would definitely book Lorene to housesit again! She was wonderful at communicating with us while we were gone, our dogs looked happy and well taken care of, and our house was pristine upon our arrival back home.”

About: I have taken care of pets my whole life. I currently have cats, a dog, and a lizard! I have experience pet sitting for family and neighbors. I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I am flexible and can hang out with your pets as much as you would like. I am open to late nights or early mornings as well. I believe that pets are the most comfortable in their own homes. It’s better to come to them so they can stay where they know, rather than having to get comfortable in a new place.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Conklin
Lashawn watched our 2 bulldogs & 2 bunnies for almost 2 weeks while we were on vacation and was great! I was able to relax and not worry about the pets, knowing they were well taken care of and getting frequent updates and pictures. He even stayed late on his last day at our house due to our delayed flights which really helped us out. Would definitely recommend!

Ela stayed with our 2 Boston pups for 5 days at our home, and the experience was fantastic! She stayed in communication often, sent pics and videos, and took such great care of our pups! We never worried about them and we’ll book with Ela again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!!

Amy is amazing! Our dogs did not even know we were away with all of the love and attention they got from Amy while we were away! From the long walks, and fun indoor games when the weather wasn’t great, Amy took so much care to make sure they were happy in our absence. The photo and text updates were frequent, so we were able to stay connected while we were away. Amy is incredible!!!

Jaelen took amazing care of our sweet Lana (11 year old goldendoodle) and also took amazing care of our home. We never had to worry about anything and were able to enjoy our trip knowing our sweet old girl was in good hands. Thank you so much Jaelen, from Carl, Jackie, Lily, and especially Lana!
Finn did a great job for us watching both of our large dogs. My Bulldog unfortunately got an ear infection a few days before our trip, which put him on multiple medications. He was able to administer both the oral and topical medications without issue. We were able to relax on vacation because we knew our dogs were in good hands. I’ll be reaching out to Finn in the future for additional sitter work.

I was nervous to use Rover as i have had the same pet sitter for 10+ years. Eden put my worries to rest very quickly. She was extremely professional and very kind from the very first meet and greet visit. She sent pictures and updates throughout my trip. I will be using her in the future when we travel again.

Diane was fantastic. Communicated exceptionally well from the beginning. Made us feel comfortable with messages, pics and texts of our two boys. It was our first time leaving our 7 month old and we felt at ease throughout our trip. Sweet disposition with animals and very thankful for her assistance.

Emely is a very passionate dog person and I highly recommend her. Unfortunately she will more than likely become aggressively sought after this review but Bleu and I saw her first. Bleu loves her which warms my heart 💙 💜. Thank you Emely for being there for us.

Kyle did an amazing job caring for our dog! We reached out fairly last-minute, and he truly helped us out in a pinch. We weren’t sure how she would adjust to someone new in the house, but the updates we received made it clear she warmed up to him quickly. The regular messages put us at ease while we were away. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Conklin walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Conklin maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Conklin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
