“Jessica did great! She connected with our special needs senior dog, and our social cats. She kept in touch with daily updates and pictures. She even watch for packages, and offered to cleaned the sheets she used. Super sweet animal lover! Glad our paths crossed! She is on our corner, and I plan to work with Jessica again.”

“Tracy was so communicative and attentive with our big special pitbull. He requires extra care and caution with his reactivity and we felt safe leaving him in her hands. She sent us tons of updates every day and asked thoughtful questions about what he needed. We even met a few times before she watched him to make sure she had all the info needed and to make sure we were on the same page. I felt like Tracy really cared about our dogs well being and took the responsibility seriously. I highly recommend Tracy and Richard to look after your furry friends!”

“Niles took excellent care of our pets while we were away and they were all comfortable with him. Very respectful, courteous and couldn’t ask for more from a pet sitter. Will definitely use again.”

“Dustin was great with my little pack of 3 and kept me in the loop with pictures, videos, and good communication through the weekend. I have 1 who can be shy and standoffish to new people, and typically will mope in his kennel the whole time, everytime I’m gone. He got zoomies as soon as he met Dustin and not only didn’t stay mopey during Dustin’s time watching them, but actually played with Dustin & seemed to have a great time! I would happily book with him again and recommend to others”

“Sofia has gone above and beyond caring for our 4 dogs while we were out of town. Her sweetness and attention to detail with our dogs, made us feel not worried. Usually our dog Feebs barks at sitters, and she didn’t with Sofia. We would definitely love to bring her to sit for us again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you!!!!”

“I could tell at the meet and greet that Angie was great with dogs. She communicated wonderfully with me the whole week I was gone. I came home to a spotless home and very happy dogs! I would definitely recommend Angie to anyone looking for a fabulous dog/house sitter!”

“Chris did an awesome job taking care of my two dogs for 3 weeks while I traveled very far to see family. He stayed in my apartment with them, and kept them active with lots of walks/runs, finding places where they can run around off-leash. He was always friendly and communicative and went above and beyond to make my dogs happy and comfortable. Really highly recommend him!”

“Michael does an exceptional job attending to the daily needs of my dogs, but just as important to them are the number of walks and fetch time they get. As always, they are happy to see me arrive home, but lay around waiting for Michael to arrive even after I've been home a few days. That is the sign of a good sitter. My house is always left in equal or better condition than when I left which is so much appreciated. Thanks again, Michael, for another over and above experience!”

“Kinan goes above and beyond as both a sitter and dog walker. He takes exceptional care of my German Shepherd, Zara, and it’s clear how much he genuinely loves animals. As a house sitter, he’s the best I’ve ever had—he left my home spotless, was so respectful of our space, and spent so much quality time with my girl while I was away. I can’t recommend him enough—10/10!”

“Kalle was great!!! She was very thorough in her questions to make sure she understood my instruction s since this was her first time. She went above an beyond what was expected. My Cali was looking for her the day after I returned home.”

About: I grew up with a husky dog throughout my entire childhood and I am now a proud cat owner. Huskies can be particularly difficult dogs to walk, and I have been walking them for as long as I can remember. My parents considered our dog as a part of the family and always provided an abundance of love and activity. I have taken the same approach with my cats and I love every moment. I have had my older cat, Iris, for 5 years and I rescued a kitten, Aster, almost 2 months ago. My connection with the pets in my life drives my love for all of the pets that I provide care to. I love puppies and kittens, antics and all. I enjoy walking, hiking, and playing with dogs. Being a cat owner, I have a wonderful time hanging out with cats. Whether they love to play, just want pets, or even take a while to warm up to people, I’m here for it. I am most available Sunday-Thursday. Friday and Saturday can work for specific situations. Sunday: all day Monday: before 5 pm Tuesday: all day Wednesday: before 5 pm Thursday: all day Friday: before 2 pm Saturday: available for house sitting for the right situation. Send me a message and we can discuss if it’s a good fit. I absolute LOVE to play and will be good company for a dog. I am mindful, and will be sure to give them lots of potty breaks. I am also an out doors person so walks are no problem! I approach every cat slowly and allow them to make the first move. Once we break the ice, I love engaging in play with interactive toys or providing pets based off of what the cat wants.
“Josh was amazing with my Gypsy. I have always left her with a family member but Josh is now my official pet setter. He is caring and treated my dog as his own. He stayed at my home and took care of it like it was his own. I would highly recommend him as a pet setter. He is five stars all the way.”

“Janet is an All Star! I was hesitant to get a pet sitter, but meeting Janet immediately put me at ease. She was great with communication, trustworthy and professional. But, most important, my little anxious puppy is still looking for her after she left! I will rebook with Janet again.”

“Ashleigh was great! Our dogs were very well cared for and we received lots of pictures and texts to keep us posted. Ashleigh stayed overnight and took great care, everything was very tidy when we returned home.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lemmon Valley
Nani was fantastic! She was very communicative and left my house even better than she came into it. She was very kind and understanding when one of my dogs had an unexpected injury the week before the booking and she was able to take care of all of her needs and was very helpful. I would highly recommend her!

Tanya did an outstanding job caring for our two dogs and cat while house-sitting for three nights. She provided daily updates with pictures, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. The house was spotless when we returned, and she even surprised us with a treat! We highly recommend Tanya to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter.

Jessica was a true life saver! From our last minute request to issues getting our e-key padlock to work, she went with the flow and took amazing care of our pup. We are looking forward to having Jessica watch Thor again in the future because she is so amazing and caring for animals!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lemmon Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lemmon Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lemmon Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
