About: I got my first dog when I was in 6th grade and he was a shitzu. He was the calmest dog I ever had and people told me he kind of resembled me. That was 14 years ago and I have learned a lot of patience, love, and care throughout that time. After he passed 6 years ago, I’ve continued to love animals through fostering (longest was 2 months) and dog sitting both short term and long term. While your pet stays in my home overnight, I will give all my attention to whatever needs they have. I will play with your dog as if they were my own because that is how much I I love them. My special skill is that I am patient with pretty much everything I do so when it comes to your pets, I will keep a cool head when things get “hairy”. I am currently working part time and will have plenty of time to give them attention and company. I also live in a dog friendly neighborhood with plenty of walking trails that will be perfect to explore! I try my best to treat all pets as if they were my own. About: I have been a Certified Veterinary Assistant for 10 years. I also have two Certified Therapy Dogs. We visit schools, hospitals, nursing homes and other events. I also care for dogs in my home when friends go on vacation. I take in only one at a time. I’m retired and work out five days a week. I go to the gym, and do Tai Chi. Please read the following: I am accessible by phone all the time, and I love taking pictures, so you can expect to get lots of updates of how your dog is doing! Your dog’s stay will not overlap with other dogs so your dog will receive the care and attention he or she deserves! - DAYCARE: The neighborhood is very pet friendly. Doggy bags nearby. - WALKS: Can personally walk your dog up to 2 miles. We stay active! Give your dog the walk he/she deserves while you're away at work or on vacation. - DOGGY BAGS / DOGGY BOWLS: Please provide the necessary items your dog needs while away. It's a good idea to reserve dates as soon as you know you need me! We can schedule a time to meet briefly before the first stay so we can discuss details and get you familiar with my home. About: I've loved animals since childhood and I have a collection of my own! Including the basics, 3 cats, and.... geckos, snakes, and quails of cource all our non-venmous and completely hsrmless little ones! About: I've taken care of dogs throughout my life both in helping take care of roommate's dogs when they had long work shifts, as well as house sitting for friends' dogs and cats when they are traveling. About: I've been around animals my entire life and have grown up with nine family dogs of all different sizes, breeds, and personalities. My experience includes German Shepherds, Shih Tzus, Labradors, and many rescue dogs with mixes including Pit Bull, Chow Chow, Rottweiler, Jack Russell Terrier, and more. Caring for dogs with different temperaments has taught me that every pet has unique needs, and I enjoy getting to know each one's personality. I also volunteered at Second Chance Animal Rescue near Orlando, where I walked and fed dogs, cared for cats, and even looked after the occasional peacock! Although I can't currently have pets of my own because I'm renting, I spend as much time with animals as I can by caring for my sister's dogs, my aunt's Labrador, and pets belonging to friends and family. I'm happy to provide long or short walks and drop-in visits. I love sending photo updates and keeping owners informed throughout every visit, including when I arrive, when I leave, and if I notice anything that should be communicated. I also welcome detailed care instructions because I want to make sure your pet's routine stays as consistent and comfortable as possible. Having cared for dogs with anxiety and PTSD, I understand the importance of patience, staying calm, and earning a pet's trust at their own pace. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a slower, quieter approach, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. As a graduate student with two part-time jobs, spending time with animals is one of my favorite ways to recharge during the week. Going for walks, getting outside, and giving pets my full attention is a refreshing break from studying and work, so pet care naturally fits into my routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to walks and drop-in visits without feeling rushed. Whether it's a quick potty break, a long walk, or simply keeping your pet company, I make sure every visit gets my full attention. About: My family breeds and trains labs so I have been around dogs of all ages my whole life. I have also dog sat many friends and family dogs before. I am a nursing student so I will have class some days but reach out so I can let you know my exact schedule!
