“Lauren was awesome!! She took the lead on short notice, she was very good at giving me updates and sending me pictures. Her and her family were very nice and friendly.. I would definitely use her again in the future and I will definitely recommend her and Rover to anyone that asks me about watching their dogs!!”

“Phenomenal dog sitter. I boarded my two dogs with Jeffrey for Christmas week. He provided updates and pictures each day in a consistent and clear manner. He took great care of my dogs, and my dogs always have fun with Jeffrey's dog, Lily. I will continue to hire Jeffrey as my main dog sitter for as long as possible.”

“Albie had a great stay with Anwar! He looked happy and content in the photos Anwar sent while we were away, and he even came home with noticeably improved mealtime manners. We would definitely send Albie back to the “farm” again!”

“Kristen was an absolute gem to work with! She sent me pictures of my dog everyday and was very responsive. My dog had an excellent time and seemed to be taken care of very well!”

“I am so grateful to have found Samantha! My recently adopted dog, Brownie, has some anxiety around new people and in new places. Samantha went above and beyond to make sure he felt comfortable during his stay. Her apartment is so clean and cozy and truly a dog's paradise. Her dog, Cocoa, was so friendly and welcoming to Brownie. We got frequent updates during his stay and Samantha is super quick to respond. She is also very flexible around pick up and drop off. I truly cannot thank her enough for watching our sweet boy and making not only him but also our whole family feel comfortable while we are away by knowing that he is safe and happy!! Brownie didn't want to come home with me when I went to pick up because he was too busy playing with all the fun toys! He will be back soon! Thank you again, Samantha.”

“Rachel did a great job caring for our pup. She was flexible with timing, and helped Lulu adapt to her new surroundings. She also sent pictures and gave us regular updates during her stay. If you are looking for a pup sitter she’s a great choice.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Luba! From the very beginning, it was clear how caring, responsible, and attentive she is. Our dog - Leo felt comfortable and happy, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. We received regular updates, photos, and messages, and it was obvious our dog was well cared for and loved. We truly appreciate the dedication and kindness shown, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Luba to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter. We will definitely book again!”

“A great set up and very responsive! Marie cared for our (very an a very anxious and codependent )pup while we were away for a weekend and provided regular updates with pictures and videos. We will most definitely use her again!!”

“Jennifer took great care of my pup while my fiancée and I were out of town. She was super responsive, flexible, and sent pictures every day of my rather anxious little dude who was not at all anxious with Jennifer and Sacha. She's going to be my first call anytime we're out of town from now on and I feel very fortunate to have found her!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
