“Leonard was great! Kept my 3 cats alive and well! Gave me great peace of mind knowing they were well cared for when I went back to the mainland to deal with my mom's care.”

“So so so nice! She was super quick to respond and came in clutch when someone else canceled. She communicated a lot and went above and beyond to make sure my pup was taken care of! I would definitely book with her again!”

“Kristina took great care of our dog while we were on a short trip! She sent detailed updates and pictures from each visit. I would recommend Kristina for your pet-sitting needs!”

“We have a senior cat, and decided it would be best for her to stay at home and get a daily visit. Meagan did a great job with our cat, she communicated well with us and sent pictures daily. This gave me peace of mind while I was away. I will definitely use her services whenever I travel.”

“A big Thank you to Ariel. She is not only patient but knowledgeable and responsible. She did a great job taking care of Astro and taught both him and I that walking doesn’t have to be such a chore. If i’m out of town I refuse to book with anyone else if she’s available.”
About: Started young - I fostered a puppy in high school and pet sit for friends’ and families’ dogs. They’d rely on me to walk, feed, and be the best companion to their pets. As a cat mom, I know how it feels to not be there with your furry friend while you’re out of town or at work. I will be there to make sure your fur baby is well taken care of in those moments! I have a flexible schedule so I can help keep your pup company! Walking, at home visits for feeding/playing/bathroom breaks - Morning to afternoon is my biggest gap of availability. I am mindful when opening and closing doors, crating your doggie securely (if that’s their routine), being attentive while their playing to make sure they aren’t ingesting anything that isn’t their kibble, and most importantly reporting back to you if I notice anything unusual with your fur baby.
“We've worked with Rebecca several times and she's always taken such good care of our pets. She cared for our dog for the first time today and he was so happy to see her! She's very reliable and we always feel good knowing she's taking care of our pets.”

“Naomi is the best kitty sitter. When Naomi first sat for my kitty, he was skidish, but after her first time with Remmy he was much calmer. When she came to visit just before I left, my kitty RAN to her. We were both shocked! He was very happy when I got home. Happy adventures Naomi.”

“We had a great experience with our pet sitter, Caroline! Communication was excellent throughout the entire time, and she went above and beyond the basic responsibilities to make sure everything was taken care of. Even on days when the cats stayed hidden, she still provided thoughtful and detailed updates, which gave us real peace of mind. We would absolutely recommend her to others and will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Kenzie did drop in visits and walks while I was away. She is very knowledgeable, conscientious, and professional that I felt assured about the care of my pups. Highly recommend Kenzie to watch after your pups. Thank you Kenzie!”

About: Hello, my name is Rebecca. I have over 10 years experience pet sitting for friends and family and have had pets since I was nine. I love walking dogs and am happy taking care of senior and special needs animals! I am also comfortable taking care of cats, birds, and fish! I love making new pet buddies, and want to ensure they are as happy as can be. I am patient and experienced in how to interact with pets that may be a bit timid, or shy with new individuals. Pets are great companions and I look forward to meeting many new buddies! The safety of your pets will be my highest priority! Looking forward to meeting you! I have a flexible schedule and will be able to care for your pet as much as is required or preferred! I have lots of energy and availability. I have a fenced in yard, one dog and one cat. As long as your pet is friendly with others and is crate trained, having them stay in our home will be a treat!
“Kara saved my bacon as I needed someone last minute to watch my dog, Finn, while I was house sitting for my parents. I work about 45 minutes away from their house so he would have been alone for 12 hours as his doggie daycare was full. Kara was extremely responsive and helped guide me through the process of how to use rover (as it was my first time). All responses were probably within 15 minutes of my messages so I felt good about the booking. She stopped by twice during the day to let him out into the yard for some potty and play and from the many photos that she sent he seemed to absolutely love having her there with him! She followed all of my instructions perfectly and had no problem figuring out what to do while I was at work which helped take some of the stress off of me. My only complaint is that she doesn’t live closer to my own house so that I could book her as an ongoing client because it worked out so well! If you value peace of mind and knowing your dog is being taken care of the way you hope then you should look no further and book Kara to take care of your furry friend.”

