About: Hi, I’m Angelica, a lifelong New Yorker and lifelong dog lover. I bring over 30 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I was raised with a pack of 8 Pekingese, caring for them from playful puppies to wise seniors. That experience taught me the importance of patience, attention, and unconditional love. Whether your dog is a high energy pup who needs long walks or a senior needing a slower pace and a gentle touch, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, seen, and happy. I treat every dog like family, because that’s exactly what they are. Spending time with dogs isn’t something I squeeze in, it’s a core part of how I structure my day. My routine is built around making sure each dog gets the time, attention, and care they deserve. Whether it’s morning walks through the park or evening check-ins, I’m fully present and flexible to meet each dog’s needs. This work keeps me active, grounded, and genuinely happy. I am available Monday-Friday from 8 am-5pm. In a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space and routines. I keep things clean, follow house rules, and make sure pets feel secure in their familiar environment. Whether it’s belly rubs, fetch sessions, or quiet companionship, I adapt my care to meet each pet’s personality and needs.

“Olivia was amazing looking after my baby while i was away for a while but the fact of not having to worry about her and enjoy myself was priceless so thank you so much and I will definitely recommend her to everyone I know when she is available again.10/10”

“Erin is fantastic! She obviously loves dogs and took excellent care of Izzy. She sent lots of pictures so I could see what they were doing all day and all the belly rubs that Izzy was getting :-) Erin is very responsive and responsible with excellent and timely communication. I look forward to having Izzy stay with Erin again during vacations or just for the day. Thank you Erin for all the love!”

About: I adopted my Puerto Rican rescue named Leo in 2019 and he has completely changed my life. He can be reactive on walks and is a super anxious boy in general so I have experience managing nervous dogs. Leo has taught me to see every dog as a cherished family member and loyal companion. When I meet a dog, my goal is to make them feel as loved and special as they make us feel everyday. My goal is to spend as much time as possible with dogs and I would love to meet yours! I know how exhausting it can be to work and meet your pets needs, and I would love to give you some peace of mind knowing they’ve gotten attention, love, and exercise while you’re busy. I am free for the summer so I have a lot of time to be with your dog and work with whatever your schedule is. I am open to spending time with your dog in your home during the day (but would prefer not to stay overnight). I can do mealtimes and take walks/backyard playtime. And of course, will include endless cuddles.

“Tara was terrific! Super fast communication, on-time, followed instructions down to every last detail, and was very attentive to our pup. I’d recommend Tara to anybody, and we will absolutely use her again in the future.”

About: Hi! I’ve had the pleasure of loving dogs for over 15+ years and can provide amazing playtime and love to your pet while you’re away :). Friends and family have relied on me for caring for their animals in the past, as well as advice on how to best treat / care for animals. I work from home so will always be around to give your pet some extra love, belly rubs and most importantly treats. I also love to exercise and can use an excuse to take long walks in the city with your pup! I will just be one step away for anything they may need - and will always keep a watchful eye for anything they may get their curious heads into.

“Tracy is a total pro: Caring, communicative, friendly, and on-point with everything. My very shy cat, QQ, had seldom ever been left alone overnight, much less nearly a week. But Tracy was a rockstar, not only caring for his basic needs, but also engaging in a sustained effort to coax my shy guy into playing and coming out of his introverted shell. Tracy provided regular video and photo updates that went above and beyond to assure me that he was OK. Tracy also did all of this during the holiday season, fitting QQ into her schedule at the last-minute with ease and friendliness. Quite simply, I cannot recommend Tracy highly enough. I trust her with my little guy unequivocally - and so should you! Thank you, Tracy!”

“Wendy was great with my cats and was able to administer their complicated medication regimen without issue. She is attentive, responsible, and communicative. I would be happy to book her again in the future.”

About: I have experience with both dog and cat sitting gigs. I have owned a dog since 4th grade and have done jobs with both big and small breeds and also cats. My favorite dogs are French bulldogs but I enjoy all of them. I have experience dealing with leash reactive dogs and both young and old dogs. I am currently a masters student at Hunter and have free time during the day. I’ve had a dog since I was in elementary school and have done a lot of cat sitting in the city. I will cater to their needs but also follow directions from their owners. I will play with them, feed them when they need to be fed, and walk them as requested.

