“Janet came through for us again! This time I had 2 walks booked a couple weeks out. The day before each walk, she texted to let me know she would be there as scheduled. Such a nice thing to do!”

“Carrie is awesome. When I sent her a message, she responded back super fast and is great about communicating when she can or cannot walk my dog. She is always punctual and has a wonderful personality. 😊”

About: I had a dog from the ages of 2 to 15. Unfortunately, I have not had the opportunity to get a new one since then (I am 20 now), and I miss having a pup around! I learned how to take care of her from a very young age, and I also have experience with dog sitting for friends as well as babysitting my nieces regularly. I currently work part-time with consistent 8 hour shifts on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 am to 6 pm and a occasionally a few shorter shifts throughout the week. This makes me available to be hanging out with your dog Sundays through Thursdays for majority of the day, and before and after work Friday and Saturday! I grew up with dogs that I no longer have, and I've pet sat for friends and family many times! I also am an aunt to two toddler girls that I watch fairly consistently. I figure that if I can handle those crazy girls, I can handle your crazy dogs! I can follow exact instructions to ensure you know what kind of care I will be providing, and I can also just use my experience and knowledge of keeping babies alive!
“JayJay did a great job. I was on the other side of the country and felt very comfortable with her taking care of my dog. Her daily updates gave me a sense of security that my fur baby was in good hands.”

About: I’ve been pet sitting dogs and cats for the past 10 years and have experience caring for pets with different personalities, routines, and needs. Having dogs and cats of my own has given me a strong understanding of how important it is for pets to feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while their owners are away. I’m comfortable with daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, giving lots of attention, and making sure pets keep their usual routine so they feel at home. I am currently working part time and will be sure to provide my availability, so that together we can be sure your pet is given the best possible care. I will ensure your pet is well cared for while you're away, providing them with plenty of attention and care. They are family afterall.
“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! He has quickly become such an important part of Zara’s routine. The second she realizes he’s at the door to pick her up, she completely loses her mind with excitement—it’s the sweetest thing to watch. She absolutely adores him, and it’s clear the feeling is mutual. He is incredibly patient, attentive, and genuinely cares about the dogs he looks after. Knowing Zara is happy, loved, and so excited to spend time with him gives me complete peace of mind. It’s not easy finding someone you trust with your dog, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter. We feel so lucky to have found him!”

“Tabetha exceeded expectations by providing captivating pictures and videos of the walks. This thoughtful touch not only kept you informed about Kuma's activities but also allowed you to witness the enjoyable moments during each walk. The visual updates added a level of transparency and reassurance, enhancing the overall experience of using Tabetha's dog walking service. The meet and greet with her dogs demonstrated Tabetha's commitment to creating a sociable environment for Kuma. Allowing Kuma to socialize during walks with Tabetha's dogs is a testament to her understanding of canine behavior and the importance of positive interactions. This approach goes beyond a simple walk, fostering a sense of community and companionship for Kuma during the outings. Kuma's enthusiastic playtime with Tabetha's German Shepherd underscores the effectiveness of Tabetha's ability to manage and integrate dogs within a group. The positive experience of play reflects on Tabetha's skills in curating compatible playgroups and ensuring that each dog, including Kuma, has a great time. Tabetha's dog walking service stands out for its commitment to communication, socialization, and creating a joyful environment for furry companions.”

About: Hi, I’m Kiara! I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, and I know firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and love. Whether it’s going for long walks, playing fetch, giving belly rubs, or making sure your pet gets fed and cared for on schedule, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they’re my own—lots of attention, cuddles, and care. I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to send updates so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is in good hands. Whether you need daily walks, drop-in visits, or overnight pet sitting, I’ll make sure your pets get the exercise, love, and attention they deserve. I’m currently unemployed and a new first time mommy just trying to make ends meet. I am available 24/7 and I am okay with last minute bookings! When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure they stay on their usual routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll provide fresh food and water, clean up after them, and give them the love and attention they’re used to. For dogs, that means plenty of walks, playtime, and belly rubs to keep them happy and exercised. For cats, that could be play with their favorite toys, brushing, or just quiet company for more independent kitties. I always take time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs—whether it’s an energetic pup who loves adventure or a shy cat who just needs gentle care. I’ll keep food and litter/walk areas tidy, follow your instructions closely, and keep an eye out for any changes in behavior or health. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel reassured that your pets are safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.
“Dayle is amazing! From the moment she walked in to meet my often difficult Kali girl, I knew it would be a good fit. Kali instantly jumped on her and gave kisses.. Which she doesn't often do! I went to an all day event and needed someone to just take her out a couple times. Dayle was great about flexible scheduling and making it work. And she's just an amazing human all around! I will definitely seek her out next time I need some help.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
