“I booked Kimberly for two drop in visits while we were away for a night. She took the time to meet our dog prior to booking day, very friendly. I appreciated the picture/video updates! Will book again!”

“Desiree completed multiple drop-in visits (2x daily) during a week-long vacation for my two senior cats. Mr. Twix is diabetic and requires insulin injections twice a day. Desiree was happy to stop over ahead of the trip to go over insulin and daily routines. I asked for photo updates and Desiree was happy to share! She graciously cleaned one poo mess and even helped reset the fuse box when the cat fountain stopped working. Twix and Butters were calm and happy when I arrived home. I felt comfortable on my trip knowing the kids were getting love in my absence!”

“Lindsey and her girls did an amazing job taking care of our dog, Koda. They gave him lots of snuggles and love while we were gone. They even left us some cute artwork with a nice note. We will definitely book drop in visits with them again in the future”

“I'm so grateful to have met Katharine. She took great care of our dogs, and her attention to detail is fantastic. I am glad to have a trustworthy, competent person caring for our pets in our home. She will be our "go-to" for all of our pet-sitting needs! Highly recommend.”

About: I have had both cats and dogs for as long as I can remember! I have had both through all stages of their lives, puppy/kitten - senior. I also have experience with administering medications. I am a college student who misses my own pets, and I would love to help care for yours so they do not get lonely! I am currently a college student and I do not have another job at the moment. This semester I am in class from 12pm-3pm M/W/F, and 8am-1:30pm on T/Th. Outside of that, I am a student leader so I have meetings on Monday’s from 3:30-5pm and events on some Friday's. However, I make sure to find time on my lunch breaks and before and after class to make sure pups can get outside and get a little love in between the times I have to be away. At my home, I have a fenced in yard for my dog, who is generally very well behaved, but I do not leave him unattended for long. He loves to wrestle and be brushed, so we do that often. He gets food once daily, per vet recommendations. In the past when I have had cats, they loved to cuddle and were pretty lazy. I cleaned out their litter box’s every 1-2 days, and they were grazers so I kept their food and water full daily.
“Ashley is awesome! My husband and I are very thankful for her coming over and checking on our fur babies. Thank you for helping us with the transition and being there for our babies. 😁”

“Amy is so sweet and attentive to our precious kitten. We feel so much better knowing she is there giving him plenty of love in our absence. She also is so great with grabbing packages, letting us know about household things and is so dependable. Highly recommend!”

“Kathy is fantastic. Not only is she great with my dogs, she was extremely thoughtful of me too. Knowing I was post surgery, she offered to bring me coffee or anything -helping anyway she could to make my recovery easier. It was a big stress relief knowing I could count on her to help with my dogs and understand that if she burned up some of their energy, that they would then rest until my husband came home. My dogs and I love her!”

About: Hi everyone, My names Ellana! Im currently 20 years old and absolutely adore animals! I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 7 years old and currently have a frenchie of my own back in MN! Being away from home can be tough at times but spending time with animals is really an escape for me. I love all dogs from big to small, I do have a little bias for all breeds of bulldogs though, they are my fav! I am currently looking into going into canine physical therapy as a full time role for my future:) I’d love to help out as needed so please send me a message! I am a very active student so I love being able to give dogs the time outside that they need. That being said I am always willing to stay in for some cuddles. I have weekends off from all class and job requirements so I like to fill those times with some furry friends! I have my own room and plenty of space and capacity to take dogs on adventures via car or walk! I love spoiling pups when they are with me.
“Huge thank you to Emily for coming on such short notice. She took wonderful care of my cats and was on it with communication. I will definitely be booking with her again when the time comes.”

About: I’ve had either a family pet or a pet of my own for 10+ years now. I’ve pet sit for multiple friends, neighbors, and family. I’m comfortable walking, feeding, playing, bathing, administering medication, etc! I currently work from home 5 days a week so I have a very flexible schedule. I’m able to stop by anytime of day, any day of the week! Koda and I are huge walkers so adding your dog to the pack, would be a joy! Please let me know if you prefer your dog to be walked alone and I can leave Koda at home. Having a dog myself, I understand how hard it is to leave your baby with a stranger. I am a double or triple checker when it comes to my dogs health and well being. I will care for your dog as if he/she was my own. Please leave detailed instructions if there is something specific needed and I will follow those.

My goal is for both you and your pets to have complete peace of mind! I’m also comfortable caring for pets with different energy levels, including senior pets and pets with special routines or medication needs. About: As a lifelong dog lover, I've shared my home with furry companions for over twenty years. Growing up with rescue dogs taught me patience and how every dog has their own story, while my current yellow lab keeps me active and reminds me daily of the joy that comes from a dog's unconditional love. I understand how much pets mean to their families and the importance of maintaining their comfort when you're away. From energetic pups who need lots of exercise to gentle seniors who prefer quiet companionship, I approach each dog with genuine affection and the same care I give my own. You can trust that your beloved companion will be treated like family. I'm available to pet sit from Friday through Monday and would love to help care for your pet during this time. I work from home on both Fridays and Mondays, so I'll be around throughout those days to provide plenty of attention, companionship, and care. This means your pet won't be left alone for extended periods on those days. Over the weekend (Saturday and Sunday), I'm also fully available to maintain their regular routine, take them for walks, provide meals on schedule, and give them all the love and attention they need. I’m also available Tuesdays - Thursday before 8am & after 4:30pm I'd be happy to discuss your pet's specific needs, routine, and any special care instructions. Please let me know if you'd like to set up a time to meet beforehand so your pet can get comfortable with me. I’ll visit the house at scheduled times to let the dog outside for bathroom breaks and provide meals according to the feeding schedule. If the dog needs exercise beyond the yard time, I’ll take them for a walk around the neighborhood. Each visit lasting 30 minutes, focusing on the dog's immediate needs - relieving themselves, eating, and getting a bit of attention. I’ll secure the house when leaving and may send an update about how the dog is doing

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Waconia
Kayden was fantastic! She was reliable, communicative, and took such great care of Jax while we were away. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing he was getting lots of love and attention, and she always made sure he was doing well. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with Kayden again. Highly recommend!

Truly a wonderful experience! I was out of town for a wedding, and had to leave my anxious pup alone for the first time. Gabrielle made the process so easy - and made sure to keep me updated and took good care her! She kept up with her meds, and paid close attention to other dogs while out on walks. Will be booking again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
