“Barbara is a very gentle and knowledgeable, caring and trustworthy pet sitter/walker. It is what anyone would like for their pets when not able to care for them. She looked after my two dogs wonderfully at a time when I was extremely stressed between husband in hospital and working also in hospital. A big thank you!!!”

Walk along seafront is always good too! Garden is fenced, and location is perfect for walkies.

About: Experience with my previous dog, a Jack Russell (Pippin) and my current dog, a Collie X Kelpie (Murphy). I also have experience with many other breeds. We often interact with foster dogs/puppies as Murphy is a very social dog. So we get to experience many different breeds and their qualities. I have a passion for caring and looking after animals. Dogs are just amazing creatures! I am committed to providing excellent service and ensuring any animals in my care are well looked after. I am looking for regular walks and visits alongside one-off services. I usually work between the hours of 9am - 2pm although I can be flexible. I can offer drop-in services for any animal, big or small. I'm not currently offering pet care services in my own home. I have a young daughter and a dog of my own, and although they are both friendly with other animals it simply wouldn't be fair to bring another animal home.

About: Ever since I was a kid my best memories are always with my grandmother's dogs, taking them for long walks in the woods, talking to them in the garden while the adults were inside the house, dogs are the best company one can ever ask for. Had all mixed breeds and sizes, rescue dogs, some of them saw them come in to this world, took care of them until unfortunately they passed away. The longs walks that I do along torbay's amazing coastal paths are better with a 4 leg's companion than on my own. Looking forward to walk your dogs, play with them, and look after them like they were my own. Available from early morning until 4 in the afternoon. I Work evenings but not late finish. So able to do a quick walk before bed. Unfortunately I'm not allowed pets in my apartment but i take my neighbor's dog for a walk as much as I can. Small mixed Labrador with a lot of energy. Three hour day walk plus play ball and run around the garden until we both pass out.

About: Hello, we are Chris and Claudia, Having had our own dogs all of our lives, we currently have a cat, bearded dragon, two axolotls and tropical fish. Our most recent dog was put to sleep not that long ago and the time isn't right for another set of paws full time for us but still have a lot of animal love to give! As well as the animals we have 5 kids who are all animal lovers. As such we have a large house with dedicated dog sofa and a large garden for exploring/sniffing. Both of us are good at reading dogs and reacting to their needs. If they want to be left alone to chill on the sofa, no worries. If they want to have a play or tummy rubs, bring it on! We also have experience of emotionally challenged rescue dogs and the different approaches they need, plus specific dietary requirements and food allergies too. Through a combination of working from home and being part time, we are around on weekends and most days of the week. We are able to supply tailored pet sitting needs if required. We have got a big secure garden out the back that is a dogs paradise. The resident cat is an indoor cat only so the garden is a dog and kids only zone as well as a few wild birds and slow worms

About: I've had dogs in my life since I was born. I became responsible for caring for my own pets from a young age and also provided pet caring favours to close friends and colleagues for a number of years. Although I have no pets of my own currently, I am very involved with the care, love and happiness of my parents two adopted dogs. I love dogs of all shapes and sizes and am looking to share that love with your furry friends too! I am currently a hybrid full time worker with a requirement of being in the office (Torquay) 2 days a week as a minimum. My hours are flexible and my days are too, I am therefore able to move my days around to suit your animal's needs. Although I live in a flat with an unfenced shared garden. My home is situated 5mins walk from goodrington beach and 10min from Clennon Valley fields. I love getting fresh air and I am able to give my full attention to your pets needs, as a priority.

About: Always taken care of dogs in some way. Taking strays for a walk from the kennels etc. Sister who practices vetinerary physiotherapy. Very handy. Patient. Your dogs walk and feeding will be top priority in the morning and evenings. Very flexible. If your dog needs companionship throughout the day there is always someone at home. If you need a long-term (more than 7 days) sitter that is fine but would prefer shorter stays. In terms of working away I live in Torquay but I am happy to come to you so anywhere as far as Dawlish or Paignton on the southwest Trainline. I have a fenced garden. House full of adults so no prodding or poking. Lots of love and cuddles. Non-smoker. Other homes are fine, no car but familiar with Torquay area so can walk to dog-friendly areas for a long and fun walk.

