About: I retired from teaching 4 years ago and have been caring for pets in their homes, cleaning litter boxes and taking dogs out for exercise during that time. I have personally owned 2 large dogs well into their senior years. I have had cats my entire life and still have one. I typically take care of cats and dogs when their owners are away; feeding, administering pills, cleaning litter boxes, exercising/playing with dogs, and playing/cuddling with cats. I believe these visits have been the most rewarding activities of my life. As a retired teacher, I am flexible to care for pets any day of the week. I am also willing to stay overnight in your home and be your pet’s companion. I still have a cat of my own on whom I like to check at some point each day if staying nights at another pet owner’s home. Sometimes the owners I serve are away for 7-15 days at a time. I will send daily updates and pictures as well during your absence. I have been providing care for pets in the owners’ homes. I therefore water and feed the cats and dogs and administer pills, if needed. I clean litter boxes and tidy up, making sure pet hair, etc. is cleaned up. I get the mail and take out trash. I play/cuddle with the cats and exercise/play/cuddle with the dogs. I love to walk so I never get enough of walking dogs. I take extra precautions if dogs are anxious when I have to leave for a while, i.e., leave music or TV playing or do something special with the dogs before I leave. The dogs usually sleep in the bed with me and we become great friends.

“So so wonderful to find Tricia and not have to worry about Shelby so we could enjoy a few days away! She was attentive, prompt, responsive, and the whole package. We will be using her again!”

About: I've taken care of dogs/pets my whole life, my passion only grew larger for them as I grew older. They are truly the heart of the world and they give us the motivation to keep pushing forward. Not only do I have personal experience caring and medicating animals, but I also have experience dealing with aggressive dogs as well as previous experience working in a kennel/doggy-daycare where I cared for, walked, and medicating cats and dogs in my daily routine. I am also going to NC State currently, going to be a junior in the fall, majoring in animal science which has provided me with so much knowledge on animals and how to best care for them, ranging many species but specializing in companion animals. I'm currently out of college for summer break so I have plenty of time to spend with your furry family members and make sure they get the best experience possible while you're away. Personally, I have 2 cats and share 2 more and a dog with a disability with my mom so for me, pet care is a normal daily routine and therefore other forms of pet care are no hassle to add on and I'd love to help out and make sure you and your pet are getting what's best for the both of you! Having companion animals of my own, I know how worrisome it can become when you leave your door open to a stranger, especially with your furry friend's life at hand. Just know I would never treat an animal, person, or home with any type of disrespect nor would I ever imagine doing so. I treat others' things as my own and I'd say I keep things pretty organized and clean. Also, it is important to know that I am not only an animal enthusiast but I am also an animal welfare enthusiast and would do anything in my power to keep your furry friend safe under my watch.
“Dinira is always so great with my older Chihuahua mix. She is patient and gentle with him. She goes the extra mile to let me know if he is acting like he doesn’t feel good and cleans up after him if she finds a mess in the house when she arrives.”
“Kyleigh is the best. She is flexible- our family appreciates because our schedules are crazy but she’s willing to make it work where she can. I trust her completely in my home and with my dog and cat. She is someone you can trust, count on, and will be exceptionally kind and loving with your pets. I would t hesitate to recommend Kyleigh.”

About: Let me begin by saying I LOVE animals. My family and I have always had dogs and cats ever since I was a child. I have experience in house sitting and caring for multiple dogs at a time, as well as administering medication. As an owner of a 7 year old German Shepherd named Oliver, and his younger siblings that are 4 year old German Shepherd/Husky mixes named Mango and Wylie, I completely understand the hesitancy in trusting a stranger to care for your fur babies. I love every dog like they are my own. I also have experience in taking care of cats and cats that are elderly. I had the opportunity to take ownership of a 20 year old cat, and I got to love and care for her for the last two years of her life. I am currently in between jobs and working towards a certification online. Which means, my availability to care for your pet is very flexible and will be able to give your pet the attention they need. For potential clients: I will be out of town from August 15th 2025- August 24th 2025. I will not be able to respond to any requests during that time. But will respond promptly after said dates. I care for your pets with the utmost love, care and flexibility. If there are routines/rules in place, I will abide by them strictly, as I understand that sometimes diverting from those routines can be traumatic for your dog. Routines includes meal times, treats, walks, being let out to use the bathroom and playtime. If you are looking for photo updates as well, I’m more than happy to send those over.

“Abby was so great with our Ella. She arrived on time and took great care in remembering all the nuanced instructions we had. Ella enjoyed a great walk and we were happy to know she was taken care of while we were away. 🐶❤️”

“Had to find a sitter at the last minute because my other one cancelled on me thee night before I was going to be leaving out of town. I was honestly freaking out because I did not think I would be able to find one with so little time left. But Zahara immediately responded and agreed to care of Ollie during those days. She was very sweet and even brought my mail inside for me and left it on the counter. I will be recommending her to all of my family and friends. I will be rebooking with her in the future. Thank you”

I have four of my own that I have trained and work with daily, as well as a new puppy that I’m training to be my service dog! I would love to give your pet the opportunity to have nice walks around your neighborhood, with a dog lover who will give them the attention that they deserve! I will give them the personal touch that makes a long lasting dog walker. If you are having trouble with loose leash walking, I can do some simple exercises to better your dogs quality of life. I hope to work with you in the future, as I would love to meet and work with all the dogs I can! I spend a lot of my days with my service dog in training while I’m in the middle of finishing online school, and would love to help out your dogs as well! About: I’ve taken care of so many different kinds of dogs since I was a little girl, from helping with breeding, nursing baby puppies back to health, potty training, growing up, and also as they grew old. Small dogs, medium dogs, large dogs, they all have been a part of my life of which I have enjoyed. Sadly, seizures and surgeries with daily medications have also been a part of the care I have given. I LOVE animals and love on any of those in my care like they are my own. I’m off work in the summers and can board all days of the week. When I go back to work, I can still board dogs all days of the week, but would just be away from home during my working hours. I have a fenced in backyard and two friendly dogs that will keep your pup comfortable while you are away. I also have two crates that can be used unless you prefer to bring your own. Dog beds, blankets, and dog water are available at all times.
About: Experienced in providing attentive, compassionate care for small and large breed dogs and cats, including high energy dogs and puppies. Skilled in structured walks, play, basic puppy training and reinforcement, feeding routines, administering medications as directed, and monitoring behavior and health needs. Committed to maintaining a safe, engaging environment that supports positive behavior, confidence, and overall well-being. I’m a nurse currently between jobs with open availability and lots of time to dedicate. I love being outdoors and staying active, which makes me a great fit for walks, playtime, and high-energy pets. I’m reliable, attentive, and enjoy giving animals the time and care they deserve. I keep pets engaged in a client’s home by sticking to their routine while adding plenty of play, walks, enrichment activities, and positive attention. I focus on mental stimulation and exercise so pets feel comfortable, entertained, and relaxed while their owners are away.
