“Kailey was amazing! She took wonderful care of Diesel and gave me such peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated with photos, communicated quickly anytime I had a question, and was incredibly responsible throughout the entire stay. I also came home to a very clean and tidy house, which I really appreciated. I felt completely comfortable knowing Diesel and my home were in good hands. I would absolutely book Kailey again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy sitter!”

“Absolutely fantastic experience with Gabriela! This was our first time using Rover so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. She stayed at our house, sent regular pictures of our very happy dogs, and left the place spotless. 10/10 recommend.”

“Mya took great care of my senior dog. She spent a lot of time with him and he warmed up to her pretty fast. He had plenty of walks and was able to lounge outside a lot. The communication was excellent. I would highly recommend Mya.”

“Lexus thank you so much for watching our pup gunner! We really appreciate all that you did. From the photos, to the sweet gift of a bandanna with a card . Along with the sweet paper that gave us all the updates we are very grateful! Truly recommend Lexus she was punctual, professional and just overall a 10.”

“Autumn was Fabulous!! She is friendly, a great communicater, and sent me pictures throughout her time in my house. I have 3 goldendoodles and they gave her a 5 out of 5 review. About: I've loved animals since childhood and I have a collection of my own! Including the basics, 3 cats, and.... geckos, snakes, and quails of cource all our non-venmous and completely hsrmless little ones! No matter what your pet is I would love to care for them and give them the best care possible! I will spend as much time as needed with your furry, feathered or scaly pet as needed! No matter my schedule I always block off time to give your baby as much time as they require! I have a separate sectioned off area of my apartment where you pet will get all the enrichment they need without being disturbed by any of my babies.
“Sonal was absolutely amazing! She was incredibly thorough and detailed, and warm & attentive to our babies. She kept us updated with photos and reports, and kept us at ease during our vacation. 10/10 will try to book again. :)”

“Kiri was awesome at taking care of our pets and very communicative. Our dog is a little spicy and I get anxious when new folks watch her. Kiri helped ease that anxiety. Will definitely rebook!”
“Tori stepped in to help with my two dogs at such a crucial point for me. She completely lived up to all of her 5 star reviews. Communication in meeting the dogs, leading up to the stay and during the stay was excellent. She sent pictures and gave me the updates that were so important to me. I will always be grateful to her for helping me out this weekend. Thank you Tori!”
“Trinity was absolutely fantastic with my 2 dogs. I have a Belgian malinois and a Staffordshire, 11 and 5 respectively, and both felt very comfortable around trinity. In the past my dogs would have nervous stomach problems with other sitters, but trinity made them feel loved and comfortable, and when we came back from our trip they were happy and loved. Trinity kept us in the loop the entire trip and respected our home and dogs like her own. Will definitely be hiring trinity again in the future.”

“Zuleimarie provided outstanding care for our dog. She took detailed notes of everything we mentioned and made sure nothing was overlooked. She actively communicated with us every day, was always punctual, and kept us reassured with photos and videos of our pup. Our dog received attentive, loving care, and we returned home to a happy, well-cared-for pet and complete peace of mind. We will definitely book her again.”

About: I have 3 cats. I love them all. One is a senior with the energy of a teen. One is reserved but playful. The last one is very selective with how she likes to receive attention and she gets all the love as such. They all get my attention and care in their unique ways, and I would be doing the same with your pets. I may be a cat person, but I love dogs too. Your dogs will be getting some extra attention and loving from me. Aside from just walking your dogs, we could go for a quick run, play some tug of war, whatever toys you have available. Now cats, I love playing with cats, snuggling with cats, and just occupying the same room as cats. Whatever your cats need, I'm just there to make sure they are okay and that they don't get too lonely while you're gone. I will be taking pictures of your pets and sending them to you so you know they are being taken care of or just to remind you how cute they are. Can also watch over cats colonies while you're gone. At the moment, I am very flexible. I am free most of the week for most of the day. I limit any visits between 10 am and 8 pm. I will be starting with soon, and I'll have to limit myself to evenings. For dogs, if you have any toys they like to play with, I will play with them using those toys. I will go on walks with them to make sure their business gets done. If they have been naughty and made a mess, I will tidy things back up for you with your permission. For cats, I bring my own toys if needed to play cats. Cats I've watched over loved the rainbow string wand and the mini plush soccer balls I bought for my own cats. I like to brush cats and help them de-shed. I regularly clean out the litter box and use a deodorizer on both the remaining litter and litter dumped if left in the trash bag. Essentially how I treat my cats, I would treat yours with the understanding that I am a stranger in their home.
“Peter was the best! He took perfect care of my pup and went above and beyond. My pup felt safe and happy and he left my home in perfect condition. Would definitely use again.”

