About: I have five years experience in taking care of pets, I have mostly taken care of cats and dogs. I am versed in walking dogs, including non-dog friendly pets. I also have skills in taking care of animals that need special care, such as older or with health conditions that require medications. I truly enjoy being around them. Traits that are important to my success with animals are my patience, reliability, and integrity. I also have a desire to aid people, and engage with them. I am flexible and willing to learn new techniques if given the chance. I'm a student at UNR with one more semester to go and have plenty of time on the weekends and some weekdays to take care of your pet. About: I have always grown up with pets (dogs, cats, birds, fish…even a reptile or two!) I adopted my pup, Hurley, nearly 15 years ago and it has been one of my joys to have her in my life. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages, helping you practice any training you might be working on with your pooch, dispensing medications and other care needs, as well as keeping your furry friend safe if they have any anxieties or other difficult behaviors. While I am not a trainer, I have kept up regular formal, positive reinforcement training with my dog and we’ve also taken lots of fun classes like agility and nose training—meaning I know lots of fun games to keep your pup engaged during my visit. I also have experience caring for ducks and chickens, small reptiles and birds. I am a freelance consultant so my days tend to be pretty flexible. I am generally available throughout the day to care for your pooch. I am an attentive care-giver. I will follow all instructions, ensure your dog is safe in its environment—whether we are walking or playing. I have experience with dogs with medical or other special needs and will always ask about your preferences for care.

I am looking to give your pets some good outdoor time or just drop in and make sure they're fed and watered if need be! I can give medications if needed as well and have a background in pharmacy. From golden retrievers to dobermans, pit bulls, chihuahuas, and German shepherds, I have experience with all kinds of temperaments and dogs and am able to handle and care for all of them in the ways they need. I volunteer at the Nevada Humane Society and have completed a Fear Free Certification. I have trained all of the dogs I have taken care of and am very dedicated to making sure that they are well taken care of. When they are your best friend, they deserve the best. I will make sure that your dog gets plenty of love and care, and will be played with, and walked around to give them the socialization and exercise they need and want. I currently work full time, but have weekends off, and can sometimes do evenings, and love to spend my free time with pets. I fit pet care into my weekly routine by caring for a german shepherd weekly. I provide care for the pets by taking them on walks, and following any other normal care that the pet would typically require. I have 2 five year old german shepherds, as well as a 13 year old cat, so I am well equipped in dealing with multiple pets as well.

I'm CPR/First Aid certified for cats and dogs, comfortable following medication routines, including oral and injected medications. I work remotely, which gives me an abundance of flexibility and means I actually do spend time with the animals I'm caring for😉 I work remotely, so I organize my schedule around the animals I'm caring for rather than trying to squeeze them into my day. Morning walk at 6:30? Fine. Medication with dinner? Can do. Your dog insists on conducting a complete neighborhood security inspection before bed? Why not? Because, apparently that's what we're doing! 🤷🏾‍♀️😆 I enjoy it and try to make it fun for your pet. I care for pets in their own home whenever possible and I follow your routines for meals, walks, medications, playtime, bedtime rituals, and all the little quirks that make your pet your pet. I’m also looking after the household while I’m there too. I keep things tidy, bring in packages, monitor the home, and make sure you return to happy pets and a cared-for space.
