About: I have had both cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up training dogs for obedience shows with my dad. I currently have one 12 year old dog and one 5 year old cat. I can bathe, walk, play with, feed, and any other services you may be seeking. Please reach out! I am currently working remotely, so my availability is extremely flexible and open. I can accomodate mornings, afternoons, and evenings all days of the week. My pets are my family, and I have always been an animal lover. About: I’ve been around animals my whole life, of all shapes and sizes. I love all animals. I’ve grown up with working dogs, big dogs, feral cats, farm animals, horses, and everything in between. I am always willing to go for midday lunch walks (in the Ankeny/Polk City area) or weekend check ins in the metro, while you are out and about being social. My husband works blue collar, so sometimes I have a lot of time to myself while he’s working, I’d love to fill in with walks at night or weekends in the Highland Park/Saylor TWP/Beaverdale areas, but willing to venture out into the metro. I am always very cautious when going in for my furry friends for walks, making sure they are safe. I’m full of love and attention and energy to burn so I’d love a buddy. About: My family had dogs growing up so I have some experience walking and playing with dogs. I also have had my cats for about 7 years. I work from home Wednesdays and Fridays and could easily stop in for check ins during those days. I love to go on walks to grays lake so definitely looking for a dog or two to take with me. About: I enjoy going on long walks to grays lake. So I can allow dogs to get their energy out! I have a 3 year old Weimaraner, and also used to have an Australian shepherd. I’m familiar with all different breeds! My parents have 3 dogs and bred a couple times so I have also experienced taking care of a bunch of puppies. I work full time during the week until 4, my dog stays in a kennel when I am not home and spends the evenings going on long walks and also play time at the dog park at my apartment complex. She doesn’t sleep in her kennel she gets cuddles all night! If your pet is trained well and doesn’t need to go in a kennel, I am okay with letting them be out and roam around.

About: Hi! I’m Rachel, and animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. These days, my family includes my partner, four kids, and what we lovingly call our “mini zoo”: dogs, cats, a bunny, ball pythons, a bearded dragon, mourning geckos, and multiple aquariums full of fish, shrimp, snails, and dwarf crayfish. Caring for such a variety of animals has made me comfortable with everything from energetic puppies to reptiles and aquatic pets. Since joining Rover, I’ve had the opportunity to care for pets with all kinds of unique needs. I’ve worked with raw-fed dogs and cats, chickens, senior pets, anxious pets, and plenty of quirky personalities. Along the way I’ve even found myself handling unexpected adventures like moving fallen tree branches after storms, making small home fixes, collecting fresh raspberries from clients’ gardens, and convincing stubborn geese to cooperate. I know what a big deal it is to leave my pets in the care of someone else and as a result, I take the responsibility very seriously myself. We will do our best to make sure we do not add any cross contamination risks to your home. This includes pet allergies (one of ours is allergic to chicken). We have a very large unfenced yard. We do not use any pesticides on our yard to protect the environment and animals of all kinds. 🌎🐝🦋 In the warm months, you’ll see lots of native plants, wildflowers and butterflies in our yard as a result. About: ***So you want a housesitter?Please read carefully before booking. ***I have an 11lb Havanese in my home who will be w/me for housesitting and boarding assignments*** I live and work downtown (full-time remote). I can host your pet overnight in my home; stay overnight in your home if needed. Pop-in visits to provide breaks, walks, feeding if you live within a reasonable distance. I can also provide day care services. Very flexible and try to respond promptly bc we all have busy lives. I do not have a crate. Bringing your own crate is optional but not required. House broken/trained is preferred. I prefer to host 1 dog at a time. 2 dogs from the same household would be possible but prefer not to mix dogs from multiple households. ***Housesitting notice - I do have an 11lb Havanese puppy that would accompany me for overnight housesitting assignments. He's house-trained, does not shed and very friendly with people and other dogs.*** ***Boarding / House-sitting requests please note that I have a 1yr old 11lb Havanese in my home. Very social, friendly and playful. He gets along w/all people and dogs. He will also be w/me for any house-sitting bookings. About: I have well over 24 years caring for dogs. I believe a house isn't a home without a dog. We (me and my family) lost our dog, Teddy, about 11/2 years ago. It has been very hard living without him. I still look for him at the door whenever I come home. We are still heartbroken from his passing. Someday we hope to find the courage to love again.
