About: Hi, I’m Cynthia ! I’m a young professional with a love for all animals looking to spread and gain some joy through my love for animals. At a party, you can spot this vegan in the corner spending time with the family's dog. Driven by a deep affection for dogs and a desire to enhance my physical health, I am exploring dog walking and dog sitting services. This endeavor is not only a refreshing diversion from my corporate tech job but also a meaningful way to contribute beyond the confines of my computer. It’s a step towards a healthier lifestyle and a gesture of giving back to the world, one dog walk at a time. --- I had my own little friend and we spent 12 years together. He battled a few medical issues making me equipped to handle any special needs of your dog. Additionally, throughout my college years, I spent time volunteering at animal shelters providing long walks on trails. --- I believe that every dog deserves personalized attention. My approach is tailored to each dog’s personality and needs, ensuring they feel comfortable, loved, and engaged during our walks. I provide nurturing care for puppies, ensuring safe and positive walks that cater to their curiosity. For senior dogs, I offer a peaceful companionship, mindful of their slower pace and physical needs. --- Please let me know if your dog has any special needs or requires extra attention. I am highly experienced in senior dog care and am always happy to accommodate their specific routines. **Some of the conditions I have hands-on experience managing include: - Insulin administration: Experienced with strict schedules and monitoring for diabetic dogs (which I did for our own beloved family pup) - Pancreatitis: Familiar with strict dietary management and flare-up prevention - Cognitive Decline: Patient and understanding with early-onset canine dementia - Sensory Impairments: Adept at navigating and comforting blind or deaf dogs ------ Above all, my connection with dogs is heart-driven. I strive to ensure every dog in my care feels like the most special pup in the world 💖 🕒 Work-Life Balance: Working from home means I’m never too far from a wagging tail. My flexible WFH schedule works well with any spontaneity needs. 📅 Weekend: Weekends are for adventure! Whether it’s a hike in the trails or simply a walk around the quiet neighborhood, I make sure your dog experiences the excitement and stimulation they crave. 🏠 Home Sweet Home: Above all, my home is a haven of love and care, where pets are treated as cherished family members. With me, every pet enjoys a routine filled with affection, attention, and the utmost care. They will be under watch 24/7.
“We are so happy with Juliana’s services. We felt safe and comfortable at all times. She took the greatest of care of all of our cats. We travel often and will absolutely thrilled to have Juliana watch over our babies again. Thank you!”

“Samantha and Jerry were fantastic. Zara, our cat, was happy and well cared for when we came home. We got great pictures of her being brushed, eating, and drinking throughout their visits. Would 100% recommend.”

About: I grew up owning dogs and very comfortable with pets. While attending school a few years ago, I started pet and house sitting for extra money, walking neighbors dogs as well. I am a very Trustworthy, Reliable, Caring, Compassionate person, and you pets will be treated like they are my own. I know it's very hard to trust someone with you pets and even in your home. I've administered medication, as we as oral meds. Your pet will be loved and safe with me. I am comfortable staying in the pets home. They are familiar with their surroundings and makes the separation easier for them. However many overnights you need. Not boarding at the moment. I prefer to stay at the Pet's home where they are more comfortable and feel they will be more at peace.
About: I’ve had numerous cats, dogs, birds and a rabbit! I love animals and the unconditional love they give in return. I would love to have the opportunity to take care of your babies while you are gone and give you the piece of mind you are looking for. I’m retired and have plenty of time to play and check on your fur baby! I adore animals and will love yours as much as I love my own! Currently I am offering services in your home only as I have a high energy puppy in mine. If your dog also is high energy and wants/craves stimulation with a like minded pup, I’d be more than happy to see how they get along! My home has a fenced in yard as well as a doggie door, and my dogs go on numerous walks per day.
About: 🐾 Hi, I’m Jane. I’ve been caring for dogs in their own homes for 10 years and I can honestly say, I love what I do. There’s something really special about a dog who barely notices their owner left because they’re too busy having a good time. I enjoy leaving clients to wonder if I even stayed — everything is just as they left it, with one exception: a happier pet. I specialize in walks, drop-in visits, and overnight house sitting, all in the comfort of your pet’s own home. I learn their routine, respect their quirks, and treat your space the way I’d want someone to treat mine. You’ll hear from me regularly with updates, photos, and videos of your dear girl or sweet boi. If you like the mundane, you’ll hear from us — me and your dog (or cat, or gerbil, or boa python — we’re all inclusive here). If you’d love to see the reasons strangers fall for your sweet girlie or darling boi, you’ll definitely hear from me while your loved one is in my care. Once you reach out, I’ll schedule a complimentary meet and greet to make sure me and your special four-legged loved one are a good match. Spoiler: we usually are. 🐾 🐾 Providing care for your loved one is built into my week, not mushed into it. Available weekdays and weekends for walks, drop-ins, and overnight stays. 🐾 🐾 This is where the complimentary meet and greet pays off for you. Because we’ve spoken ahead of time, it’s even easier for me to keep your pet on their usual routine, respect your home, and stay in consistent communication so you always know your dog is doing well. There are legends abound of me leaving my client’s place a little cleaner than I found it too. 🐾

