About: You know that person at parties who spend more time with the dog than other people? Hi, that's me. I've had dogs in my life since I was five, and can't get enough of them. Any time I go to a friend's house and they have a dog, I'm the one begging to let them into the room. My house stinks of Boston Terrier and coats are all covered in dog hair after letting my hounds sleep on them. My current pup (Winnie, 4/yo but still a puppy) is a mad little ball of energy who I've had to play with for hours and walk for miles just to get the zoomies out of his system. I'm a dog lover, through and through. I'm most experienced with medium breeds, (namely Bostons,) but I'm more than happy to care for dogs of all sizes! I'm a freelance illustrator who works from home, so my schedule is plenty flexible. A long walk in the afternoon or evening is a good excuse to get away from my desk, and if you need someone to watch your house overnight, I can take my work with me while keeping your hound company. Any responsibilities I have are in the mornings, so any time after 3PM is fair game for dog walking. If you need someone to watch your house and hound, I'm here for 24/7 service. On any given day I'm free to watch your home and keep your dog company. I work out of my computer, so needing to commute or go work a shift isn't any worry. I can spend all day with your dog, make sure they're well cared for while you're gone. (I also might just draw them- I'm an Illustrator, after all)

“Julina was great! She was very responsive, sent lots of updates, and helped make our first experience with Rover a positive one. When she asked if our new dog would be interested in playing and learning from her dog, Loki, we jumped at the chance. They played so well together and our dog came out of his shell. We'll be calling on Julina (and Loki) again.”

About: I have had many breeds of dogs from a young age. I take care of my dogs with great pride. Feeding, grooming & taking my dog for checkup. Heartguard & flea & tick prevention. My love for dogs from many years still continues. My dog Molly is almost 8 & she is the love of our household. I started the love of dogs at a young age with my dog Lassie, then my family had Siber, a white Samoyed. We adopted a mix Doberman/German Sheppard. Then a female Maltese Chardonnay. My wife & daughter now are sharing my love as first time dog owners with Molly. We adopted her from North Shore Animal league. Any dog I would take care of, I would show compassion & care. I am retired from full time work today , I am available when you need me , message me! I am fully free on weekends as well so any time is fine! I was active in 2018 but now after 5 yrs , I am active walking dogs again . I am available for dog walking or sitting 7 days a week . When going on walks I can put on booties/sweater/jacket and harness if needed and then I would take them on a nice walk to help them get exercise, energy out and do all their business. I am very cautious to make sure they are safe and not eating anything random of the street or steping in harmful things.

About: I’m a stay-at-home mom and passionate dog lover with over 10 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, from playful puppies to senior dogs. My two boys and I spend our days in the backyard, running, playing, and enjoying quality time with our furry friends. We also love taking our pups on long, exciting walks along the Mill Pond Path, just a block away—so many new scents to discover! Your dog will feel right at home with us! I’m here for your pets 24/7, offering flexible, on-call services to meet all your needs. Whether it’s last minute pick-ups, drop-in visits, boarding, or dog walking, I’ve got you covered. This is my business, and I’m passionate about providing the best care for your furry family members. I take pride in what I do and treat every pet like my own! I have a spacious, fully fenced backyard where your dogs can play freely and safely, with supervision at all times. Safety is my top priority, which is why I do not accept aggressive or reactive dogs. I only care for neutered or spayed dogs, though I can make exceptions depending on the individual dog. I have a designated dog area to ensure they stay out of trouble. This area is conveniently located next to the yard, allowing them easy access to go outside, do their business, or play as needed. For everyone's safety, I separate the dogs during feeding time so they won’t eat each other’s food.

Valley Stream pet parents share their Rover experiences
The Best! Joanna stayed with Hazel at our apt for a week. It was the 2nd time she has stayed with her and we couldn't be happier. Hazel is super shy around everyone but us, but Joanna seems to have won her over. We could see that from the video and pic updates we received. She had her out on over 1 hour walks each time (which we can tell by Hazel's GPS collar) on adventures around the neighborhood. Seeing her tail wagging with someone else was heartwarming. As far as our place, the linens were stripped, trash taken out, dishes done, my packages stacked and everything very tidy...perfect to come home to. Highly recommend Joanna! Real piece of mind that our pup was well cared for while we enjoyed our vacation.
