About: I retired from teaching 4 years ago and have been caring for pets in their homes, cleaning litter boxes and taking dogs out for exercise during that time. I have personally owned 2 large dogs well into their senior years. I have had cats my entire life and still have one. I typically take care of cats and dogs when their owners are away; feeding, administering pills, cleaning litter boxes, exercising/playing with dogs, and playing/cuddling with cats. I believe these visits have been the most rewarding activities of my life. As a retired teacher, I am flexible to care for pets any day of the week. I am also willing to stay overnight in your home and be your pet’s companion. I still have a cat of my own on whom I like to check at some point each day if staying nights at another pet owner’s home. Sometimes the owners I serve are away for 7-15 days at a time. I will send daily updates and pictures as well during your absence. I have been providing care for pets in the owners’ homes. I therefore water and feed the cats and dogs and administer pills, if needed. I clean litter boxes and tidy up, making sure pet hair, etc. is cleaned up. I get the mail and take out trash. I play/cuddle with the cats and exercise/play/cuddle with the dogs. I love to walk so I never get enough of walking dogs. I take extra precautions if dogs are anxious when I have to leave for a while, i.e., leave music or TV playing or do something special with the dogs before I leave. The dogs usually sleep in the bed with me and we become great friends.

If allowed in your home, i leave the bedroom door (of the room I am sleeping in) open so they can crawl up in bed with me or just know that I am there. About: Caring for animals is second nature to me, I first began when I was 8 years old, helping my church members at their farms, which turned into me helping my babysitter with pet sitting when she would watch me. When I get home from work I let my girls back outside, check to make sure none of my stuffed animals have been shredded by the younger baby, feed them a small dinner, and I start getting them ready for bed, at 9pm they get in their beds have a snack, watch TV with me and go to sleep. When I am pet sitting for friends, family, & neighbors I feed and walk their pets at the provided scheduled time and I also make a point to spend at least 5-10 minutes playing with them and getting them some interaction for the day, as I’m sure they miss their family. My goal is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of fur babies, reptile friends, farm family members, and bird companions when their primary family needs someone to care for them.