About: I've taken in family pets whenver necessary and loved them all from Raffie to Blitz. I have been active with PAWS for the past 8 years, helping senior and disabled folks maintain relationships with their pets by providing dog walking and boarding when required. I am currently retired, but do volunteer work for several cultural institutions and local senior centers. i am never away for more than 4 hours per day. I try to duplicate the pet's home environment and schedule as close as possible to minimize any stress. I have experience with adult and senior dogs and have no trouble administering oral meds.

“Ian took fantastic care of our cat Ravioli as always. He spent time playing with Ravioli and taking care of his medical needs, and was communicative and sent us adorable photos every day. After using Ian as our cat sitter for the past few months, it’s safe to say Ravioli officially loves Ian more than he loves us. I highly recommend him!”

“Mackenzie was great with my cat Winston during her drop-in visits. She took great care of him and sent regular updates with photos. Communication was easy and clear. I’d definitely book her again!”

About: I am a huge dog lover and have cared for dogs of many different breeds and temperaments throughout my life. Growing up, my family took in stray dogs and cats as well as pets like turtles and birds (even a chicken and duck at one point). Therefore, I am experienced in caring for dogs and cats with many different personality types. I adopted our sweet dog, Loki, 11.5 years ago and treat him like royalty. Loki came into my life at 4 months old, so I also have experience caring for puppies. He is very friendly with dogs, cats, and people. Now at 12 years old, he is still full of energy and loves to play, but also lounges and naps like a pro. I have enjoyed taking care of friends’ dogs as well, and while I would love to adopt another dog someday, for now, I promise to treat your pup like a member of my family and am excited to give them all the attention and best care possible! I work from home with a flexible schedule so I and my sweet dog, Loki, will give your fur baby 24/7 companionship and lots of love! Our 1,400-square-foot apartment gives your pup plenty of room to run, play, and relax. My flexible schedule allows me to take your little one on long walks multiple times throughout the day or to one of the several parks nearby. Whether younger or older, active or laid back, your pup will have plenty of opportunities to indulge their wants and needs. The apartment is located just 5 blocks from Central Park, 2 blocks from the East River walkway, and close to both Karl Schurtz Dog Park and Andrew Haswell Green Dog Park - perfect for enjoyable outings. At home, there is a wide array of toys and activities to keep your furry friend engaged, from soft plush toys to stimulating puzzles and even an indoor obstacle course. If your fur baby prefers to take it easy, they have access to comfortable spots all over the apartment including two beds, three dog beds, couches, and cozy rugs as well as lots of scritches and snuggles.

About: Lifelong dog lover based on the Upper East Side. I spent 7+ years taking care of the beautiful black lab in my profile pic - she has bad anxiety and some food allergies, but she’s my best pal and I see her very often! Other repeat friends include the pups in my photos: a 70lb pittie who’s VERY dog aggressive but loves to smother me with kisses, a playful boxer mix, and the white fluff ball is a complete maniac but super loving. You can never have too many four-legged friends, but I travel for work a bit (which isn't conducive to having a pup full-time), so I've got a lot of love waiting to be shared. Big fan of long walks, playtime, scratches, and snuggles! Available for short- or long-term stays at your place or mine, drop-ins, and walks on days when I work from home, planned in advance or last-minute. It’s my goal to make your dog as feel comfortable, happy, and safe. I’ll of course adhere to any routines you have (crates, gates, etc). When sitting/boarding, I like to be at home with them as much as possible so that they won’t feel lonely or anxious.

