About: Hi, I go by Ashton. I began working with dogs in a professional setting in 2011 in Anchorage Alaska. I received my Certificate to be a Professional Dog Trainer through Animal Behavior College and immediately began working along side seasoned obedience, behavior modification and agility trainers. After some time I was able to begin mentoring new trainers in basic obedience, teaching them how to run puppy and adult basic obedience group classes. Though my profession career began in 2011, my passion for working with dogs truly started many years before that, here in Reno,NV, when I adopted a Chow Chow named Leo. I was just a teenager and Leo had come with several severe behavioral issues. He was both human and dog aggressive, destructive, not house broken, had sever separation anxiety, ran aware regularly and was leash reactive. Despite being uneducated in dog behavior at the time, I began to do my own research and was dedicated to teaching Leo how to feel safe, happy and confident so that he would overcome his many barriers. We walked every day and I tirelessly worked toward socializing him. When I moved to Alaska, I took Leo with me, he became my practice dog and we learned dog behavior together! In no time, he was attending puppy class with me, rolling on the floor letting puppies jump all over him. He was going on walks with other leash reactive dogs, HE was the calm presence that helped other dogs see that it was all okay. Leo learned to love people and other animals, he learn to trust and because of him and everything he overcame, my heart was set on making that difference in as many lives as I possibly could. In 2024, as a single parent, I made the difficult choice to "retire" from dog training to focus on feeding other passions and traveling with my daughter. During that time I have continued to have a lovely time with my own dogs and the dogs of close family members, but I am starting to feel the ache of wanting to help again. I have decided to offer limited services related to dog walking, drop in visits, play dates, nail trims and limited bathing/grooming. (Oh, did I mention I used to be a dog foster parent, groomer and kennel tech alongside my training?) I have outline my services in more detail below; however, feel free to reach out with any questions if you don't see what you are looking for! I look forward to hearing from you :) I am offering evening walks Monday - Friday, drop in visits and extended walks on Saturdays and Sundays. Dog Daycare is available for limited hours on Sundays and will be accepted on a case by case basis. Loose leash walking training can be provided in conjunction with walks at an additional cost. Please message for details. All dogs are required to be collared with identification for walks. I will request a microchip number if they have been chipped in the event of an emergency. For your dogs safety and mine: If your dog is an extreme puller, I may request to be allowed to use tools such as an easy walk harness and sort lead. If I do not have your dogs size, I may request you purchase one.

About: I've had animals my whole life but started professionally working with them about 5 years ago. My own animals are special needs, so I know what it's like to need someone to care for them. I love animals and hope to get to know yours! I'm available on Saturday, Sunday, Monday afternoon/evening and the evening on Friday! Other days I work full time at an animal clinic and go to school, so weekends are what I can do for you! I am very good at reading animal behavior and knowing how to get dogs and cats to trust (or at least tolerate) me. I also am familiar with a lot of different medicines and how important it is to administer them carefully, as I had a pet with chronic illnesses and work with them daily. I want to use my knowledge from working at the clinic to help you and your pets.

About: Hi there! I’m a 29 year old living in Reno for the past 10 years. I’m currently located in Northwest Reno area. I'm a lifelong animal lover with a soft spot for all pets big or small! Since I was little I have been a trusted pet sitter for friends, family, and neighbors. During college I worked at a boarding/training facility, volunteered at the Humane Society, and still love taking care of pets. I consider myself a patient, reliable, attentive individual who prioritizes open and honest communication so you will always be in the loop.   My dream is to have at least four dogs on property and to open a dog rescue to save, foster, and find loving homes for dogs in need. In the meantime I’m looking to help people with their pet care needs. My work schedule is Tuesday-Friday 9-6pm.    For DAYCARE: Monday - Friday with occasional weekend availability.    FOR WALKING: I’m always trying to get more steps in! Saturday, Sunday, Monday are my most open days. Also open to midweek walks if you live nearby.   I live in a safe, quiet neighborhood with lots of walking paths to mix up our daily walks. About: From the age of 8 I have had many animals that I've personally had to care for. Whether that be dogs or cats. Friends and family have even personally relied on me to care for their four-legged friends. So, if you leave your pets with me they will be treated as if they were part of the family. I currently work at an elementary school in the before and after school program. I am mostly available Saturday/Sunday; Saturday 6am-1:30pm I am unavailable so any time after that. Sunday I’m available all day. As for the weekdays, I work at a school and am a college student but after 6pm I’m free so just ask and I’ll let you know if I am available. I currently live in a house, but it is very spacious. With horses and goats and chickens on property. So lots of animals for them to play with and lots of room for your furry friend to run around. I am also used to running around with children/pets so your furry friend will have lots of fun.

