“Good communication. Willingness to do a meet and greet and house sit on short notice was a life saver. Rachel and family seem to really love pets and get to know their personalities. Our animals were all happy when we came home.”

“Emily is the best! We’ve booked her several times and she takes wonderful care of our beloved pets. We love how she shares pics and keeps us posted on what’s happening at our house while we’re away.”

“We rebooked Sam to watch our senior frenchie Tiffany while we went out of town for a week. Sam was amazing! They reached out with any questions and sent lots of updates and pictures. We just got home and Tiffany is chill as a cucumber, no stress at all. Sam was wonderful giving Tiffany her meds (there are so many) on schedule and without any issue. We were able to relax and enjoy our trip because Sam was here taking the best care of our Tiffany. Sam is also very friendly and chats with us in the app and in person so this whole situation is even more comfortable because we have a super cool person dog sitting, someone we would want to hang out with and who is competent, funny, and so caring. I cannot recommend Sam enough!”

“Kendra was amazing!! She came over to our home prior to house/dog sitting to meet our babies. She kept us updated while we were away with how the dogs were doing. She also sent pictures. I would highly recommend her to watch your fur babies!”

“Daniel was amazing! We have a newly adopted puppy and had to leave town for a night shortly after adopting him. Daniel gave us peace of mind while we were away and took great care of our crazy pup!”

“We really love Jessica and she takes good care of our fur babies! We have a 7 year old foxhound a 7 month old new lab/beagle mix puppy at our house and she took on both last week, and they just loved having her here! She always sends us updates and photos and I feel very at ease when we are out of town and she is here. Highly recommend.”

“Lexi took great care of our older dog in our home this past weekend. On the house sitting side, she was a perfect house guest. We would definitely use her again in the future, and i would recommend her to anyone in need of pet sitting.”

“Raelyn took excellent care of our Lab while we were out of town. She provided lots of updates with pictures and very communicative with us. We have already rebooked her!”

About: I have personally had a pet or 3 since I was 13 years old. I begged for a cat for years and once I got one, I never have been without at least one pet. I have been volunteering with the ARL since 2005. I have had 30+ foster dogs through them as well. I just love animals. I do have weekends blocked but just ask about availability! I am retired. I enjoy going for walks with dogs and depending on the dog spending time outside in my fenced in backyard. I have a 6 foot fence. Your dog will have the ability to be part of our family and our family pets are on our furniture. We do separate our home animals, fosters and house guests at night. The "regulars" get to sleep in our beds while our guests get other accommodations. It makes for better harmony for us. Because we foster on a regular basis our animals are very used to different dogs coming into our home. Our home is pretty quiet and relaxing.
“I can’t say enough about Allison. She is personable, timely, responsible, a great communicator, clean and dependable. Allison took great care of our 2 small dogs, took care of our plants and our house was in tip top condition when we came home. She went above and beyond. Highly recommend her!”

“Yasmin is amazing! We are from out of town and needed care for our two dogs while we attended a family wedding. Yasmin patiently stayed for 8 hours at our rental walking, feeding, playing, and babying our fur babies. Our Sr. Lab has a multitude of phobias and can be challenging but Yasmin was patient and kind. All while dealing with our 1 year old Mini Aussi. I can’t wait to visit again and have her back. She is a life saver!”

“We were so happy to have Monica sit our girls! She was super friendly, respectful and kept us updated throughout the sit. Loved receiving her pictures as well! Would book with her again and definitely recommend!!”

“Mckenzie and Anthony were a great duo. This was the first time our puppy had anyone watch him and our dog is a little shy and nervous. They did great with him. They spent the night with my dogs and sent videos and photos multiple times a day. Anthony even took our garbage out to the curb on garbage day and we never would have even asked him to do that! Fantastic experience. Definitely, will hire them again!”

“This was our Winnie’s first ever stay with a sitter and I couldn’t have picked a better person! Nejra was absolutely fantastic! She provided photos throughout the day which were great. She was definitely approved by all the animals which was great!!”

About: I have cared for dogs and cats since I was 10 and have grown up with them. They are part of my family. I have worked at dog daycares but found I would like to give individualized attention to ensure every dog and cat get the care and focus they need. I have always worked at vet clinics cleaning kennels, giving baths, and giving meds such as pills, vitamins, eye and ear drops, and ointments. The well being if your pet means everything to me. How are they feeling? What makes them most comfortable and works best for them? I will walk them, cuddle with them, feed them and make sure they always have fresh water, give them treats if you say it's okay, watch their favorite show and read to them! I am working part time and as I build up clientele I would like to work 3 days a week for 4 hours each day. I will make sure that your dog has an excellent walk being able to stop and smell the roses and making sure they are safe. If you have a reactive dog I will switch to the other side and keep a safe distance from other dogs (my catahoula is reactive) I will give them breaks if they need and am always mindful of the temperature. If you want me to come in and feed your dog I can absolutely do that and make sure they have fresh water and give treats if you say it's okay! I will of course give cuddles and would be happy to watch their favorite show with them and read to them!

Johnston pet parents share their Rover experiences
Angie did a terrific job taking care of our dog Teddy. She kept in contact with us and sent photos daily. Teddy is a senior dog who requires medication and is a very picky eater. She was able to met all his needs and took the extra time to make him steak and other food to add to his kibble. When we came home from our trip our dog was happy and healthy and our house was very clean. Angie went above and beyond and cleaned the house and took out our trash! She even offered to throw the bed sheets in the washer before she left. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a house sitter.
Amethyst was a huge help for us - stepping up when our other sitter had to cancel on short notice. She took great care of the pups while we were gone. We got several updates throughout the day, along with several pictures of the kiddos. We will definitely keep her in mind for the next time!
