About: I’ve raised my pup from 6 weeks until 3 years old. I LOVE dogs, especially pittys. I plan to get a dog in a couple of years so I would be so happy to help take care of your fur baby until I can get my own. I am working full-time and this is my typical schedule: I am out of the house Monday’s & Wednesday’s from 6am-1:30pm, Tuesday’s from 6am-5pm, and Thursday’s from 6am-3:30pm. I am available in the evenings and all day Friday until Sunday. I have a big house and a yard and currently do not have any pets in my home. My house is smoke free and child free. I am happy to provide pictures and videos throughout the time I have them; whatever will make you feel comfortable! When I’m home, your pup(s) will be with me the entire time. About: I've always had a big heart for all animals. Growing up, we weren't allowed to have any pets larger than a rabbit- so I worked with that. We had fish, turtles, a lizard, chinchilla, but always begged for more. On my 12th birthday was when my sister and I were finally granted a miracle- our mother was allowing for us to adopt a set of kittens. From there, our furry family grew. We now have another cat and two dogs! When working to prove our responsibility, my sister and I took it upon ourselves to become our neighborhoods pet sitter and walker. In school, I had won an award for dedicating most community service hours where I volunteered to help at my local animal shelter. After high school I moved a lot for school and work, so had to leave behind my furry family behind at my familys home. Today in NC I have a small pup and rescued stray cat. I’m available most days if you need your pets to be simply fed, let out to pee, or to be entertained. While I take same day requests, there are no guarantees because I have several regularly scheduled walks and drop ins. Please reply promptly, I archive when no response in 24 hours. I have a fenced yard and a young corgi who has full run of the house. He can be shy to other dogs. If your dog has any aggressive tendencies or Keahi does not get along with them for whatever reason, we cannot board your dog. Meet and greets are mandatory before any boarding or daycare. Dogs must be house trained for boarding or daycare (paper trained is not house trained). I cannot and will not leave food out. If your dog has issues eating when they are fed (I feed them when I feed my dog), I have to take your dog’s food away and store it. This is a house, not a kennel where your dog has an assigned lot. If your dog has these feeding issues, consider another sitter. I have no kids on property.

She tried to send picks throughout the day but wasn’t as familiar with the day care settings so I didn’t get them until later. I don’t blame her for that though because Rover is not a very good app tbh haha. But I think she learned how to do it so I’m sure if she did it now she wouldn’t have a problem. Some of the pictures she took were really good, too. My feeding instructions don’t seem too difficult to me but lots of people who watch my pup don’t seem to get it right. About: (I will be moving off island to the Virginia/Maryland area in August 2026.) I've had dogs my whole life and it didn't matter where the military took me, I would keep them with me. I had my previous dog for 14 years and 5 moves, he was a well traveled dog that lived a long life. I now have 2 pups, a 2 year old corgi, and a 1 year old jack russell. They keep each other company and they like to run around the back yard thats fenced in, wrestle, and play with other dogs similar to their size. I've watched friends dogs in the past, provided eye drops and medication for them. I plan on opening up my own dog boarding business when I retire from the military. I know the struggle of finding someone who can take care of pets on island and I would like to help alleviate some stress from pet owners. Recently the pups and I took a break on Rover from Nov 2025-March 2026. I fostered a mamma pup and her 7, puppies until they were all adopted out. I now have three dogs of my own because I adopted the mamma and her name is Ipo. I'm now experienced in puppies that are still nursing and everything that goes along with puppies from when their eyes are still closed until they are all grown enough to be adopted out. It was such an eye opening experience and I loved it. Which ever pet I take care of will be treated like one of my dogs. I come home for lunch everyday so the dogs go out in the morning, hang out in the house during the day. Five hours after I leave, I come home for lunch and let them out. Then another five hours go by and I come home at the end of the day and let them out again, and they run around the back yard. In my home, the dogs are safe and the back yard is fenced in. They are allowed on the couch and they can just hang out. In a clients home, I will respect the wishes of the client and do what is asked of me.

Before our trip, she took the time to meet with us and show us where our puppy would be staying in her home, which made us feel so much more comfortable and confident. While we were away for nearly two weeks, Samantha kept us updated with frequent messages and adorable photos. It meant so much to know our puppy was happy, safe, and well cared for while we were gone. What impressed us even more was that she actually helped reinforce our puppy's potty training during our time away. We came home to a puppy who had continued making progress, which was such a pleasant surprise! Samantha is truly a sweetheart, and it's obvious that she has a genuine love for animals and a heart for what she does. The care, attention, and affection she showed our puppy exceeded all of our expectations. We are so grateful we came across Samantha and couldn't recommend her more highly.
