About: I have worked at animal shelter as the dog room manager for 4 years. Fostered and rehabilitated over a dozen dogs/cats. I love animals and creating meaningful connections with them. I am great at reading dog and cat body language and will always do my best to meet your pet’s personalized needs! I am a teacher who is off for the summer. I am incredibly flexible. During the school year I work part time and have a lot of availability as well. I am dedicated to maintaining the individualized schedule for every pet to ensure their care is as stress free as possible. About: I’ve been caring for animals for years and love getting to know each pet’s unique personality. I’ve fostered 8 cats and 1 dog to date, helping them adjust to new environments and getting them ready for their forever home. I also have two cats of my own and two family cats, so I understand the care, attention, and patience they need. I’m also the go to pet sitter for my friends whenever they’re away. I’m also a certified sitter through Southeastern Guide Dogs, where I’ve cared for and trained puppies and service dogs in training. This has really shown me how to work with dogs of all ages, personalities, and energy levels. I know every pet is unique and I really take the time to understand their needs and personality. I want to make sure your pet is comfortable and cared for, giving you peace of mind and lots of pictures while you’re away! I recently graduated, so I currently have a very flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate my time to caring for pets. Between pet sitting and other flexible work, my routine revolves around the pets I’m caring for, not the other way around. This means I have plenty of availability for drop-in visits, walks, overnight stays, and can easily adapt to your pet’s normal routine! As of right now, I am only able to provide care in my client’s home so pets can stay where they’re most comfortable, but also to ensure that my own cats, who are nervous around other pets, remain comfortable. When caring for your pet, I treat both your home and your baby with the same respect and attention I do my own. I carefully following feeding schedule, medication instructions, walking routines, and any other care preferences you provide. I understand that every pet has different needs, and I take the time to learn their personality, comfort level, and routine so they feel safe while you’re away. Safety really is my number one priority. I’ll make sure doors, gates, windows, and any other areas are secure. I’ll be sure to keep your pet in approved areas, look out for any changes in behavior or health, and send lots and lots of pictures and videos!

About: Since the age of 8 years old based on my personal experience of having 3 dogs in my family & always one call away from my friends to take care of their fur babies — I have always found it and honor and pleasure to do so! I understand that these babies are a priority and will never be treated less than. They deserve the world and I couldn’t imagine a life without them. When taking care of your fur baby I am committed to providing the utmost exceptional care and will communicate with the owner as much as they request to — so that they can feel secure that their baby is safe while they’re away. I a full time grad student currently looking for more job opportunities that align with my school schedule. On Tuesdays & Thursdays I am on campus starting at 4pm. One of my rules of thumb in life is respect. I do not take it lightly to be considered and hired to look after your fur baby. About: I have been a pet owner, foster mom, rescue volunteer, and assistance dog trainer for more than two decades. I am a teacher, mom of four grown children, with too much time on my hands and I need some furry friends! I also love to exercise and to walk every day. I am a quiet, introverted person, an avid walker and reader, holder of two masters degrees, and a person of high integrity. I can be trusted in your home. I have experience with very old and very young dogs and cats, with bottle-feeding, administering meds, eye-drops, and even administering subcutaneous fluids. I have puppy trained 7 golden retrievers/standard poodles to be assistance dogs for autistic children which means I took a six-week puppy training course with each pup. I am referred to by my friends and family as the Dog Whisperer. I believe in pet in-loco parentis - pet parent in your absence! I am a preschool teacher (leave my house at 8 and return home by 4.) I like to spend as much of my free time with furry friends. I have been fostering dogs and cats for decades and have a lot of experience sharing my home with other people’s pets. Again, I believe in pet in-loco parentis - pet parent in your absence! I have yet to find an animal I couldn't love. I care for my own pets as if they were my sons and daughters, much to my real children's annoyance!

About: I’ve had multiple pets in the house my whole life. We currently have three dogs (German shepherds and a Rottweiler) and three cats. I love caring for animals of all sizes and ages. I have a full time job but flexible hours. I enjoy spending time outside and going for walks in my free time and bringing furry friends along. Your pet’s safety is my top priority. I maintain a clean, pet-proofed space, provide constant supervision, follow all care instructions closely, and ensure a calm, secure, and loving environment.

About: I've been obsessed with animals since I was a kid. I especially love dogs, and I am fascinated by their complex social lives. I've worked with animals during every stage of my life. In college, I watched after a farm and worked at a kennel. In grad school, I looked after dogs, cats, chickens, and ducks. Since then, I've published a thesis project on conflicts between urban coyotes and domestic dogs. I worked for two years at a wolf sanctuary, and I'm currently looking for additional work to supplement my other forms of income. I understand dogs and cats from both evolutionary and behavioral perspectives. By now, research is unanimous that punishment creates anxiety and tense relationships between people and dogs. Positive reinforcement is effective and much more enjoyable for both dog and owner, so this is how I approach pet care. I love taking dogs on lengthy walks, and I'm happy to feed, walk, and house sit animals! I'm currently a professional writer. This is flexible work, so I can take on three to four walks a day. I am unavailable most weekends. When bringing a new animal to my home, I always introduce them to my dog, Mina, carefully. This means that I start with two people holding both animals on leashes. If the animals show no signs of aggression, I transition to a watch period. If this works, then I relax the rules a little. When I go to someone's house, I feel out the environment and take necessary precautions to keep all pets safe. I never assume that two strange animals will get along. My experience in the wildlife sanctuary world tells me that this can be very dangerous. Still, I am happy to carefully introduce my dog to yours if you think it might be a good fit. Playing animals burn far more energy than walking ones.