About: I’ve looked after and owned a wide range of pets throughout my life! From rabbits to hamsters, birds, turtles, cats and dogs! As an animal lover Ive enjoyed spending time with each and every one of them! I sometimes work normal 9-5 shifts but sometimes have longer and more irregular working hours. So I sometimes have whole days off during the weeks and often weekends off! I live in a house with an enclosed garden. I’m happy for the pets to have free roam of the house and garden as required.

About: No doubt about it, I am an absolute dog lover and enthusiast, and have had 3 family pets before moving out into my own place. A pattersdale crossed with a terrier, and two black Labradors (who are the newest additions at 3 and 1 years old). I have supported in their training (toilet training, commands, obedience and lead walking), and enrichment activities right from the very first day home, and they are absolute credits to the family. My two sisters now also have their own pets, a 8 year old springer spaniel and a 3 year old beagle, of which I have looked after since moving into my own place. My beloved pattersdale terrior passed 5 years ago at the age of 17, and therefore I can appropriately support those in their senior years. So, hopefully, as you can see from this snippet, I have forever been surrounding by dogs and absolutely adore them and their quirky personalities that they individually offer. I can not wait to welcome your loved one into our home, your dog will be treated like ours! If you would like I can keep you updated with photos whilst in my care to help assure your loved one is happy and in safe hands - I know it can be unsettling being away from your beloved fur friends! Regardless of working patterns, during the week whilst boarding with us, your dog can be walked in the morning and evening, with 24/7 access to a private fenced garden in the day. We are flexible and can cater to what your dog requires. On the weekends when boarding, we will still cater to your dogs routine to enable that sense of normality whilst away from their usual environment. Essentially, whatever you require from us, we can provide. In terms of a dog-walking service only, I would need to discuss dates and times to ensure I have the availability to meet your needs whilst taking into account any travel time. We will care for your dog as guided by you. Keeping their routine as close to normal for your dog is so important in their psychological safety. I would always offer a meet and greet service before accepting to take any responsibility of care on for your dog to ensure yourself, your dog and I am comfortable. You will always be welcome to our home too if you would like to see the environment your dog would be staying in, if you were choosing a boarding service. Dog Walking: - use of your dog walking equipment (leads, harnesses, halti’s etc) will be used as instructed by yourself - specific commands you use will be copied - On lead or off lead walking can be offered depending on your requirements and what you are comfortable with - Training whilst dog-walking can be incorporated Boarding: If you require your dog crated, this can be arranged. Meal times and any specific processes around this will be aligned whilst in my care. Dogs will be allowed on the sofa, however, if you do not like your pets on your sofa at home I will not allow this behaviour whilst in my care either as I do not want to encourage this behaviour on their return (unless you are happy for you pet to do this whilst boarding for comfort purposes). I have a good sized garden, which is private and fully enclosed so is safe for your dog.

About: I have always had pets at home! I currently have a 4 year old springer spaniel that I love more than anything, and am always happy when I’m around him! I have just finished studying animals as part of my degree, so I have the upmost respect and knowledge about animals. I will show as much love and care for your pets as if they are my own. I have just finished uni so currently I have a free schedule! I am available for house sitting throughout the weekend and week. I will be available to walk and check in on your pets throughout the week. I have a springer spaniel to keep your fur baby company if needed, he is very friendly so he will be of no harm to your furry friend :)

