About: Hello! I am an avid dog and cat lover. I often watch my family and friends pets but aside from that I managed a cageless doggy daycare for 3 years. I own two senior cats myself. I am attentive and flexible. Always available to do meet and greet in person or over the phone prior to my services <3 helps me and your animals get an acquainted! I currently own my own business that allows me plenty of free time. I’m available most days and nights on short notice. Happy to accommodate any schedule. I do travel out of state quite a bit for my job but I will let you know immediately if my schedule were to change. I have first hand experience in handling all sizes of dogs and temperaments. Including training with dog aggressive dogs. I have experience in administering meds and first aid for both cats & dogs.

About: Hi! I’m Rachel, and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. These days, my family includes my partner, four kids, and what we lovingly call our “mini zoo”: dogs, cats, a bunny, ball pythons, a bearded dragon, mourning geckos, and multiple aquariums full of fish, shrimp, snails, and dwarf crayfish. Caring for such a variety of animals has made me comfortable with everything from energetic puppies to reptiles and aquatic pets. Since joining Rover, I’ve had the opportunity to care for pets with all kinds of unique needs. I’ve worked with raw-fed dogs and cats, chickens, senior pets, anxious pets, and plenty of quirky personalities. Along the way I’ve even found myself handling unexpected adventures like moving fallen tree branches after storms, making small home fixes, collecting fresh raspberries from clients’ gardens, and convincing stubborn geese to cooperate. Every home and every pet has its own story, and I love being someone families can depend on. My experience goes beyond pet sitting. In high school I volunteered regularly at a local animal shelter, gaining hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I later worked as an assistant dog trainer, where I learned to read canine body language, encourage healthy play, and build trust through calm, confident handling. Whether I’m caring for one pet or an entire household, I believe great pet care is about more than feeding and potty breaks. I pay attention to routines, behavior, enrichment, and the little details that help pets feel safe while you’re away. I also keep an eye on your home, bring in packages, water plants if requested, and communicate with plenty of updates so you can truly relax while you’re gone. For families who enjoy it, my animal-loving family is often part of the fun. My oldest daughter, Bella, enjoys helping give extra attention, playtime, and companionship to many of our pet guests (always under my supervision). If your pets love people, they’ll have no shortage of affection and enrichment while they’re with us. My goal is simple: to care for your pets the same way I’d want someone to care for mine, with patience, respect, and lots of love. I work as a school bus driver primarily so it leaves my summer & most major holidays pretty open! When I am at work my wife is usually home with some or all of the kids, so even when I’m busy- we have the ability to care for pets. I am pretty flexible but my main priority is making sure I am respectful of your space as much as I would want someone to be respectful of mine. Taking photos and communicating heavily with pet parents is top priority for me. If you wish to have less communication, just let me know so I don’t send too many cute pictures of your pets! I know what a big deal it is to leave my pets in the care of someone else and as a result, I take the responsibility very seriously myself. We have a very large unfenced yard. We do not use any pesticides on our yard to protect the environment and animals of all kinds. 🌎🐝🦋 In the warm months, you’ll see lots of native plants, wildflowers and butterflies in our yard as a result. Please note: While we welcome pets of all kinds, we do not allow pet parents into our home. We want to make sure we are protecting the privacy and security of our children and their space. Also: we have 4 kids (see: mini-zoo reference above) it can be a mess up in here sometimes! 🤣

About: My family had dogs growing up so I have some experience walking and playing with dogs. I also have had my cats for about 7 years. I work from home Wednesdays and Fridays and could easily stop in for check ins during those days. I love to go on walks to grays lake so definitely looking for a dog or two to take with me. I would prefer a set of rules for my clients pets so I would know best how to service their pet while they are away.

About: Born and raised a dog lover! I’ve have 5 dogs throughout my life that I have loved so dearly. I’ve grown up taking care of my friend’s dogs in HS and college. I love to go on walks, so why not bring your pup with me! I unfortunately do not have my own dog at this time with my significant other, but I hope to get one soon! I am a teacher who is taking a small step back in education to focus on my health. I know your dogs will help me A LOT during this transition, and they will be under great care. I currently live in an apartment in Des Moines, so I am also available for drop-ins to ensure your pup is comfortable at home! About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I always loved being around pets, and that passion has stayed with me into adulthood. Over the years, I’ve pet sat for friends and family, caring for their furry family members as if they were my own. About: I grew up always having cats and being a total cat lady, however after bringing home my first dog ever I realized how much I absolutely love and adore dogs! I have experience with having a dog of my own (sadly he went on to the rainbow bridge), plus caring for my sisters dog who I jokingly say is my part time dog. I also have experience with all the dogs I’ve gotten to meet through Rover. I would love to have a dog of my own again but I don’t have the proper time or space to have one right now, so I’m looking to get my fix by spending time with your dog! I’m currently available any time of day or night on weekends and weekdays! Im very attentive to your pets needs and making sure they are comfortable this includes lots of outdoor time with nice walks, and giving them lots of love and attention(not to mention treats!). :) I have full availability and plenty of time to be able to care for your fluff balls at any time of day or night weekdays or weekends:) I live in an apartment with 2 cats so any pets that stay with me need to be familiar and friendly with cats. I do have a spare bedroom that I can use for separation purposes however prefer to be familiar and good around cats if I will be watching in my home. If house sitting I will be available to stay in your home and will send lots of pictures and updates along the way.

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, of all shapes and sizes. I love all animals. I’ve grown up with working dogs, big dogs, feral cats, farm animals, horses, and everything in between. I am always willing to go for midday lunch walks (in the Ankeny/Polk City area) or weekend check ins in the metro, while you are out and about being social. My husband works blue collar, so sometimes I have a lot of time to myself while he’s working, I’d love to fill in with walks at night or weekends in the Highland Park/Saylor TWP/Beaverdale areas, but willing to venture out into the metro. I am always very cautious when going in for my furry friends for walks, making sure they are safe. I’m full of love and attention and energy to burn so I’d love a buddy. I’ve worked with highly trained dogs, and will honor any and all training your dogs follows.

About: Caring for people and pets comes naturally to me. I worked in nursing for several years before leaving to care for my father full time.between that and being a mom giving love and care comes easy. I have 3 dogs of my own, all of which are friendly and love a bit of play time. I am a big believer in fresh air and exercise. Let's get those steps in for your 4 legged family member. I don't work a regular job, I care for my elderly father and do some side work here and there. So I am available for walking or drop in visits at a moments notice. I have a fenced in yard and food and treats at the ready. Many leashes and brushes and more. I have 3 dogs of my own that love to play with each other and yours too. I can also keep my dogs away if yours isn't socialized to others.

About: I have raised multiple dogs throughout my life including Chihuahuas, huskies, german Shepard, lab, and beagle. I have also worked at different doggie day cares and animal shelter as well. I have an open schedule just need a 7 days notice. I also work full time from home Monday-friday 8am-4:30pm. Just let me know in advance before. I have only have 1 dog at my home currently a beagle. I also have fully fenced in front and backyard. I live in the bottom of a duplex