“Sydney was great with our two pups while we were out of town. Our Malinois got sick just before we left and I let her know we gave him rice and he should be ok. She responded that even if he was still sick, she would take care of it. She let them out frequently and took great care of them! Will be utilizing Sydney again. Thank you! 😊”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Union Park
We are thankful for the care Marin provided for both of our pups while we were away. We hired her for the weekend to house sit and take care of the dogs, and she did a great job! She kept us updated with photos and texts and even handled some unexpected, last minute medication needs for our older pup. We would highly recommend her and would definitely have her sit for us again!

Lexus is an incredible person and she was exactly who our sweet senior pup needed! She is also the exact person two helicopter dog parents needed to feel comfortable leaving a dog that needs a bit of special attention. Lexus proactively kept us informed of how she was doing and was sure to capture lots of little moments to share with us, which we appreciated so much. 100/10 would recommend her highly, we have already booked her for another trip, and honestly feel so relieved knowing our girl has a new friend in Lexus!

Chris was absolutely phenomenal! He took care of all three of our pups for the entire week while we were away, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, he was incredibly communicative, sending regular updates, photos, and videos that gave us complete peace of mind while we were traveling. It was clear that he genuinely cared about each of our dogs and took the time to learn their individual personalities and routines. When we came home, all three pups were happy, relaxed, and clearly well-loved. It’s not easy finding someone you trust with your pets—especially three of them—but Chris exceeded every expectation. If you’re looking for someone who is reliable, compassionate, attentive, and truly treats your pets like family, Chris is the one. We would book him again without hesitation. 10/10 experience. Thank you so much, Chris!

Jin was great! Very good communication, sent photos/updates, left home in great shape, and most importantly took care of Duke well even with all his health issues! She was also so kind to be flexible with the schedule due to my son coming home earlier than expected. Appreciate it!

Cheyenne was awesome in our first attempt at pet sitting for our 10 year old pup. She consistently provided updates/videos/pictures while we were away, and even came over for a meet & greet ahead of us leaving town to get her dog and ours some time together. We will definitely be using her again in the future!

Alison was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we met her, we felt confident our pets were in great hands. She took the time to ask thoughtful, detailed questions to make sure she understood their routines and personalities, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. She sent plenty of photos and updates throughout the weekend, and it was clear our pets were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. They absolutely loved her! It’s such a relief to find someone who is so reliable, attentive, and genuinely caring. We wouldn’t hesitate to book Alison again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for an exceptional pet sitter.

She did an amazing job watching my dog and followed everything exactly how I asked. I checked in a lot while I was away and she was always super responsive and reassuring, which made me feel so much better. I could tell she really cared and kept me updated, and I felt comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. I’d definitely book with her again and highly recommend her!

Bailey was great! Highly recommend. Super comfortable with dogs and followed all instructions left. Sent tons of photos everyday and always communicated. Very professional and friendly. She stayed in our home while we were away for 3 nights. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Ashley was such a blessing to have keep my puppies company while I was out of town. She sent daily updates, kept me in the loop, and it was obvious my pups were very loved. Ashley was able to ensure their feeding plans were followed in the same way they are when I’m home. I was thankful she was willing to stay at my house where they are comfortable. She also left my house in better shape than when I left!! She was respectful of my home/belongings and loved my dogs as if they were her own. I can’t say enough good things about Ashley, I look forward to working with her again next time I leave town!!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Union Park on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of September 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Union Park walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Union Park maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Union Park choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Union Park. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 95% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
