About: I have experience with dogs, cats, fish, shrimp, snakes and rabbits. I've looked after dogs and cats for my whole life and have raised abandoned kittens from as young as 3 days old. I have 3 years experience with snakes, 2 with shrimp, 2 with rabbits and one with fish. I'm a small business owner with lots of free time! I can work day or night, Monday to Saturday. If I'm staying at the client's house, I'm also willing to work Sundays. I'm attentive to any safety instructions given and have a good general knowledge of safety for most pets. I'm also willing to administer medication when needed.
“Sara is great at communicating, timely for visits and does a terrific job caring for my cat! She has taken care of my cat several times now and I plan to work with Sara again in the future!”

“Anya did a great job. I was feeling very nervous and worried about leaving my kitten at home, but she was able to help with constant pictures and videos showing how good my cat was really doing. She played with a cat a lot and kept her clean and fed. I'm really happy with her work and will definitely be asking her to help again!”
“MADDISON DID AN EXCELENT JOB WITH MY KITTY! she’s super good and understanding or trips, cats, key troubles, and everything that happened on my trip, everything was so clean and I came back to my cat and my room in wonderful condition, would love to book you again!”

“Very happy with Grace and Lance. They were able to come play with our dog with very little notice and flexible with a willing attitude. Even noticed the water needed filling and took care of that!”

About: I have a retired service dog, and can do both sitting at your home and boarding at mine. I have watched both small and large dogs, as well as cats, reptiles, and rodents. I use to work at a farm with horses, and know my way around critters both great and small. I can provide outdoor baths if the weather is above 60 degrees, and some light training if wanted. I am in college taking classes from 10 to 1, and also work as a janitor for a school, working from 4 to 7. I am not home on Sunday mornings for about 2 hours, due to church, so any dogs will need to be OK being home alone either in a crate or loose in a room for that time period. I have my retired service dog, Wiley, who is very friendly with other dogs. I have a indoor grass patch that dogs can use, as well as the lead line i can put them out on. I am not able to walk very well, so can't do long walks, but I have a good arm and can throw a ball for 20 minutes several times a day, in the park near my house. I can provide a hose bath provided the temperature is above 60 degrees, and can use my large car to go to dog parks. Dogs are allowed on the bed, but will sleep in a crate if that is how they sleep at home. I have bones for dogs to chew on, and plenty of toys. I dont allow balls in the house, my dog has learned how to throw them himself to chase.

About: Hi! I’m Ella, and I’ve been around animals my entire life. Growing up, we always had at least three dogs and a few cats in the house, so caring for pets has always come naturally to me! I have over 8 years of pet-sitting experience and have cared for dogs of all sizes, from tiny Dachshunds to big German Shepherds. I’ve worked with puppies who are still potty training, senior dogs who need a little extra help, and pets who take daily medications (I’m pretty good at sneaking pills into turkey when needed 😉). I love being outside, so if your dog has lots of energy and enjoys long walks or hikes, we’ll get along great! But I’m also totally happy taking things slow and letting your pup stop to sniff every blade of grass along the way 😂. I’m currently in nursing school and am EMT-certified, so I’m responsible, detail-oriented, and comfortable staying calm in unexpected situations. I only have 1–2 clinical days a week, which means I have a pretty flexible schedule otherwise. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pets, and I’ll make sure they get lots of love, attention, and care while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet them! I know our pets are family, and leaving them in someone else’s care can be stressful. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable while you’re away! Whether I’m stopping by for a walk or staying in your home, I’ll give your pet plenty of love, attention, and care. I’m also happy to send lots of updates and photos so you can see how much fun we’re having together!
“Shanika is very responsible, our dog loved her visits. We were notified when she came to our house and Shanika would send us short videos. It was nice to see that! We are recommending Shanika!”

“Caitee is great with my dog! Bailey has a great time on her walks and is excited when she gets to go. Caitee is on time and very reliable and she communicates clearly and quickly. I’m so glad I found her!”

“Madelyn was great! She had great communication and kept us updated after each visit on how our kitty was doing. She also did not hesitate to reach out when she had questions or needed to check anything with us. We will certainly consider Madelyn in the future.”

“Mike has watched our dogs a few times and always does an amazing job! He gives great updates and we feel the dogs are in great hands while we are away. He did great with working with teddys allergy medication needs and Missy's fear. Definitely recommend!”

About: I owned pets my entire life, i had two small dogs that i love. i trained my puppy different commands and my other dog was a senior dog she lived until 19ish years maybe 20. i volunteer at different animal shelters occasionally. I love cats and dogs they’re my favorite i am currently working part time at a coffee shop, my hours are pretty flexible and i start college august 19th, i should still have a flexible schedule but there will be times during the day i wont be able to check in. i live in an apartment that doesn’t allow pets, so i would have to stop by clients homes if they allow me and would prefer that. I would happily bring your pets to a park, or let them stay with me for a couple hours but i can’t have them stay overnight.
“Samantha and Hunter were the absolute best! They were very communicative and took lots of pictures for me. They made me feel very safe about leaving my cat with them. I highly recommend using them, I definitely will be in the future!”

About: I’ve cared for many kinds of animals since I was a child – dogs, cats, a bird, reptiles and amphibians, fish, even cattle. Wide variety and depth of experience. I currently work from home, and occasionally run errands, but otherwise, I’m always nearby to attend to the pet’s needs. There’s always at least someone home to take care of our animals. I have a fenced backyard with shade. There’s plenty of space in the house to accommodate guests. My dogs are crate-trained and play well with other dogs.
About: I grew up with a Great Pyrenees. So naturally, I’m very good with bigger dogs. I currently work in a veterinary clinic so I have experience with the medical side when it comes to caring for your pets. i’ve had to help an emergency situations and I’ve also had to clean up many different messes so I promise I’m equipped to handle any happy accidents. I’ve watched a lot of smaller and medium size dogs for family and friends as well. I know how diffuse potentially dangerous situations among dogs, since my dog growing up was not very dog friendly. I know how to approach and react to situations with all sizes. I live with 5 dogs right now, 4 of them being over 100lbs, and 1 being 5lbs. I promise I will take amazing care of your beloved fur babies!! I am a sophomore in college. I go to Utah Valley University and I am studying Zoology. I also have a job at a veterinary clinic. I will always make sure your furbabies are taken care of and loved. I am very respectful of everyone’s homes and of your pets safe spaces. I always clean up after your pet and make sure your home clean (I used to work for a cleaning company so trust me I know how to keep things squeaky clean)!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Vineyard
Pan is so awesome with our pets. We did a meet and greet with him and our pets before booking. They warmed up to him quickly. He went the extra mile to make sure all of our pets were taken care of and comfortable. Each visit he sent us multiple pictures. We had set up 4 visits a day. He was at every visit. We will definitely use Pan again to take care of our pets.

Samantha and Hunter have been so phenomenal! We have boarded with them and they’ve done drops ins. I can always trust on check ins and that my pup is loved so thoroughly. She is always so excited to see them and barely wants to see me when I pick her up which is a positive thing ;)

Olivia was kind and responsive when I reached out, and Nando and Cleo seemed well cared for. She took Nando on walks and played with him in the backyard which he loved. There were no issues during the stay. Communication was a bit minimal at times, and we would have appreciated more proactive updates and use of the Rover check-in cards. Overall, we’re glad the pets were safe and cared for and appreciated Olivia’s kindness.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Vineyard with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
