“Melissa and Dan were absolutely wonderful with my dog, Princess Leia. She’s a small terrier and very much a COVID puppy, so she hasn’t had a lot of exposure to other dogs. I was a bit nervous about leaving her while I went out of town for my 50th high school reunion, but Melissa and Dan put me at ease right away. From the start, my plan was to have Leia stay with them for two nights, and I couldn’t have chosen a better place. They have a lovely fenced yard and several dogs of their own, which created the perfect environment for Leia to safely and gradually get used to being around other dogs. Dan works from home, so I knew she was getting plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. They kept me updated with several photos and messages showing how Leia was doing, which I really appreciated. It was clear that she was settling in well and getting comfortable in their home and with their dogs. When I picked her up, she was happy, relaxed, and seemed to have genuinely enjoyed her little “vacation.” I highly recommend Melissa and Dan for dog sitting. They truly love dogs, understand dog behavior, and provide a safe, caring, and engaging environment. I would not hesitate to book with them again.”

She was careful to point out that her stairway was sometimes a challenge for dogs and that it was important to make sure Mousse would be ok navigating them... and she'd thought out where to place the crate in her apartment so it wasn't in the sun. She sent regular check ins and Mousse was clearly having a great time in all the pictures :) In addition, Rebecca was very flexible and understanding when we were stuck in traffic and needed to delay pick up by a few hours. About: I've worked with animals of all sizes since I was 12 years old. From volunteering on farms and ranches, to caring for small exotic animals and dogs of my own, I love animals of all sorts and enjoy just spending time with them whenever I can. I've spent the better part of my life involved with animals, I've pet sit for a number of families and have even worked on rehabilitating abandoned horses. I am very comfortable working with dogs that have disabilities as well as I have watched dogs that have diabetes, seizures, paralysis, and age related issues and despite the disabilities we still make the stay an enjoyable one. With me, dogs will get plenty of love, play time, and as many walks as they'd like! I currently hold a full time remote job so my flexibility is great for pet sitting! I can do morning, afternoon and/or evening walks, I can accept pet care in my home or travel. I have many options for accommodation. I reside in a safe private community townhome with plenty of walking paths and a fenced in yard. I do prefer to host at my home as it makes remote work easier due to my inability to transport my monitors but am open to house sitting upon request.

About: I have taken care of dogs for the last five years. I am reliable, dependable and love animals more than anything! They deserve to have just as much fun while their owners are away. Buddy gets 2 walks in the morning before I leave for work. I work about 15 minutes away from home. I use my lunch break to come home and walk Buddy from 1230-1p every day. Then I am home for the night by 430, which we then spend the night to go on a nice long walk after dinner. Fresh water bowls, fresh meals, treats (if owner approves), lots of fetch, chase around the house and dog snuggles. They will get at least 5 walks a day (rain or shine).

About: I've always been a dog lover! I've had a dog for almost 13 years and frequently dog sit for family members! I am also a daycare teacher and love getting to care for them and grow with them! As a daycare teacher, I quickly pick up on their schedules, allergies, different needs of each child, etc., which would easily translate into helping your furry friend. About: I have always grown up with dogs in my household since I was born and me and my mom have trained our dogs that we have now together. We also used to foster dogs and take care of them until they found their forever home! It is always important to me that dogs never feel alone or forgotten during the day so I would love to also take care of other dogs! Currently I am off for the summer and I am a student in my Masters program with flexibility so I can mostly take care of your fur babies whenever! In my home I currently have two dogs, the have a huge fenced in backyard that they can run around in and we have huge baskets of toys that they can play with as well!
