About: I retired from teaching 5 years ago and have been caring for pets in their homes, cleaning litter boxes and taking dogs out for exercise during that time. I have personally owned 2 large dogs well into their senior years. I have had cats my entire life and still have one. I will send daily updates and pictures as well during your absence. I have been providing care for pets in the owners’ homes. I therefore water and feed the cats and dogs and administer pills, if needed. I clean litter boxes and tidy up, making sure pet hair, etc. is cleaned up. I get the mail and take out trash. I play/cuddle with the cats and exercise/play/cuddle with the dogs. I love to walk so I never get enough of walking dogs. I take extra precautions if dogs are anxious when I have to leave for a while, i.e., leave music or TV playing or do something special with the dogs before I leave. The dogs usually sleep in the bed with me and we become great friends.

About: I’ve always grown up with animals in the home, a home isn’t a home unless you here the pitter patter of those paws of the floor. Dogs are at the heart of my being and unfortunately you can only have so many. But the best way I’ve found to experience the love of all kind of dogs are through the caring for of everyone else’s four legged friend. I’ve always watched and cared for others animals off and on as a side income and personal enjoyment; giving all the love and attention they need while their human is away. All the way back when I was in high school, many years ago, I discovered the love and care for others dogs when I worked for the groomers and it’s never stopped since. My sweet Winter departed in 2020 after 13 long and steady years by my side and while I haven’t yet been ready to give my full heart away I’ve found great healing, giving lots of love, walks, baths, ball games, and lots of snuggs, All welcomed with love. After 10 years working in the field of Art Education and Public Art Coordination I decided to take the leap and start my business, Swift & Dapper LLC.
