“Anya did a great job. I was feeling very nervous and worried about leaving my kitten at home, but she was able to help with constant pictures and videos showing how good my cat was really doing. She played with a cat a lot and kept her clean and fed. I'm really happy with her work and will definitely be asking her to help again!”

About: I have grown up helping to take care of my family pets. Including feeding, taking them potty/changing the litter, grooming, taking them out for walks and to play, and lots and lots of snuggles. Im currently working on just having some side part time jobs, and i'm taking a break from school. Which leaves me lots of availability to look after your pets and give them the care they need! I am ready to keep an eye on the animals at all times, wether or not there is any sort of fencing or not. I will also keep an eye on them inside, keeping them out of trouble, and doing the necessary things to keep them safe and secure.
“First time using rover and Sara was brilliant with our dog! It’s clear he was completely comfortable and played hard each time she came. Definitely will use her again in the future.”

“I got great update pictures each visit. Catie interacted and played each visit. My cats don’t usual don’t make friends quickly but it seemed like Winnie made quick friends this time.”
About: When your pet is in my care, they’ll receive plenty of love, attention, and fun! Depending on their personality and energy level, our time together may include long walks, playtime with their favorite toys, lots of cuddles and belly rubs, treats (with your approval), and outdoor adventures in the park. I love keeping pets engaged and happy, whether that means a game of fetch, exploring new smells on a walk, or simply relaxing together on the couch. If your dog is comfortable riding in the car and you approve, I’d also be happy to take them on a fun car ride for a change of scenery and extra enrichment. Every pet is different, so I always tailor activities to their age, personality, and comfort level. My goal is to make sure your pet feels loved, entertained, and well cared for while you’re away! I’m currently in school and have classes Monday–Thursday from 1:00–3:45 PM. Outside of those hours, I’m available for pet care and always make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, and love. I also work on weekends, but I’m happy to adjust my availability when possible and communicate clearly to make sure your pet’s needs are fully met I provide loving, attentive care based on each pet’s routine and needs. I live in a student apartment with two female roommates who love animals, creating a safe and friendly environment. I follow feeding, walking, playtime, and rest schedules closely, and in clients’ homes I respect routines while providing updates, photos, and plenty of care and affection.
“Shanika is very responsible, our dog loved her visits. We were notified when she came to our house and Shanika would send us short videos. It was nice to see that! We are recommending Shanika!”

About: I have spent the last 10 years caring for a wide variety of animals, ranging from high-energy dogs to specialized exotic pets like reptiles. I am incredibly comfortable handling precise feeding schedules, maintaining specific habitats, and providing attentive companionship. I understand that every single pet has a unique personality and set of needs, and I am fully committed to following your exact care instructions to keep them happy, healthy, and safe while you're away! I currently have an incredibly open and flexible schedule, which means pet care is my primary focus throughout the day! Because I am home standard hours, I am available to provide undivided attention, frequent potty breaks, regular feeding, and plenty of companionship. Whether your pet needs a strict routine or just someone to keep them company while you are away, my flexible schedule allows me to fully adapt to your pet's specific needs. Safety and trust are my absolute top priorities when caring for any animal. In my home, I ensure a secure, pet-friendly environment where your pet will be closely supervised. I am very mindful of introducing animals properly and can easily accommodate crating or separate spaces if a pet prefers their own down time. When staying at or visiting a client's home, I strictly follow all house rules, double-check that doors and gates are securely locked, and maintain a calm, stress-free routine for your pet.

About: I grew up with a spunky black lab who lived to be 16 years old. Now I get to live with my sibling and my dog-niece who I also hope lives a long, healthy, happy life! We've been housemates for a few years now. Gently combing her curly hair is my favorite. I have an adaptable flow where I can give a pet activity if they are young and need it, or take it easy if they are older. I work with a flexible schedule from my laptop between Salt Lake County and Utah County, so I can adapt to your needs too! I like to first ask what schedule or routine your pet is used to and see how closely I can match that and their temperament. I'm used to an easeful morning, getting sun during lunch, and then some other kind of outing later in the evening even if it's just a walk. I like to try to make it to a team meeting Thursdays and Fridays in Salt Lake. I can time it so I'm not gone for long, or I can reschedule meetings depending on the circumstances, commute, animal temperament, etc. I'm happy to come to your place or host your pet at mine. I'm in a condo so I'll limit my boarding services to one pet at a time. If it's possible for me to come to you and get acquainted with your pet before overnight stays, I'd prefer that for more easeful transitions. If you come to my place, my apartment complex has green spaces and waste bag dispensaries distributed throughout the property where I walk my dog-niece in the evening. But during the day the dog is away with my sibling and I'm all alone. So your pet will have my attention. I'll ensure pets have their own separate, undisturbed sleeping space. If I come to your space, then of course your pet will be most familiar and cozy.

