“Lorena has taken care of my dog multiple times! She has done two things for us: dog walks for my peekapoo (she even taught him to go down the stairs when he was a puppy!) and stayed in my home while I was on vacation taking care of him. During the days she'd come over to walk him, she would take him on a 15 minute walk (he didn't like walking longer than that!) and then played with him for about 45 minutes. It really helped when I was at work and it got his energy out. Each time that she has stayed in my house, she has been super communicative (sending me pictures or videos unprompted) and so caring of my baby. I have had her multiple times and wouldn't hesitate to have her again. Also have to mention that it's never been a problem having her in my home - has always taken care of everything and left everything as I have left it. She's trustworthy and reliable - would highly recommend her!”

About: Throughout my life, I’ve had multiple animals. My uncle had a dog name Kane, I cared for on the weekends as a kid. Then my two shih tzu, milo and meko that were passed from my grandmother when she could no longer care for them. I also adopted a calico from the streets named Iris when I was in my junior year of high school, who turned out to be pregnant and I am now blessed to have her, Along with Oreo and waffles. Each animal has a specific feeding schedule, medication, and walking schedule( ironically the cats as well, but that’s if they let me). I’m also attending college to now become a veterinarian or just work along side animals in some way, so I use this and the training I already have to give me that sort of boost. It’s not a problem at all, as I mentioned I have a house full of animals, so when you love them like family, there no burden at all. Anytime at all is fine, as love as I’m aware because I also have school and work. I go over the basics of the animals age, diet, any special medication, or any exercises and needs the animal is currently going through. I’ve dealt with cats who’ve need to take crushed pills twice a day, along with a dog who was only fed raw so they needed a special diet and their supplements.

About: I differentiate myself by offering specialized skills like administering medication, handling medical emergencies, and providing personalized care tailored to each pet's needs. Building trust through expertise and professionalism is key in communicating effectively in order to deliver the best possible care. Additionally, my own experience with my dog has also granted me the ability to understand and meet such needs as well as the emotional needs of any pet, and to establish a trusted relationship with both pet and owner! I am currently a per diem part-time nanny to a family in New Jersey while attending online college classes; however, the alignment of both schedules allows me the flexibility to include my passion for pet care! I am flexible and available most weekdays between 9AM-2PM and weekends between 10AM-7PM. My work experience in animal welfare in clinical and boarding facilities allows me to apply what I have learned into what I can do. As an overnight supervisor in a doggy daycare environment, pets are cared for by providing a safe and stimulating environment, ensuring their well-being, and offering socialization opportunities with other dogs. This includes activities such as playtime, walks, feeding, and monitoring their behavior whereas in a clinical setting, caring for pets involves monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, conducting medical procedures, and providing post-operative care. It also includes maintaining cleanliness, following strict protocols, and ensuring a comfortable environment for the animals. Although not as extensive in daycare or clinical facilities, in-home pet care allows for individualized attention where needed as needed without the external stressors of a constantly changing environment. In-home care involves the basics of pet welfare and includes providing food, water, exercise, and companionship. Additionally, administering medication, following specific care instructions, and maintaining a safe environment are crucial, all of which I can provide based on my background and experience.