About: I am a certified canine coach for a local dog daycare company, with expert experience in play management, basic training, and of course, showering all pups with love. I recently graduated with a degree in Wildlife Biology, giving me a solid understanding of animal behavior, dog breeds and temperaments, and basic mammal morphology. I absolutely adore dogs of all shapes, sizes, and temperaments, from 5 lb yorkies to 150 lb mutts! I have experience with all age ranges, having raised my childhood beagle from 4 months to senior years, along with currently raising a 3 year old golden cavalier. I am currently (as of june 2026) working part-time as a naturalist for Nassau BOCES. I often teach programs during the day but am regularly available for overnight stays and mid-day check ins. My program locations change daily but are all located within nassau county, and can be shared with you at the beginning of the month. I take great pride in providing the best care for your pup, helping them to stay on your set routines. While staying at your home, I will provide enrichment, exercise, and basic training along with tons of cuddles and love. I can crate dogs or have them cuddle up in bed with me depending on your preferences. Walks, feedings, and drop in can be scheduled at your convenience, barring my schedule for my daytime work.
“We knew our 2 cats were in great hands after we met Patricia for our meet & greet. She's friendly, responsible and she sent us pictures and updates while my husband and I were away for a weekend. Would love to use her again. We highly recommend!”

About: I have had many breeds of dogs from a young age. I take care of my dogs with great pride. Feeding, grooming & taking my dog for checkup. Heartguard & flea & tick prevention. My love for dogs from many years still continues. My dog Molly is almost 8 & she is the love of our household. I started the love of dogs at a young age with my dog Lassie, then my family had Siber, a white Samoyed. We adopted a mix Doberman/German Sheppard. Then a female Maltese Chardonnay. My wife & daughter now are sharing my love as first time dog owners with Molly. We adopted her from North Shore Animal league. Any dog I would take care of, I would show compassion & care. I am retired from full time work today , I am available when you need me , message me! I am fully free on weekends as well so any time is fine! I was active in 2018 but now after 5 yrs , I am active walking dogs again . I am available for dog walking or sitting 7 days a week . When going on walks I can put on booties/sweater/jacket and harness if needed and then I would take them on a nice walk to help them get exercise, energy out and do all their business. I am very cautious to make sure they are safe and not eating anything random of the street or steping in harmful things.
About: I have an almost 11 year old black lab terrier mix. Whenever we walk I let her choose the route which now isn’t as far as we used to walk but we usually go around the block. She had ACL surgery a few years ago so I make sure to walk any chance I get so she can get the exercise she needs. I also help out with my neighbors sons dog whenever he goes on vacation. I am available Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Fridays all day and the weekends. Since I’m in college I go Tuesday and Thursday and usually home by 2pm. I make sure my pets have water, food, and toys. I make sure they are never bored and if they need attention to give them the attention they need.

“Sarah did a wonderful job caring for our cat, Theo, while we were away. She kept us updated with pictures and notes about him during her visits, and made sure he was getting the attention and care he needed. Sarah went above and beyond and we felt so much better knowing she was there to check in and spend time with him. We will absolutely be requesting Sarah to care for Theo again the next time we are away. Highly recommend!”

