“Once again, we could not be happier with our boarding experience with Mr. Tao. Being away on vacation, it is such a relief to get regular updates on our dogs along with pictures of them having a great time. Mr. Tao and his family take excellent care of our dogs and are excellent at communicating regularly. The dogs seemed so relaxed when we picked them up which tells us that they had a vacation of their own and were very well take care of. Thank you Mr. Tao!!”

“Jolanta was the perfect sitter for our nervous puppy. She has a beautiful home with a fenced backyard, and our puppy loved getting to play with another dog during the stay. Jolanta sent great photos and videos and has such a warm, knowing way with dogs. It was clear our puppy had a wonderful time, and I recommend her with utmost confidence.”

“I can't say enough good things about Rachel! Leaving my fur baby, Lucy, was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but Rachel made it so much easier. She sent daily updates and pictures, so I could see Lucy’s sweet face and know she was in good hands. Rachel was incredibly attentive and caring, and it's clear she loves animals just as much as I do. When I picked Lucy up, she was beaming with joy and looked like she'd been well taken care of. I was so impressed with how Rachel had followed her routine and given her all the snuggles and love she needed. I highly recommend Rachel to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter. Thank you, Rachel, for making my trip so much less stressful and for being an amazing caregiver to my little girl!”

About: I've worked with animals of all sizes since I was 12 years old. From volunteering on farms and ranches, to caring for small exotic animals and dogs of my own, I love animals of all sorts and enjoy just spending time with them whenever I can. I've spent the better part of my life involved with animals, I've pet sit for a number of families and have even worked on rehabilitating abandoned horses. I am very comfortable working with dogs that have disabilities as well as I have watched dogs that have diabetes, seizures, paralysis, and age related issues and despite the disabilities we still make the stay an enjoyable one. With me, dogs will get plenty of love, play time, and as many walks as they'd like! I currently hold a full time remote job so my flexibility is great for pet sitting! I can do morning, afternoon and/or evening walks, I can accept pet care in my home or travel. I have many options for accommodation. I reside in a safe private community townhome with plenty of walking paths and a fenced in yard. I do prefer to host at my home as it makes remote work easier due to my inability to transport my monitors but am open to house sitting upon request.
“Audrey was an amazing host for our pup, Popa, that we rescued only a couple of weeks ago. Given the recent adoption, we were nervous to leave her somewhere so soon. Audrey's extensive experience with dogs (and particularly rescues) put us at ease and made it such a seamless experience! As new dog parents she also provided us with some helpful tips. Popa obviously felt at home there and frankly I don't think she wanted to leave :)”

“Rose has been amazing with our dog Jamie! She is extremely personable, and very accommodating to our needs. She is very good with animals, and really knew how to introduce Jamie to the other boarders and help him assimilate to the environment. This was our first time leaving Jamie in a home other than our own, and we weren’t sure how that was going to play out- and Rose really made us feel comfortable that our baby was in good hands ❤️ Highly recommend!!!”

“Megan and her husband took wonderful care of our dog Hudson. Megan kept us posted a few times a day with photos and notes on how he was doing during his stay, he was having a blast! Hudson is very attached to us so leaving hom is always hard, but he looked so happy and cozy in their home- it made our time away that much more relaxed!”

“Lauren is the perfect pet sitter for your fur baby! She's very attentive to detail, has great communication, and sends pictures and checks in every day. Our Callie girl loved her stay and we already booked Lauren for our next trip. Thanks again Lauren for taking such great care of our girlie.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Ivelisse! She took such amazing care of Omen while I was away. She was kind, patient, and genuinely loved animals. She was so attentive to his needs, gave him lots of love and playtime, and even went out of her way to feed him when he ran out of food, something I truly appreciated. I felt completely at peace knowing he was in such good hands. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, thoughtful, and caring with pets!”

Such a great sitter! Dorothee sent daily updates, along with pictures and videos. We were away for a bit over 2 weeks and she made us feel comfortable leaving both our fur babies as we knew they were in good hands. Highly recommend and will most certainly use in the near future. So happy we found her.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
