“Keandra went above and beyond to make sure my dog had a good time. She also was very flexible with pickup/drop off times which was helpful since I had a flight early in the morning. She also gave my dog a free shower and made sure he got plenty of exercise and play time with her dogs. 100% would recommend Keandra”

“Thanks to Faith we have a spot for our baby when we cant take her with. She was very helpful and gave us some great tips on order spray and leashes. Thanks so much to faith. Our baby loved her tike at her home”

“Jocelyn did an absolutely amazing job taking care of our fur baby, Stetson, while we were out of town. It’s never easy leaving your dog behind, but she made the whole experience so much easier and stress-free. She kept us updated with tons of pictures and messages, which meant the world to us when we were really missing him. You can tell she genuinely cares and treats your pet like her own. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend Jocelyn to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and attentive to watch their pup!”

“Chelsey and her roommates did a great job taking care of Daisy! They played with her and took her on walks. I was nervous about Daisy being with another dog but by the next day they were best friends! I will deffiently be using Chelsey again when I need Daisy to go to a sitter. Chelsey sent me pictures and messages to let me know how it was going throughout the visit.”

“Justin was phenomenal! Highly recommend! He even gave my boy a bath! He was home with him almost always. Someone was always with my pup. Very communicative. Prompt. Sends photos and videos. My pup had a great time!”

“Peggy was great! She had to take in my dog to the vet LAST MINUTE ON CHRISTMAS EVE but didn’t complain so much as a minute. She was also able to get my dog into healthier habits and she lost those last couple pounds we were worried about! Absolutely amazing. 10/10 recommend.”

“Treated our Marshall like family. She was attentive to his needs and introduced him slowly to other pets. She Spent the first night cuddling him on the couch. Then he spent the remainder of his time cuddling with her in her bed. She sent so many updates, videos, and pictures. Marshall seemed to enjoy his time with Madison Alot. He even gave her a goodbye kiss 💗. Best experience ever!!! Definitely recommend Madison to anyone and we definitely will look to book her again in the future if needed.”

About: Finding the right sitter matters — especially when your dog needs more than just a walk and a bowl refill. That’s where I come in. I have over 15 years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. From energetic puppies to senior dogs and behaviorally challenging cases, I’ve cared for and handled dogs with a wide range of needs. My background includes extensive volunteer work at animal shelters, where I gained valuable experience reading canine body language, managing stress, and working safely with dogs that require extra patience and structure. In 2021, I earned my Certified Dog Trainer credential through Animal Behavior College, and I continue my education through Leerburg University, focusing on canine behavior, handling, and communication. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach — every dog is different, and I tailor my care to what helps your dog feel safe, calm, and confident. If you’ve been told your dog is “too difficult” or “too much” for most sitters, I encourage you to reach out. I have experience with reactive, anxious, high-drive, and medically complex dogs, including administering medications and injections when needed. My goal is not just to watch your dog, but to advocate for them while you’re away. For safety and individualized care, I only accept one family of dogs at a time. This allows me to focus fully on your dog’s routine, comfort, and well-being — no overcrowding, no chaos. I’d love to schedule a meet & greet so we can make sure it’s a great fit for everyone. You’ll leave knowing your dog is in capable, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring hands. Thanks for stopping by my profile — I look forward to meeting you and your best friend soon. I'm hoping to make canine boarding/training my new job. I still work full time in a hybrid remote role. I will only accept boarding reservations where I know I will be home. I prefer to exercise dogs by walking them, but will do anything to keep your friends on their own routine. Anything you can share with me about your dogs preferred routine will help me keep their schedule as normal as possible.
“Marley was a little nervous for the first night and had an upset stomach but Amber promptly told me and it was all taken care of and she enjoyed the rest of the weekend.”

“Fantastic! Brittany was amazing. She sent pics and videos and kept me updated throughout the entire trip. My dog really seemed to enjoy his time with her as well. Highly recommend, plan on working with her again in the future!”

“I am so thankful we found Rachelle! Our dog has some anxiety & is not always comfortable in new situations or places. Rachelle worked hard to put him at ease & make him comfortable his entire stay. We received daily updates & photos, which I so appreciated! I would definitely recommend Rachelle & we will be booking with her again!”

“Amanda always does such a great job at watching our cockapoo! It has been the only place that dog sits that Briggs doesn’t come home with pottying problems afterwards. Her and her kids take such good care of him and are also very flexible with drop off and pickup! We are very pleased and thankful for her!”

“This was an amazing experience for my dog Pluto! He had so much fun and Julianne was so great with him. Her dog Luxe is the sweetest and I got so many updates of them playing and having a great time!”

“Rae & David are wonderful people. After three stays, it feels like I’m leaving Lily with family. Lily acts like she’s home too, very comfortable & can’t wait to get inside. Very caring, knowledgeable and professional. Rae sends daily photos & videos. Winston is a great big brother and provides the fun doggie companionship. He’s very gentle with the littles too. I may have to book a play date because she misses Winston. They truly love caring for their guests. A blessing for all owners & their dogs, especially nervous dogs & dogs that don’t do well in stressful boarding facilities. The Best!!!”

“Brian and Deb always take great care of Luna when we’re out of town. They’re our first choice and we’ll continue to book with them as long as they’ll have us! I’d highly recommend them. Luna loves their place, their back yard, and playing with the other dogs. It’s comforting to know she is well taken care of and nicely entertained while we’re away.”

“I couldn't be happier with the care Luna received! Chris and Erika were attentive, loving, and kept me updated with photos. Luna came home happy and healthy! Highly recommend!”

“Great Experience, very accommodating and very flexible. i had to drop my dog after the long drive (16 hours) and he was definitely hyper but Tricia took great care of him. with all treats and great walk and some good catch fames.. will defiantly book again”

About: I’ve always had dogs growing up, I will treat your pet like family. I love dogs and want to help others find reliable care for their dogs. I work full time, however my hours and days are very flexible so I will have plenty of time to spoil your pets during the day, or overnight. I have a fenced in yard, I have one dog of my own who is the sweetest. I have space in my house to separate if needed for nap times, and plenty of toys and treats. They would be allowed on furniture as they would be treated like family.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in IL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
