“Kyla took care of Leo on short notice and kept in touch with updates while we were away. Leo seemed very happy and relaxed the whole time. We really appreciated her communication and care!”

“Sonia and her family were amazing with Symba. They cared for him as if he were their own. They ensured to send pics and videos of the weekend interactions with their own dog Lazer. Greatly appreciated. Can't wait to book again”

“Roseanne was amazing! I my dog Luxie with her for 2 weeks while we went to OBX. She checked in frequently, sent pictures/videos, praised my dog, bathed her and genuinely loved her. Luxie is normally very shy, timid and will not eat if I am not around. Roseanna and her boys were experienced, loving and kind to my pup! Would definitely use her again!!”

“Claire is the best!!! She takes such good care of our pup. As long as she keeps letting him into her home, we will keep rebooking. Couldn’t ask for a more loving pet sitter. ❤️❤️❤️”

“Jolanta was so great with our pup Franklin! She was great with communication. She played with him & sent pics. We look forward to having Jolanta care for him again!”

“I was nervous at 1st to leave Kensi with anyone because we have never left her over night with anyone. But Christine took extremely great care of our pup. Would recommend her also to someone who needs a pet sitter..”

“Audrey was an amazing host for our pup, Popa, that we rescued only a couple of weeks ago. Given the recent adoption, we were nervous to leave her somewhere so soon. Audrey's extensive experience with dogs (and particularly rescues) put us at ease and made it such a seamless experience! As new dog parents she also provided us with some helpful tips. Popa obviously felt at home there and frankly I don't think she wanted to leave :)”

“Opal was really well cared for by Tao. Tao's own dog, Riley, has just the right amount of energy to be a superb companion for Opal. Tao updated us of Opal's activities with fun pictures and videos. All the time, we felt that Opal was in good hands.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Emaunal and Jennifer were amazing! Frost had a blast and came home tired and happy. Emaunal and Jennifer sent adorable updates and pics, and even gave Frost his dinner and 🐾👍. Would definitely recommend! 🐶💕 Looking forward to sending Frost there more in the future. Thank you”

“Junior and his family were awesome with Murphy! I received updates regularly. I will definitely use them again. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for great pet sitters!”

“Megan is amazing! She took really good of Chewie and even gave him a good wash for me when his fur got a little dirty. She provided me pictures of his stay and kept me up to date of how he was doing. Chewie felt right at home and was able to adapt well. One of the main things that really impressed me was she was able to have Chewie start going outside to potty more. Now at home, Chewie goes outside and has less accidents in the house. Book with Megan, she will love your pup!”
“Meghan was amazing!! We left our dog Kea with her and her husband and they treated her like part of the family. She sent updates throughout the day and Kea came home so tired from all the fun she had! Would definitely recommend Maghan!”

“Exceptional care for our Stella again on her good days and bad days as a senior pup with a chronic health condition. Ryan and his family go above and beyond to ensure she is loved and has the best care even offering vet trip. You can travel knowing your fur baby is in great hands.”

“Nancy was amazing. We have two older, 70+ lb dogs a she took them for 11 days and cared for them as if they were her own. We got pictures of them on walks, napping, and sneaking into her bed. She was responsive and so caring. She even dropped them off at our house after our plane landed, making things so much easier for us. We will definitely be using her (and hopefully only her) for our future trips.”

“I brought my dog Jasper to Katie for a day visit in preparation for an overnight as he’s a little clingy and sensitive to changes in routine. He did spectacular with her. He was able to rest, go for a walk and Katie sent me so many wonderful pictures of him absolutely relaxed and having the best time. Katie was able to assuage my anxieties and treated my dog as if he was her own. I highly recommend!”

“We felt very comfortable leaving our two cats in Maria’s care. She provided a safe and welcoming home for them and we could tell from the pictures she sent every day that our pets felt relaxed. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