About: I have a retired service dog, and can do both sitting at your home and boarding at mine. I have watched both small and large dogs, as well as cats, reptiles, and rodents. I use to work at a farm with horses, and know my way around critters both great and small. I can provide outdoor baths if the weather is above 60 degrees, and some light training if wanted. I work as a janitor for a school, working from 8 to 10 during the summer. I am not home on Sunday mornings for about 2 hours, due to church, so any dogs will need to be OK being home alone either in a crate or loose in a room for that time period. I have my retired service dog, Wiley, who is very friendly with other dogs. I have a indoor grass patch that dogs can use, as well as the lead line i can put them out on. I am not able to walk very well, so can't do long walks, but I have a good arm and can throw a ball for 20 minutes several times a day, in the park near my house. I can provide a hose bath provided the temperature is above 60 degrees, and can use my large car to go to dog parks. Dogs are allowed on the bed, but will sleep in a crate if that is how they sleep at home. I have bones for dogs to chew on, and plenty of toys. I dont allow balls in the house, my dog has learned how to throw them himself to chase.

About: Hi! I'm Emma, I'm 26 and I live in Vineyard. I work as a wedding coordinator and will soon be commencing my Masters studies, so organization, communication and reliability are second nature to me. 4 months ago I moved to Utah from Australia and the hardest part of moving was leaving my own cat, Elvis, behind with my family. I raised him from six weeks old and while I knew he'd have the happiest life staying with my parents (and his dog siblings Winston and Roxy!), there's definitely an Elvis-shaped hole in my heart. That's exactly why I love pet sitting. I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else and I know how reassuring it is to receive regular updates. While you're away, I'll send plenty of photos, videos and little stories so you can see your pet is happy, safe and genuinely loved - not just being looked after. For me, pet sitting is not a job, business endeavour or a quick cash gig, it’s an opportunity for me to connect, love and cherish a four-legged friend while I’m so far away from my own. Whether your pet wants someone to play, cuddle, explore, or simply keep them company, I'll treat them as if they were my own. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away knowing they're in truly kind, responsive and dependable hands. I'd love the opportunity to meet you and your furry family member. Feel free to reach out with any questions - I can't wait to meet them! 🐶🐱❤️ I have a flexible schedule and can adapt to the needs of most pets. While I'm occasionally out of the house for work during the day, I'm always home in the evenings and make caring for the pets in my care a priority. If your pet needs a consistent routine, medication, extra companionship or more frequent care, I'll always be upfront about whether I can genuinely provide that. My promise is simple: if I don't believe my schedule is the right fit for your pet's needs, I won't accept the booking. This isn't about filling my calendar or making a quick dollar - it's about making sure every pet I care for receives the time, attention and love they deserve. At this time, I provide care exclusively in my clients' homes, allowing your pet to stay in the environment where they feel safest and most comfortable. Before every booking, I take the time to learn your pet's routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, favourite activities and any medical or behavioural requirements so life feels as normal as possible while you're away. I believe every pet is unique, so I never make assumptions. If there's ever something I'm unsure about, I'll always ask rather than guess. I'd much rather ask one extra question than risk doing something differently from the way your pet is used to. I treat every home with the same respect I would my own and you'll receive regular updates, photos and videos so you always know your pet is safe, happy and genuinely cared for.

About: I have cared for dogs and cats for family, friends, and neighbors over the years. I’m dependable, patient, and attentive to each pet’s unique personality and routine. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, administering simple medications if instructed, or giving lots of love and attention, I’ll care for your pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is to have someone you can trust, and I strive to make both pets and their owners feel comfortable and at ease. I’m currently working part time Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9am-7pm. I am free Tuesdays, Thursdays, and weekends and I’ll always communicate clearly about my availability to make scheduling easy and reliable. I understand that every pet has their own routine, personality, and needs, and I do my best to make them feel comfortable while you’re away. I always follow your care instructions carefully, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any house rules. I’ll treat both your home and your pets with respect, provide plenty of love and attention, and can send regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.
“Samantha took great care of our cat, Bella. She updated us with pictures every day and let us know how she was doing. She was super flexible with our schedule, and was just overall extremely nice and wonderful to work with. I couldn't recommend her more!”

About: I’ve cared for many kinds of animals since I was a child – dogs, cats, a bird, reptiles and amphibians, fish, even cattle. Wide variety and depth of experience. I currently work from home, and occasionally run errands, but otherwise, I’m always nearby to attend to the pet’s needs. There’s always at least someone home to take care of our animals. I have a fenced backyard with shade. There’s plenty of space in the house to accommodate guests. My dogs are crate-trained and play well with other dogs.

About: I have had many pets, but dogs are the most beloved. I have grown up with a dog and she is my pride and joy. I can walk dogs, feed them, bathe them, play with them. If they need their nails clipped, I’m your gal. Ask anyone about my love for not only dogs but for animals in general. They deserve the world and more. I am currently working part-time so I can come and keep your puppies company any time!! I am available on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays mostly! I don’t care for dogs in my house but if you need me to come to play with your pups I would be MORE than delighted!!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Vineyard
Samantha and Hunter have been so phenomenal! We have boarded with them and they’ve done drops ins. I can always trust on check ins and that my pup is loved so thoroughly. She is always so excited to see them and barely wants to see me when I pick her up which is a positive thing ;)

Olivia was kind and responsive when I reached out, and Nando and Cleo seemed well cared for. She took Nando on walks and played with him in the backyard which he loved. There were no issues during the stay. Communication was a bit minimal at times, and we would have appreciated more proactive updates and use of the Rover check-in cards. Overall, we’re glad the pets were safe and cared for and appreciated Olivia’s kindness.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking.
