Heather is an excellent pet sitter! Our little senior dog, Miki, stayed with her for a week while we were on vacation. Heather responded to all messages very promptly and is a great communicator. She followed all instructions to the letter and kept us updated on how our little boy was doing. At one point, Miki seemed to be feeling under the weather. Heather calmly shared her concerns and we were able to talk through a solution together. When we picked Miki up, he was happy and comfortable in Heather’s home. I would recommend Heather without hesitation!

Meg was great. Communication was easy and the provisions for my pup were just like home. Price very fair and in fact was same as price I was going to pay for a kennel stay which was not what I wanted to do so I was so happy to find Meg.

Jeffrey was extremely responsive to my questions and wrote every day with updates and photos. He was patient with Papaya's anxiety, and madensure she ate, even if it meant offering her handfuls of food at a time. It's the first time we left our sweet goofy girl with someone, but it felt good to know she was in such good hands. Thank you, Jeffrey!

Kristen provided loving care for my 15 yr old Beagle, while also following instructions with his food plan and meds. Additionally, she provided lots of stimulating activities for this little sniffer, including her own little chihuahua, Cashew, and other little boarding doggies. (My little guy gets more stimulation in her apartment than he gets from me!) While Kristen is a great boarder, for my occasional trips away, I am now considering her as a day care provider too. And she is very accommodating and understanding of trip delays, as well. Will be sure to book with Kristen again soon. (Her own little baby boy loves dogs too).

Stormy had a great time with Mariam and the other doggies there. She helped calm my fears about leaving our pup for the first time and answered all my numerous questions. She sent pictures and videos the whole time we were away and I swear our pup came back a different, better behaved dog. We wouldn’t hesitate to send her to Mariam’s again the next time we go away. Thanks for taking care of our girl!!

Cindy was great with Hershey girl. She knew which leash to use so she does not pull and made us feel comfortable knowing Hershey was in good hands. We also loved seeing the picture and video updates.

About: I have taken care of dogs for the last five years. I am reliable, dependable and love animals more than anything! They deserve to have just as much fun while their owners are away. Buddy gets 2 walks in the morning before I leave for work. I work about 15 minutes away from home. I use my lunch break to come home and walk Buddy from 1230-1p every day. Then I am home for the night by 430, which we then spend the night to go on a nice long walk after dinner. Fresh water bowls, fresh meals, treats (if owner approves), lots of fetch, chase around the house and dog snuggles. They will get at least 5 walks a day (rain or shine).

About: I've adopted many dogs, but started pet sitting for my much needed "fix" when my kids left the nest and couldn't help if i got another dog while I worked. I have dog sat at other people's house, at my house and do love senior dogs as much as young ones. I'm now retired and want to love on dogs. I just retired so i'm quite flexible. I love walking in general, and would enjoy the company of a pooch or 2. I'm good for just the day, overnight or extended needs. I always considered my own dogs as being family members. That said, they are allowed on the furniture. I have a small fenced back yard if your pooch doesn't want to walk in the rain or needs a late evening potty break. During the daytime, I like to walk a lot so your place or mine to give your dog's legs a stretch. I always have dogs on leash, no free running dogs are allowed in my development. I do belong to the Lower Makefield dog park if you are local and want to add me to your account to bring your dog there.

A kind caring sweet pleasant human being who loves dogs loves life lives in a fabulous place I could go on and on and on and on and say nothing but great things but that's what everyone does so you all get the point I am so glad we met. If you're going to an event at Snipes Farm this is who you want to use not the kennel at Snipes Farm it was so perfect I was going to a memorial with music at the farm and Anwar magically lived right next door I could not be happier with our experience

Kathleen watched my dog again for a 3-night stay, and just like last time, she was incredibly patient and attentive. My dog was very nervous and had a few accidents, along with some vomiting, but she handled everything with so much care and compassion. She stayed in constant communication with me—sending updates, letting me know what was happening, and explaining step-by-step what she was doing to help him feel comfortable and calm. Knowing she was on top of everything allowed me to enjoy my vacation without worrying. Kathleen truly goes above and beyond, especially with dogs who are anxious or sensitive. I’m so grateful for how she cared for him and kept me reassured throughout the stay. I absolutely recommend her, and I appreciate her more than she knows!

Just picked our dog up from another stay with Melissa and Dan and it’s so clear to us how well cared for and happy he is in their care. We received regular updates and photos throughout our stay which were so helpful. And we can tell he has a great relationship with their family and dogs. Highly recommend.

There are 3,481 sitters on Rover for Pet Boarding in Newtown. About 90% of Newtown sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
