About: Worked closely with dogs and cats in a general practice veterinary clinic, developing a strong understanding of animal behavior, body language, and overall welfare. Gained experience recognizing signs of good health as well as changes in behavior or condition that may indicate illness or stress. Prioritized providing calm, compassionate care while ensuring each animal's safety and comfort, building confidence in handling pets with a variety of personalities and needs. I work full-time from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On those days, I'm available for check-ins or potty breaks before 7am or after 5:30pm, resulting in 8+ hours. On Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, I have a much more flexible schedule and can provide drop-in visits, potty breaks, walks, or playtime every couple of hours as needed. I'm committed to making sure each pet receives reliable care, attention, and plenty of love while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I take extra care to prevent escapes by being mindful around doors, gates, and leashes, and I always pay close attention to each pet's body language to help them feel comfortable and reduce fear or stress. I understand that every animal has a different personality, and I'm happy to work at their pace to build trust. For everyone's safety, I do not offer boarding in my home or bring my own pets to client homes, as I have a reactive dog and cats of my own. This allows me to give your pet my full attention in the environment where they are most comfortable.
“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! He has quickly become such an important part of Zara’s routine. The second she realizes he’s at the door to pick her up, she completely loses her mind with excitement—it’s the sweetest thing to watch. She absolutely adores him, and it’s clear the feeling is mutual. He is incredibly patient, attentive, and genuinely cares about the dogs he looks after. Knowing Zara is happy, loved, and so excited to spend time with him gives me complete peace of mind. It’s not easy finding someone you trust with your dog, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter. We feel so lucky to have found him!”

“Carrie is awesome. When I sent her a message, she responded back super fast and is great about communicating when she can or cannot walk my dog. She is always punctual and has a wonderful personality. 😊”

“Angie walked my two labradors twice a week while I recovered from knee surgery. She was always punctual, and communicative as needed. My dogs loved walking with her, and I would definitely recommend her!”

“Rachel and Dylan are awesome! They respond quickly. They take great care of our fur babies! I can tell they actually enjoy our dogs and I feel like my dogs are happier when we get home compared to others in the past! We will definitely try to book them when we need our next Rover!!!”
About: I have always grown up with pets (dogs, cats, birds, fish…even a reptile or two!) I adopted my pup, Hurley, nearly 15 years ago and it has been one of my joys to have her in my life. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages, helping you practice any training you might be working on with your pooch, dispensing medications and other care needs, as well as keeping your furry friend safe if they have any anxieties or other difficult behaviors. While I am not a trainer, I have kept up regular formal, positive reinforcement training with my dog and we’ve also taken lots of fun classes like agility and nose training—meaning I know lots of fun games to keep your pup engaged during my visit. I also have experience caring for ducks and chickens, small reptiles and birds. I am a freelance consultant so my days tend to be pretty flexible. I am generally available throughout the day to care for your pooch. I am an attentive care-giver. I will follow all instructions, ensure your dog is safe in its environment—whether we are walking or playing. I have experience with dogs with medical or other special needs and will always ask about your preferences for care.
About: I work from home, so dogs in my care are never left alone and always have company, attention, and love throughout the day. They get multiple walks, dog park time, a calm cozy environment, toys, music, and their own comfortable space to relax. They’re also welcome on the furniture and can sleep in bed if that’s what they’re used to. I truly see dogs as family members, not pets. I treat them the way I would treat my own child — with patience, affection, protection, and lots of care. I love having them near me while I work, and I make sure they feel safe, included, and deeply loved every moment they’re here. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home, so I’m around and available throughout the day. That means your pet gets more attention, regular potty breaks, and consistent companionship—not just a quick visit. On a typical day, I can plan morning, midday, and evening walks/potty breaks, plus playtime and feeding around my work schedule. I keep things structured but flexible, so I can match your pet’s routine (especially helpful for puppies, seniors, or pets that need extra check-ins). Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always the same: safety, routine, and a calm environment. I’m detail-oriented, I follow your instructions closely, and I keep you updated so you feel confident the whole time. In your home (drop-ins / house sitting): I stick to your pet’s normal schedule for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I do safety checks (doors/gates secured, leashes/harnesses fitted correctly, no access to unsafe items). I keep the space tidy and stress low—especially for pets who do best in their familiar environment. I send photo/video updates and notes after visits. In my home (boarding / daycare): Calm, supervised environment with plenty of attention since I work from home. Frequent potty breaks, exercise, and structured downtime. I keep pets separated when needed (feeding time, high energy, or if a dog prefers their own space). Only pet-safe areas are accessible—no unsafe foods, small objects, or risky spaces. My safety rules, always: I don’t take dogs off-leash unless it’s a securely fenced area and you’ve approved it. I use positive reinforcement (no harsh methods). I watch for signs of stress or illness and communicate quickly if anything seems off. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and for you to feel totally at ease.
About: I have taken care of dogs since I was 12 and still love doing it. Dogs make my day better and I love spending quality time with them. I currently work a full time job as a amazon delivery driver, I normally have Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday's off. I enjoy spending time with dogs on my free time. I have a fenced backyard with lots of room. I have 3 dogs both are super friendly and love playing. But if a dog ever comes over no matter the circumstances, dogs will never be left unattended and separated.
About: With over 7 years of professional sitter experience, I’m the person you call when you have a very specific way that you like things done, and would really like to leave town without worrying about any of it😆 I genuinely love getting to know animals. I actually want the detailed instructions. My background is in private home management and personal concierge work, so looking after the house comes naturally to me too. If I’m staying in your home, I’m paying attention for mail and packages that may come in. Pet areas kept clean. Plants don't mysteriously die. Trash doesn't pile up. If something looks wrong, I notice it. I've cared for multiple-pet households, senior dogs, pets with special needs and homes during multi-month stays. I'm CPR/First Aid certified for cats and dogs, comfortable following medication routines, including oral and injected medications. I work remotely, which gives me an abundance of flexibility and means I actually do spend time with the animals I'm caring for😉 I work remotely, so I organize my schedule around the animals I'm caring for rather than trying to squeeze them into my day. Morning walk at 6:30? Fine. Medication with dinner? Can do. Your dog insists on conducting a complete neighborhood security inspection before bed? Why not? Because, apparently that's what we're doing! 🤷🏾♀️😆 I enjoy it and try to make it fun for your pet. I care for pets in their own home whenever possible and I follow your routines for meals, walks, medications, playtime, bedtime rituals, and all the little quirks that make your pet your pet. I’m also looking after the household while I’m there too. I keep things tidy, bring in packages, monitor the home, and make sure you return to happy pets and a cared-for space. I’m warm with animals and extremely self-sufficient. I'm also a good communicator. You're going to hear from me. You'll get photos, updates and anything important that comes up while you're away And if your dog happens to look suspiciously happy without you, I will gladly provide photo evidence. 😁
“If you are looking for a caring person to look after your beloved pets, look no further! My husband and I cannot say enough great things about Cleo. We were an ongoing client of hers for 9 or 10 months, Mon-Fri. She was flexible, responsible, and treated our dogs like they were her own. Our 2 pups absolutely adore her! Only reason we stopped the routine services with her is due to life changes on our behalf, but she will definitely be our #1 go-to if we ever go out of town!”

