“Kinan was exceptional. He took great care of our two pups, made sure the house was spotless when we arrived home, and helped us with a very big project. Can't recommend him enough, and plan to work with him again!”

“Natalie was fantastic! She kept us updated regularly and gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dogs were clearly well cared for and happy. Highly recommend her—we’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Michael, took amazing care of my two golden retrievers during his recent house sit. So much appreciated his multiple photos daily, especially seeing how happy the dogs were playing with their toys, retrieving, going for walks and just chilling. Michael worked on one of the dogs retrieving skills as that pup struggles with the drop or release part of retrieving. I can see a lot of improvement already. The house was left in beautiful condition. Thank you so much, Michael, for going above and beyond!”

“Morganne was reliable, communicative and very sweet and gentle with my animals. She has a giant breed herself, and she provided safe, consistent care for my giant breed. My cat loved her, and my cat is picky about people. Morganne is a gem.”

“Where can I begin! Emely took her time sending me lots of pictures and updates about my pup Maggie! I felt so relieved that Maggie was having such a fun time with Emely. I will definitely be using Emely’s services from here on out!”
“Kalle was great!!! She was very thorough in her questions to make sure she understood my instruction s since this was her first time. She went above an beyond what was expected. My Cali was looking for her the day after I returned home.”

“Danika was very professional and kind to our pup. She sent lots of update photos and walked her as much as we asked her to. She kept us informed about how things were going and when we returned our pup was as happy as ever so I trust she was taken care of. She also kept our home clean and took out the trash for us.”

About: Pets have always been a integral part of my life. Maybe not all my own but those close to me as well. I have taken care of many senior animals and also some with special needs. I have volunteered at Best Friends Sanctuary in Utah-the largest in the US. I work on call and set my own schedule, which provides alot of flexibility. Most of my work is at night and Saturdays. Prepared to drop in twice a day if needed. I'm always attuned to potential dangers in the house/yard and keep tabs on their whereabouts. I offer plenty of stimulation, attention, and walks.
“Dustin was very prompt with communication and sent frequent pictures and videos of our pups on our trip. Our older dog can be stubborn and picky about taking her meds, and he was patient with her and able to get her to take her medications, so that really says a lot to us. We will be using Dustin’s services again for our next trip in October too.”
“Ivonne and her family are the BEST! My little dog was sad when he saw my suitcases and I thought he might be even sick, but Ivonne and her family made him feel better and happy immediately, and they made me feel the same! They spoiled my sweet dog and even spoiled me by leaving my house cleaner than it’s ever been! They are truly caring, loving gems and I am so grateful!”

“Chris got along really well with our Bernie. He walked him several times a day and we came home to a happy dog. I have already hired Chris for 3 weeks in the Fall and feel confident that Bernie will be well looked after.”

“Johanna was fantastic! I have a 16 year old pup and she did excellent taking care of her. I felt comfortable having her in my home and she’s great at communicating updates. I would absolutely use her again, no hesitation.”

“Sadie did a great job and sent several pictures of our pets while we were gone, which is always nice! We would definitely ask Sadie to take care of our pets again.”

“Super sweet, and took such wonderful care of my fur babies. She instantly felt like family, and took care of my babies like her own. I will DEFINITELY be using her again when I come to this area visiting family.”

“I'm not even sure where to begin with my gratitude for Angie and the way that she cared for our two dogs. We went on a 10-day vacation, and she stayed in our home with our 15-year-old dog and our eight-year-old dog. Angie contacted me multiple times per day with pictures and texts to let me know how the dogs were doing. She took them on walks, fed them, comforted them, and she did an amazing job managing our older dogs medications. I could tell through her communication that our dogs were in excellent hands. Sadly, three days into our trip our older dog suffered a seizure and Angie kept me abreast of any changes. The day after the seizure, our dog passed away at home and Angie nursed her into her passing. This by far was one of the most devastating things to have happen while on vacation. Angie worked with my dear friend and took care of our sweet dog until the very end. Angie not only loved our dog as she passed, she loved and cared for our younger dog in a way that I can never repay her. I had no idea when I ventured onto Rover that I would find such a kind soul to love our dogs. I will forever be grateful to her and I hope that this review can help someone feel comforted in putting their trust in Angie.”

“Cat M. did an excellent job with my dog, Maggie. Cat walked Maggie twice a day and she even bathed her after Maggie had rolled in the dirt. My house was in the same condition as when I left it, which was greatly appreciated. Cat even spent her own time with me after I returned to teach me some tricks to use when taking Maggie for a walk, as Maggie is a puller and she is reactive to other dogs. Cat has been the best pet sitter through Rover that I’ve had in the past and I will definitely book with her again.”

“Luka did a fantastic job watching our Australian Sheppard and two kitties while we were away. Our Aussie needs a lot of attention and activities or he gets restless. Luka kept him happy and our home was in perfect condition when we got home. Highly recommend!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hidden Valley
Here’s a polished review you can post: Angie took wonderful care of our two dogs and our son’s puppy during our 12-day cruise. Managing three dogs, especially with a new puppy in the mix is no small task, but she kept them well cared for, exercised, and happy throughout our trip. Communication across time zones was occasionally a little challenging, but Angie still sent daily texts and photos, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. She also ran into a few unexpected challenges at the house and did a great job troubleshooting to make sure everything stayed in order. Overall, we were very pleased with her care and wouldn’t hesitate to book Angie again. Five stars!

We met Tracie through Rover and did a meet and greet before she stayed at our house for a week with our two dogs and our daughter’s dog. At the meet and greet, the dogs instantly felt at ease with Tracie. During her stay, she did a wonderful job dealing with three unique dog personalities. She is a great communicator and sent regular pictures and updates while we were away. It was such an amazing feeling to be able to relax on vacation and know that our pets were in such great hands. We will request booking with Tracie again and have told our friends about her excellence and professionalism.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Hidden Valley walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Hidden Valley maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Hidden Valley choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
