Additionally, my own experience with my dog has also granted me the ability to understand and meet such needs as well as the emotional needs of any pet, and to establish a trusted relationship with both pet and owner! I am currently a per diem part-time nanny to a family in New Jersey while attending online college classes; however, the alignment of both schedules allows me the flexibility to include my passion for pet care! I am flexible and available most weekdays between 9AM-2PM and weekends between 10AM-7PM. My work experience in animal welfare in clinical and boarding facilities allows me to apply what I have learned into what I can do. As an overnight supervisor in a doggy daycare environment, pets are cared for by providing a safe and stimulating environment, ensuring their well-being, and offering socialization opportunities with other dogs. This includes activities such as playtime, walks, feeding, and monitoring their behavior whereas in a clinical setting, caring for pets involves monitoring vital signs, administering treatments, conducting medical procedures, and providing post-operative care. It also includes maintaining cleanliness, following strict protocols, and ensuring a comfortable environment for the animals. Although not as extensive in daycare or clinical facilities, in-home pet care allows for individualized attention where needed as needed without the external stressors of a constantly changing environment. In-home care involves the basics of pet welfare and includes providing food, water, exercise, and companionship. Additionally, administering medication, following specific care instructions, and maintaining a safe environment are crucial, all of which I can provide based on my background and experience.