About: My journey with dogs began with Sparkle, a rescue I raised from eight weeks old. For 14 wonderful years, she was my best friend. In her later years, she navigated life with a disability and absolutely rocked a pink wheelchair. Losing her in 2018 didn't diminish the love she left behind. It redirected it outward, straight toward every dog I've met since. I’ve since adopted Harvey, a rescue Pittie with a backstory that’ll make you cry and a personality that’ll make you laugh. He was found as a critically starving stray in Texas, brought to a high-kill shelter in NYC, and pulled from a euthanasia list just in the nick of time. Harvey has since blossomed into the happiest, goofiest, most brisket-shaped dog you'll ever meet. His favorite hobbies are couch hogging and unhinged zoomies. Rehabilitating him deepened my understanding of canine anxiety, trauma recovery, and the kind of steady, patient love it takes to help a dog truly feel safe. That experience, combined with years of hands-on care for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments, is what I bring to every visit. I've worked with elderly and special needs dogs, as well as dogs managing anxiety, hyperactivity, and behavioral challenges, across a wide range of breeds from Pitbulls and Chihuahuas to St. Bernards and Corgis. I'm currently working toward board certification in canine massage therapy through my forthcoming practice. Your pet is family. I'll treat them like it… and probably talk to them in a silly voice the whole time. My schedule revolves around animals, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! If you have any questions about my availability, just send me a message! I treat every pet in my care the way I treat my own, and I welcome pets with disabilities. I have experience administering oral medications, tinctures, and topical treatments. I cared for my late dog Sparkle with medication administered via syringe. Special needs, senior pets, and animals with medical routines are in safe and experienced hands with me. I take time to learn each pet's individual needs, quirks, and comfort levels before and during every visit…because trust between a sitter and an animal isn't assumed…it’s built.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - North Valley Stream
Karlos did an incredible job taking care of my two cat brothers while I was away for the week. He made sure they were wellfed, spent time playing with them, and sent frequent photos and updates, which I especially appreciated while I was on the other side of the country. He truly went above and beyond. Not only did he care for the cats, but he also helped fix their water fountain after one of them managed to knock it over and set up the pet cameras again after they were attacked by curious paws. Beyond that, it's clear that Karlos has a tremendous amount of experience with animals. We talked about his love for cats and dogs, his work caring for reptiles, and how much animals mean to him. For me, the most important quality in a pet sitter is someone who genuinely loves and understands animals, and Karlos absolutely embodies that. I would gladly recommend Karlos to anyone looking for a trustworthy and knowledgeable pet sitter, and I will definitely reach out to him again in the future if I need help with my cats. Thank you, Karlos!
Marissa watched our cat for one week and she is amazing! This was our first experience with Rover and it couldn’t have gone better. If you’re on here and you’re not sure who to reach out to, reach out to Marissa! She is responsible, trustworthy and kind. We did an initial meet and greet at my house, and she asked great questions about my cat’s care that even I didn’t think about. She arrived at the same time everyday and sent me the cutest pictures of him. They clearly bonded. Marissa also works in the veterinary field which is great. I will definitely book her again during future trips!

Patricia was awesome and completely put my mind at ease while I was away. I’m new to the neighborhood and it was such a relief to know we had such a kind, reliable and communicative person nearby to check in on our two cats. Everything was perfect when we returned. Thank you again!!

Stephanie took great care of my two cats, Oreo and Nala, while I was away. She followed all of my instructions and made sure their routines were kept consistent, which I really appreciated. Oreo is a social butterfly and enjoyed her company right away. What impressed me most was seeing my shy girl Nala slowly come out of her shell. By the last couple of visits she was rubbing against Stephanie and even allowing pets, which is a big deal for her. That alone speaks volumes to me. Stephanie also shared photos during the visits and kept things running smoothly while I was gone. I’m grateful that I was able to relax on my trip knowing my cats were being looked after, and came home to two happy kitties. Thank you again, Stephanie! 🐱

Caitlyn was fantastic! It was clear the cats felt comfortable and at home with her dropping in to take care of them. She came for a meet and greet ahead of time and went above and beyond with photos during each visit. With care and professionalism Caitlyn shows I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone to watch their fur-babies.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
