About: Iâve loved being around pets for as long as I can remember. Friends and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets like they were my own. Iâve looked after everything from 4-pound Chihuahuas to three Bernese Mountain Dogs at onceâand Iâve enjoyed every moment. Iâm comfortable with all kinds of personalities, from high-energy pups (like my old roommateâs dog, who I helped train) to shy, skittish dogs (like the one I grew up with). For the past few years, Iâve also been working through Rover and helping neighbors with pet careâprimarily watching an older dog recovering from ACL surgery and an elderly cat with special needs. I take pride in being patient, reliable, and tuned in to what each pet needs to feel safe and loved. Iâm currently pursuing my Masterâs at Columbia and taking evening classes, which means Iâm available during weekday work hours for walks, drop-ins, or daytime sitting. Iâm also fully available on weekends for walks or in-home pet sitting. While my apartment doesnât allow pets, Iâm more than happy to pet sit in your home or take your dog on walks. Iâm very comfortable meeting new dogs, handling walks, and crating if needed. I always adjust to each petâs personality and routineâwhether that means sticking to house rules, keeping up with high energy, or cuddling on the couch. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, relaxed, and loved while youâre away.
âWeâve had some great cat sitters on Roverâ Claire was *exceptional.* One of our kitties likes to poop when sheâs mad that Iâm gone, but it seems like Claire spent such quality time with them, there was no anger poop!! We got tons of pictures (even videos!), and Claire took absolutely excellent care of our girls. She was happy to bring in our packages (we were getting wedding presents), and made sure to let me know when they arrived. Our shy kitty came out for her after only a few days and seemed happy to see her when she would visit. I would 100% hire Claire again, I just hope sheâs still in NYC!!â

âAyanna is great! She accepted my last minute booking and came over same day to meet my kitty Ella and get the key. Ella immediately loved Ayannaâs energy, and I feel good having her look after my baby.â

âcatherine was so incredibly sweet to my baby boy and treated him like her own. I plan to continue to book with her anytime that iâm out of town. truly remarkable and couldnât recommend enough!â

About: With a almost 2 year old husky/cattle dog mix at home, weâre basically professional walkers at this point , no trail too long, no park too big! Amber takes him on runs, and weâre constantly hunting for new hidden gems around Central Park to explore. When we care for other pups, we bring that same energy, making sure they feel right at home (and maybe a little spoiled too!). Both of us have unusual schedules at work so we are super flexible when it comes to our schedules. We are available during the day for a quick puppy visit, longer walks or overnight for boarding! We lead caring for pets with love and we never force dogs in an uncomfortable situation. We do everything to make sure our pet is comfortable even during new challenging situations as he grew up from an anxious puppy to a confident adult dog.
âMeredith was such a pleasure to have to come and take care of our pets. From the first day she came to meet them, she was calm, kind, careful, professional, and cared so much about what she does and our animals. She asked many important questions, showing her own interest to provide the best possible care. Her communication was wonderful before and during her arrival and her detailed accounts made me laugh and put me at ease. Shes an amazing sitter and I hope everyone has the chance to work with her. I will be working with her again whenever the need arises. A++++â

âBrittney was super communicative, attentive, and perfectly carried out everything asked of her! She was able to come by for a house visit on short notice as well which was appreciated. Hugo enjoyed her visit and looks forward to the next one!â

âMasie was extremely helpful for the entire month I was gone. She accepted my booking with 2 days before my month long trip and kept me updated the entire time. In top of that, part way through the month, she accepted a change to the request to add additional days per week due to concerns. She was extremely helpful for peace of mind and the photos she sent every visit helped more than I wouldâve thought!â

About: I had the joy of growing up with a Labrador, two Chihuahuas, a Yorkie, and a Japanese Spitz. Each one taught me about the dedication and joy of caring for these companions! Iâve also volunteered at the Humane Society, where I tended to dogs of various sizes and temperaments. Iâve been working on Rover for 4 years, and dog-sitting/walking outside of Rover for 10+ years. I am a graduate student with a very flexible schedule during both weekdays and weekends. Please message me for any scheduling questions you may have. With years of pet experience, I know to always put the animal's safety first. Whether that's checking a harness before a walk or making sure that they only eat the food they are allowed to eat, these things are always at the top of my mind. I have a lot of experience with more reactive dogs, so I know how to make sure that they are safe on walks. You can always expect photo updates while I'm with your dog :) If anything comes up, I will be sure to check in with you right away.
âAbsolutely recommend Hayden! He's been fantastic with my 70-pound Goldendoodle, who absolutely adores him. Hayden knows how to handle larger dogs with ease and is not only very friendly but also proactive in his communication. I always come home to a very content pup after Hayden has been with him. If you're looking for someone reliable and caring, Hayden is your go-to!â

About: I owned a puggle for 13 years and loved caring for her. I started Rover in 2022. Iâm the person who immediately flocks to the dog at a house party. I know where dogs love to be scratched most (in their ears and right above their tail). I love a dogâs energy and reciprocate. I love slobbery dog kisses. I have a positive attitude. Iâm a runner, surfer, and love exploring NYC on foot. I enjoy an active lifestyle with sunshine. I work in advertising and production downtown. I could make a cute video of your dog and take perfect photographs. I work remote so it can truly be at any time of the day fortunately. I have a day job which ends at 5-6pm M-F, but all hours before, during, and after are likely to work. And certainly the weekends, though I do attend Sunday service around 11am-2pm. Pets are not allowed in my home, but I have no issue being in the customersâ homes. I can definitely look into if I can host them.
About: I have several years experience owning and caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I'm comfortable with multiple dogs at once and available for individual walks, overnights and extended stays. I can also help with the administration of medicine, bathing and other miscellaneous household or careaking task. I'm also happy to run errands, pick up mail or any other random task you may need during walks. Looking forward to meeting you and your pups! I currently work overnight/early morning shifts so available mostly for afternoons and evenings but happy to help out in the mornings and/or as much as my schedule allows. Your dogs and cats with be safe, loved and cared for with me. I can't accept pets into my home and but happy to stay in your home to give them any extra care and attention they need.

Payton is amazing! I had to make a last-minute request, and she was very responsive and flexible, and sent great photos! While I was away, I was completely at ease, because I knew that my Mimi was well taken care of. She even did a great job giving the cat her daily medication. I highly recommend Payton to any cat parents who seek first-class care!

Our boy Romeo just loved Jenny and took to her immediately! Jenny has a sweet and understanding way about her. She understood and implemented our parameters, and her experience with dogs was apparent via her observations. She was firm yet gentle. Thank you Jenny!

Yarden was an incredible sitter to my cat while I was away for a long weekend! As a first time Rover user, she walked me through the whole process and reassured me that he would be in good hands - and he was! She connected instantly with him and took such great care of him while I was away. She provided detailed updates and photos after each drop-in, which was so comforting. She seamlessly administered his medications and tended to all of his other needs. I highly recommend booking Yarden, I definitely will again!

Leta did a great job taking care of our cat while we were away for the weekend. Good communication throughout the process. She also went above and beyond and helped us turn on our radiators during a cold snapâ thanks Leta! Looking forward to hiring Leta again.

Ai-Ling was so attentive with my cats and went above and beyond to engage with them. She sent a lot of photos and updates, and made us feel at ease during our trip. She clearly knows how to take care of cats, and our cats are clearly very comfortable with her. Will definitely book again!