Jiaxu G.
“I’m thrilled to write this testimonial for Jiaxu, who is applying to be a dog walker. I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Jiaxu since middle school, and she has always been one of the kindest, most caring people I know. Over the years, we’ve shared countless memories, but one thing that stands out is her genuine love for animals. I have an Italian Greyhound named Rari, who just turned 4 years old. As anyone with an Italian Greyhound knows, they can be a bit of a handful—full of energy, yet delicate and sensitive. My dog has a particular routine and a few quirks, like needing extra warmth on colder days and a gentle hand during walks. Despite these challenges, Jiaxu has consistently stepped up to care for him with incredible patience and love. There was one occasion that truly showed Jiaxu’s dedication and compassion. Just a few days after Rari had been neutered, he was still healing and supposed to be resting. However, being the energetic dog he is, Rari couldn’t resist a few high jumps, and to my horror, he started bleeding. I was in a panic, unsure of what to do. Without hesitation, Jiaxu rushed over, assessed the situation, and immediately took Rari to the ER. She stayed with him the entire time, comforting him as they waited for nearly two hours to see a vet. Despite the long wait and the worry, Jiaxu remained calm and focused on Rari’s well-being. After the treatment, she brought him home and made sure he was settled and comfortable, even staying to monitor him through the night. Thanks to her quick thinking and unwavering care, Rari made a full recovery, and I was incredibly grateful to have someone like Jiaxu by my side during such a stressful time. Jiaxu doesn’t just take care of the basics; she truly connects with my dog. Whether it’s giving him belly rubs until he falls asleep or taking him on long walks that tire him out just enough, she understands what he needs and ensures he feels loved and happy. My dog, who can be quite picky about people, absolutely adores her! I have no doubt that Jiaxu would make an exceptional dog walker. Her reliability, compassion, and genuine care for animals shine through in everything she does. Any dog would be lucky to have Jiaxu as their walker, and I wholeheartedly recommend her for this role.”

“I have know Dean for many years!!! When I first met her she had a lovely cat of her own and cared so lovingly for it!! The minute she sat down her pussycat jumped up on her lap and snuggled!! After her cat passed away she started taking care of dogs through PAWS. She boarded and/or walked them. At one point she was boarding a dog whose owner was in rehab. Sadly the owner died and Dean adopted the little West Highland dog. The dog was not young and sadly passed away as well. Dean grieved for that sweet creature!!! She has a very special feel for dogs in general. Having been out on the street with her, she responds to every dog we pass!! I can recommend Dean most heartily. She is the most caring person I know!!”

“Hanna followed all directions to a T. Great river.”

Katie G.
“Katie has been my dog sitter for over 10 years. She is compassionate and responsible, and has cared for my dogs as if they were her own; at times inconveniencing herself and her schedule to accommodate my dog's. The best testament, however, is seeing my dogs' reaction when they see Katie. The excitement and love they show for her is proof beyond doubt that she loves them as if they were her own. That is a quality that cannot be bought, and I have total peace of mind when my dogs are with her.”
Upper East Side pet parents share their Rover experiences
I used the drop-in service over a weekend and was very happy with the care provided. She was extremely attentive, detailed, and thoughtful in how she looked after my Pomeranian, Nimbus. Each check in included a clear, thorough report about how my Nimbus was doing, from cleaning up her space to refreshing water and food, to describing their walk and time together. I really appreciated the attention to detail and the genuine care she showed. It gave me peace of mind knowing my dog was in good hands while i was on my trip, especially with the thorough notes . I would absolutely recommend her !!

I cannot say enough good things about Katherine! This was our first time using Rover for our cat and she was outstanding. Gave us WONDERFUL updates and definitely cared for our little guy. 10/10 would recommended would LOVE to hire her again in the future :)

Amanda took great care of our two cats while we were away! During drop ins, she followed all directions when it came to their care and sent us detailed updates. On top of this, our cats LOVED her. We have a shy girl who doesn’t like to socialize with strangers, yet she got so comfortable with Amanda that she was climbing on her lap within a few days (our cat has never done this for anyone outside myself and my husband!!). Our other cat would sit at the door after Amanda left hoping she would come back. It was so wonderful to enjoy our vacation knowing our cats were getting quality care and having a good time. We will absolutely be booking Amanda for future pet care needs, I cannot recommend her enough!
