I can host your pet overnight in my home; stay overnight in your home if needed. Pop-in visits to provide breaks, walks, feeding if you live within a reasonable distance. I can also provide day care services. Very flexible and try to respond promptly bc we all have busy lives. I do not have a crate. Bringing your own crate is optional but not required. House broken/trained is preferred. I prefer to host 1 dog at a time. 2 dogs from the same household would be possible but prefer not to mix dogs from multiple households. ***Housesitting notice - I do have an 11lb Havanese puppy that would accompany me for overnight housesitting assignments. He's house-trained, does not shed and very friendly with people and other dogs.*** ***Boarding / House-sitting requests please note that I have a 1yr old 11lb Havanese in my home. I work 2 days a week Wed and Friday. Friday is an 8 hour day in Ankeny. I am available after 445 on Fridays. I love all living creatures but I am allergic to cats. I have owned dogs, my last one passed away last year. I am a nurse and am very comfortable giving meds, injections and recognizing illness in dogs. I have been around dogs and cats my entire life, and love taking care of them to get to know each one on an individual level. I consistently socialize them in order to reinforce good dog behavior, and I hope to do the same with your pup. Over the years I have dog-sat for many friends and loved every minute of it. Sophia did an excellent job watching our two dogs while we were on vacation. One of our dogs is very anxious and requires extra time to warm up to strangers. Sophia was flexible, maintained a calm demeanor, and did several drop in visits prior to our departure to ensure he was comfortable when we left.