About: My sister relied on me to house sit and watch her dogs for a couple of weeks every summer when I was in middle and high school. I grew up with dogs and was responsible for taking them on walks, feeding them, brushing them, bathing them, and playing with them. I am between jobs so I am quite flexible right now. I am looking to get a full-time position at which point I will update my schedule here. My cats are feral rescues so I cannot afford to bring any other animals into my home, but I am very cautious while going on walks to be very aware of other dogs (especially off leash), people driving too fast in residential areas, and making sure to bring adequate water for walks on warm days.

About: Growing up in Florida, I was always surrounded by different types of animals, which gave me an early appreciation for how different every pet’s personality and needs can be. More recently, I spent last year traveling throughout California as a sitter with TrustedHousesitters, staying in homeowners’ houses and caring for dogs and cats. Through these stays, I’ve gained real, hands-on experience with daily routines, feeding schedules, walks, medications, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for friends and family since grade school, including fostering dogs today. Both my cats lived to be in their 20’s! My summer is free for all animal needs. About: Hello, I'm Mira! I own two little fur babies of my own, both bulldogs. One of the main things I understand in searching for a pet sitter is someone who genuinely cares for your babies safety and stimulation when left without their owner, so I hope to be assistance and relieve some of that anxiety you may be feeling. I specialize in in-depth hygiene care for dogs, as well as medical assistance for those who need it. One of my bulldogs, an oldie who is 6 years old, requires constant cleaning and medication such as eye drops, ear washes, and pills every morning and night. My other one, 4 years, who is a ball of energy, needs 24/7 activity to provide him with enough release and content at the end of the day. I am not unfamiliar with the intensive care they need, as well as the love they deserve, no matter their history. So I hope to be there for your babies and give them the utmost satisfaction. :) With school, I have classes with huge breaks that allow me to work and head right your way. Friday's are my best weekdays, as I am available from 12pm and on. As for my pets, one of them loves to sunbathe and lounge, considering his old nature and joint problems, while the other requires an immense amount of energy to get him through the day without being bored. With previous dogs in the past, many were just as he was, needing constant play time and outdoor time to get them rejuvenated! Luckily for them, I loved hiking and taking brisk walks, so for them, it was a perfect match.

About: Hi! I'm Katie, I have worked in the Veterinary field for the last 11 years and have had animals my entire life. I am an Animal Massage & Rehab Therapist/owner of Physio Pet Massage. I recently moved to Reno from Chicago. I have had pets my entire life and I currently have 3 senior pets. Elliott (cat) 18 years old, Scrabble (dog-boxer mix) 14.5 years old and Rufus (dog-Staffordshire mix) 11.5 years old. All of my pets have some medical issues now that they are Seniors, so I am very well versed in giving medications and caring for pets with special needs. I worked as an Animal Rehab Therapist at a Vet office for 2 years, volunteered at several different animal rescues/shelters over the years and worked at a doggy daycare. All of my trainings focused on Positive Reinforcement techniques. -Fear Free Certified Pet Professional -Certified Veterinary Massage & Rehab Therapist -Nationally Certified Canine Massage Therapist -American Red Cross Dog & Cat First Aid Certified. I will care for you pet like they are one of my own and keep you informed of any updates or health concerns. I know I love getting pictures and updates of how my fur babies are doing when I am not with them. So, if you like I can send you pictures of your pet(s) so you see them when you are away. I'm currently working part-time, so I will have plenty of time to care for your pets. I do have my own 3 senior pets, so I will not be available for any overnight stays. I am only able to care for your pets at your home, not mine. I will be respectful of your pets and your home. I will try to gain your pets trust, build a relationship with them and not force them into any uncomfortable situations. In the cases of severe weather or extreme heat/cold, I can provide your pet with some exercises or extra play time inside.