About: Animals bring me peace and joy and I just can't help but want to be around them to support them. I have raised dogs and other animals throughout my life. I have had cats, fish, hamsters, and even hermit crabs. Animals are always full of life and hope. I have two dogs now. A mother and daughter. It really shows me how deep animals can feel. I love them. Pet sitting is my priority. I spend 24/7 at home unless I am at the park or running errands. I can devote ample time to pet care. I have a fenced yard and two small dogs. They go for walks, trips to the park, as well as off road fun. Like hiking, kayaking, and trail walks.
About: I have hands on experience working at a doggy daycare, where I cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. In addition to dogs, I have experience handling and caring for cats and small animals, including rodents. Pet care is an important and fulfilling part of my weekly routine. I work a job, so I’m fully available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. If there is a change, I will notify you. On the other days, I can provide care between the hours of 7- 10 PM. I make sure to plan my schedule carefully, so both of our schedules align and so I can give pets the time, attention, and consistency they need. When caring for pets in their own home, I make it a priority to keep them comfortable by following their usual routine... feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and more. I give them as much love and affection as I would my own, always aiming to keep their tails wagging, etc. I treat every home with respect and make sure it stays secure and clean. I also send regular updates and photos to the owners so they can feel at ease, knowing their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for.
“Thanks Faith. Mocha says she was very excited to see you and enjoyed her walks. Thanks for the promptness and the updates, we’ll be calling you when go out of town again.”
About: Hi, I’m Kiara! I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, and I know firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and love. Whether it’s going for long walks, playing fetch, giving belly rubs, or making sure your pet gets fed and cared for on schedule, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they’re my own—lots of attention, cuddles, and care. I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to send updates so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is in good hands. Whether you need daily walks, drop-in visits, or overnight pet sitting, I’ll make sure your pets get the exercise, love, and attention they deserve. I’m currently unemployed and a new first time mommy just trying to make ends meet. I am available 24/7 and I am okay with last minute bookings! When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure they stay on their usual routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll provide fresh food and water, clean up after them, and give them the love and attention they’re used to. For dogs, that means plenty of walks, playtime, and belly rubs to keep them happy and exercised. For cats, that could be play with their favorite toys, brushing, or just quiet company for more independent kitties. I always take time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs—whether it’s an energetic pup who loves adventure or a shy cat who just needs gentle care. I’ll keep food and litter/walk areas tidy, follow your instructions closely, and keep an eye out for any changes in behavior or health. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel reassured that your pets are safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
