“Sylas is an excellent pet sitter! He's absolutely set to be on my rotation, my little fur babies were treated well and enjoyed his presence from the first minute onward. Spectacular service, will be a returning customer!!”

“Aliyah was absolutely wonderful. Artemis is a very shy, timid cat. She doesn’t trust very many people and hid for the first few days I was away. After that, she quickly warmed up to Aliyah. Aliyah made sure she had everything she needed. She was attentive, timely, and even vacuumed around the litter box and washed the food bowls as needed. She was incredibly respectful, always taking her shoes off while in the home and communicating proactively. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust to look after their furry friends.”

“Amy was fantastic and as we all know how difficult it can be to find someone to care for our little family members. I would certainly recommend Amy and will be using her services again in the future.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life. Growing up, our home was always filled with dogs, cats, and all kinds of pets, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. Over the years, I’ve become the person friends and family trust to care for their pets while they’re away. I also previously worked as a dog trainer in California, where I gained valuable experience understanding dog behavior and working with dogs of different personalities and needs. While I’m no longer training professionally, that experience continues to help me provide patient, attentive care. I currently have two dogs of my own, so I understand how important it is to leave your pets with someone you trust. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply having someone keep them company, I’ll treat them with the same love, patience, and respect I give my own. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and excellent availability for drop-in visits and dog walks. Whether your pet needs a midday potty break, exercise, feeding, or a little extra love and attention while you’re away, I’m happy to help. I know how important it is to feel confident that your pet is in good hands. I’ll carefully follow your pet’s routine and any special instructions to help them feel safe, comfortable, and happy. My goal is to build trust with both you and your pet by providing dependable, compassionate care. I’ll also send regular updates and photos during visits so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
“Kylee is absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond while taking care of our kitty, Jinxy, I couldn’t be more grateful. From daily updates with adorable photos to making sure everything was perfectly clean and cozy, she treated my cat like her own. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing my fur baby was in such loving, capable hands. Highly recommend Kylee to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and attentive sitter!”

About: We love animals and take excellent care of them! We've fostered pets and have three of our own. I work from home and your pet won't be left alone all day. I'm currently working fully remote so I'll have plenty of time to take care of your pets! I'm available for boarding throughout the week and weekends. I have a small fenced yard and a lot of grass around my home for your pet to play. I love to go for walks throughout the day and to nearby parks. I have two dogs and a cat that are really friendly and playful.
“Mel was wonderful with our pets. She visited them twice a day as planned and shared pictures and an update with every visit. We are looking forward to having her care for our little guys the next time we are out of town.”

“Very happy with Grace and Lance. They were able to come play with our dog with very little notice and flexible with a willing attitude. Even noticed the water needed filling and took care of that!”

About: Hi! I’m Ella, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. Growing up, we always had at least three dogs and a few cats in the house, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me! I have over 8 years of pet-sitting experience and have cared for dogs of all sizes, from tiny Dachshunds to big German Shepherds. I’ve worked with puppies who are still potty training, senior dogs who need a little extra help, and pets who take daily medications (I’m pretty good at sneaking pills into turkey when needed 😉). I love being outside, so if your dog has lots of energy and enjoys long walks or hikes, we’ll get along great! But I’m also totally happy taking things slow and letting your pup stop to sniff every blade of grass along the way 😂. I’m currently in nursing school and am EMT-certified, so I’m responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable staying calm in unexpected situations. I only have 1–2 clinical days a week, which means I have a pretty flexible schedule otherwise. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I’ll make sure they get lots of love, attention, and care while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet them! I know our pets are family, and leaving them in someone else’s care can be stressful. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re away! Whether I’m stopping by for a walk or staying in your home, I’ll give your pet plenty of love, attention, and care. I’m also happy to send lots of updates and photos so you can see how much fun we’re having together!
“Harmony watched our cats while we were away and it was a HUGE relief knowing Harmony was there. They were so kind and responsible and my cats LOVED them. Harmony clearly knows how to care for animals, and they were able to give my senior cat medicine and play with my cats, which gave me a huge peace of mind while I’m away. They are excellent and y’all should definitely book them!”

