About: I've always had a deep love and soft spot for animals, especially those in need. One of my most meaningful experiences was taking in a pregnant shelter rescue. She gave birth to 13 puppies, and I cared for her and each of the pups until I was able to rehome them with loving families. I continued to care for the mother until she passed, and that experience strengthened my passion for helping rescue animals. Over the years, I've helped care for and rehome multiple rescue dogs, giving them a second chance at a happy life. My goal after retirement is to open a rescue on my own land so I can continue making a difference in the lives of as many fur babies as possible. I’m patient, nurturing, and treat every animal like family—whether they’re energetic puppies, shy rescues, or senior companions needing extra TLC. After becoming an empty nester, I made the big move to Hawaii for a fresh start. As much as I’d love to have a pet of my own, I’m currently renting and unable to. That’s why I’ve decided to help others care for their pets—it fills the space in my heart and home that only animals can. Caring for pets gives me a sense of purpose and joy. About: I used to have a dog who lived to be 15, been watching dogs and cats since I was 13, and even helped administer medicine to a few animals that have been in my care both orally and by shot. I’ve also brought pets to their appointments. Baths are no problem! I currently do not work. I am a full time college student, meaning besides certain hours of class some days I am free for your convenience! I like to talk to the owners to see what the rules are on the pet, to know if they have have things like medicine need, have to be watched when eating, if their not good with other animals, etc.

Our Mittens was a bit shy during our time with Avery. Even so, Ms Avery was kind enough to send us beautiful picture of herself and her husband. Mittens came out to play one day and looked happy and comfortable with Avery. It didn’t sound like there were any issues at all so that’s great! Thank you Avery and Mr Avery!