About: What sets me apart is that I truly love animals and have over four years of experience caring for pets. I’m responsible, patient, and make sure every pet feels safe and comfortable. I also have experience with puppies, including basic training, feeding, walking, and giving them lots of attention and care. I am a military spouse therefore I do have BASE access! Pet care fits well into my routine, but it depends on my part-time work schedule. I usually have plenty of free time before or after work and on my days off. I’m flexible and do my best to work around your pet’s needs, whether that means feeding, walks, playtime, or check-ins throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable and safe. This includes feeding them on schedule, giving them fresh water, taking dogs on walks, cleaning litter boxes, and spending time playing with and giving them attention. I also keep the home clean and make sure the pets are always supervised and cared for. I treat every pet like my own and do my best to make them feel loved while their owners are away.
“Ciara is absolutely amazing! She is so caring and patient, especially with my timid puppy. She took the time to make him feel comfortable and truly helped bring him out of his shell. Throughout my trip, she sent photos and detailed updates about their time together, which gave me so much peace of mind—especially since it was my first time being away from him and he’s still so young. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend her services.”

“Colby is fantastic with our Lab and Lab puppy. They are so excited to see her. She is very reliable, responsive and has a great personality. Colby always sends me pictures and updates. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve raised my pup from 6 weeks until 3 years old. I LOVE dogs, especially pittys. I plan to get a dog in a couple of years so I would be so happy to help take care of your fur baby until I can get my own. I am working full-time and this is my typical schedule: I am out of the house Monday’s & Wednesday’s from 6am-1:30pm, Tuesday’s from 6am-5pm, and Thursday’s from 6am-3:30pm. I am available in the evenings and all day Friday until Sunday. I have a big house and a yard and currently do not have any pets in my home. My house is smoke free and child free. I am happy to provide pictures and videos throughout the time I have them; whatever will make you feel comfortable! When I’m home, your pup(s) will be with me the entire time. If I leave the house for whatever reason, I prefer to keep them in their kennels to keep both them and my house safe.

About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs of various ages, genders, and life stages for friends and family. I have experience taking care of senior pets in critical condition and have handled emergency situations with urgency and care. I take animals’ wellbeing very seriously and I love taking care of them. I am currently unemployed and take online college classes so I have lots of free time! My only obligation is driving my partner to/from work but it’s easy to work around that! My cats are strictly indoor only and I play with them everyday to ensure they are getting good exercise and entertainment. A pet’s safety is my number one priority, they will not be left unsupervised or unleashed outside of the household while they are under my care.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Pearl City
I had The greatest Rover experience ever with Rebecca and the quality of care she showed for my 4 kitties! I had never left my kitties before so I was very nervous about the whole process but Rebecca made sure my kitties were all loved, taken care of, and most of all I felt so relaxed on my vacation knowing my cats were all in the best hands! I even have a very shy timid kitty that never comes out when people are over and by the 4th day she was out of hiding and accepting pets! 100% will be using Rebecca again for all my pet sitting needs! Thank you from the bottom of my heart Rebecca for loving my babies as much as I do!

Our cats loved Avery! She made fast friends with our shyest cat who usually hides. Avery came over the week before our trip to meet the cats and learn their routine. She took lots of photos and kept us updated so we trusted that our pets were well cared for. We would absolutely book Avery again 😺

I’ve booked Megan multiple times for longer trips and couldn’t recommend her more. She’s incredibly attentive, detail-oriented, and always quick to respond. She did an amazing job caring for my cats, including managing their medical needs, and I always felt confident they were in great hands. I truly trust her with my fur babies and am so grateful for the care she provides.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pearl City. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