About: Hi! I'm Jayda, and I've never known life without animals. If you ask anyone around me, they'll tell you I'm usually the one sitting on the floor making friends with furry friends. I have over 15 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all sizes and personalities. I've taken care of energetic puppies to senior dogs. I have experience with giving medications, catering to special routines, and giving a little extra patience when needed. My own pets have taught me that every pet is different. I love getting to know each pet's personality and making sure they feel safe and loved while their family is away. I know how hard it is to trust someone else with your best friend because I'd want the exact same reassurance. I'll keep you updated with photos, messages, and plenty of details so you never have to wonder how your pet is doing. I work part-time while enrolled in college, so my schedule is flexible enough to love on your companions. Whether your pet needs an early morning walk, a midday check-in, or an evening adventure, I'm happy to work with you to keep them on the routine they're used to. As someone who has had furry companions my entire life, I know trusting someone with the care of your pet isn't a small decision. I will follow your care instructions closely, respect your home, and make sure your pet gets plenty of love and attention while you're away. You will always receive photo updates and detailed check-ins!
“Caitlin is awesome! She is always quick to respond when I have a schedule change or questions. My dogs absolutely love her (and one of them is fearful of strangers!) She is punctual and very attentive to my dogs' needs. She let's me know how the walk went and sends pictures. I know they are very well taken care of. 😊”

About: My husband and I have each had pets all growing up. We also had a dog for just under a year recently that we loved having in our home. We are great at giving loving attention and walks. I am a stay at home mom, my three girls are always with me unless they are at school. Other than basic errands and social visits, we are home everyday. I have a fully fenced yard, all gaps for small dogs have been filled. My children are well versed in being safe with little dogs. Most of the time we will all be inside the home.
About: I’ve been caring for animals for most of my life and have experience with a wide variety of pets and personalities. From walking an elderly neighbor’s dog to providing daily drop-in visits for pets while families were away, I’ve always enjoyed helping owners know their animals are in good hands. I currently own a cat and a snake and have previously cared for dart frogs and raised butterflies. Over the years, I’ve also cared for dogs, birds, chickens, horses, reptiles, and other small animals. I understand that every pet has unique needs, routines, and comfort levels, and I always strive to provide patient, attentive care that helps them feel safe and comfortable. Before attending culinary school, I volunteered for seven months at North Valley Animal Shelter, where I walked dogs of various breeds and participated in enrichment activities for cats. That experience strengthened my confidence working with animals of different temperaments and reinforced the importance of positive, compassionate care. Today, I work full-time at a children’s hospital and am currently pursuing certification as a dog trainer to continue expanding my knowledge of animal behavior and handling. Whether your pet needs a walk, a drop-in visit, or simply a familiar face while you’re away, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. Michelle was amazing!! My cat was super comfortable around her from the get-go! I was never worried for a second with Michelle there to care for my cat. She is very calm and perfect for what my cat needs. She has great communication and was able to accommodate all of my special requests. She knew exactly what my cat needed, like putting on Cat TV for her, which my cat loves!!! She was definitely interested in taking the best possible care of my cat. I would choose Michelle over and over again for my Ruth <3

Pan is so awesome with our pets. We did a meet and greet with him and our pets before booking. They warmed up to him quickly. He went the extra mile to make sure all of our pets were taken care of and comfortable. Each visit he sent us multiple pictures. We had set up 4 visits a day. He was at every visit. We will definitely use Pan again to take care of our pets.

MADDISON DID AN EXCELENT JOB WITH MY KITTY! she’s super good and understanding or trips, cats, key troubles, and everything that happened on my trip, everything was so clean and I came back to my cat and my room in wonderful condition, would love to book you again!

Megan did amazing! We have different needs for each cat and a couple fish tanks as well. She stayed as long as needed each day just to make sure everything was taken care of and kept in touch. We are very grateful for, and happy with her service! Would 10-10 recommend and use again.

Olivia was kind and responsive when I reached out, and Nando and Cleo seemed well cared for. She took Nando on walks and played with him in the backyard which he loved. There were no issues during the stay. Communication was a bit minimal at times, and we would have appreciated more proactive updates and use of the Rover check-in cards. Overall, we’re glad the pets were safe and cared for and appreciated Olivia’s kindness.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