About: I've had animals in my life since I was a child and I take the view that a home is better with a dog. I love the bond you can form with a dog, how they can bring so much joy and laughter into a home. My sister had a rescue greyhound, Ted, and I would often look after him. Like many greyhounds, he was mostly pretty aloof, but he would always be excited to see me and he enjoyed our walks together. I've done doggy day care for my neighbour's dog, and boarded my friend's whippet and extensively boarded another friend's Maltese. All these dogs have been at ease in my company and I've enjoyed having them. I work from home and appreciate the opportunity to step away from my desk and play with the dogs and I realise the importance of doing that to keep them engaged. I live next to several big parks and a canal and I love taking the dogs for walks. I believe it is important to recognise each dog's individual idiosyncracies and adapt to their behaviours and to actively spend time with them and all the dogs I've looked after have had a fun time with me. My proximity to the parks means I can easily take them out for short toilet breaks and longer walks. I take the responsibility of caring for another person's dog very seriously because I understand how important that dog is to their owner. Based on the photos, it seems dogs love cuddles with me and whilst I can't find any other photos of me out walking with dogs, rest assured we do regularly leave the sofa for other activities! I work from home and tend to have a long lunch break built into my schedule, which is perfect for dog walking in the park. I'm quite a social person I live in an apartment block adjacent to a park. My flat has a balcony. I can accommodate a crate, if your dog needs it. I am also insured.

About: I have taken care of all sorts of animals since I was 12. I helped my mini dachshund Lola give birth to her puppies and helped to rear them til they were ready for their new families and homes. I have had ducks, rabbits, mice, dogs, cats and even a horse. I love to spend time with all animals and my children (10 & 13) do too. I am on trusted house sitters and I have 5 star reviews. I have an enhanced DBS and insurance. I will treat your pets as though they are part of the family. I am currently home schooling my 13 year old son so I am pretty flexible for whatever your pets needs are. I will try to accommodate what you prefer for your lovely pet and if I can’t do what is required I will always try to come up with a solution. I can come to you or your pet can stay with us. We have a lovely big garden which is self contained. We are not far from Meadfoot beach and lovely parks and walks nearby.

About: I have grown up with dogs and other animals all of my life and as an adult have always had a dog. We are very active and enjoy walking. My dog loves to play ball. I work from home part time so I am always around to take care of my fur baby. As a family we enjoy long walks. My home is very secure with a fully fenced garden. Your pet will have lots of attention, love and care. Pets are part of the family.

About: Hiya I am Meg! I'm a fun-loving animal enthusiast originally from Surrey. While studying Psychology at University I became fascinated with Animal Behaviour and completed my dissertation on dog breed differences in play. With the support of my tutor, I spent much of my time assisting rescues during the XL Bully crisis as a transporter and re-homer. My experiences introduced practical application to textbook study, solidifying my passion to improve the welfare of our furry friends. Since graduation I have devoted my time to volunteering in various dog rehoming centres along the South Coast. I pretty much live, breathe and think DOG so starting a dog care business was more or less inevitable. I specialise in care for misunderstood breeds, such as mastiffs and bull breeds, and prioritise my clients with fearful reactivity. The rescue world has taught me many ways of managing introductions and negative behaviour in a safe manner. It has also taught me most owner surrenders are because of their dogs unwanted behaviours. I believe frequent, positive exercise and human interaction is the first step in creating internal harmony for your dog and I'd be privileged to be a part of that. My pet sitting services have become more localised (to the Torbay area) in order to fulfil my dog walking commitments throughout the day. My Solo and Group walks run Monday to Friday every week. Please read the 'services' section for more information. With a canine first aid certification and 2 years of intensive rescue work tucked under my belt, I am looking forward to meeting the canines of Torbay! My company Canine Coastal Walks provides pet sitting (24/7) and dog walking (5 days a week) for the dogs of torbay! I am contactable all hours of the day for pet owners in my care. I cannot provide dog boarding, however I would be more than happy to care for your woofer at your house. My energy levels are similar to a springer spaniel, so I’ll provide a lot of play time and training but i think it’s essential to have a snuggle watching tv. Luckily, I was born a neat freak so I will leave the house spotless for when you come home from work/holiday.

About: I am currently studying veterinary, so have undertaken many hours of work experience where I have looked after many dogs in a professional environment. I also have a dog with anxiety so understand the needs of this. From summer I am available most of the time (weekdays and weekends) and have no other commitments such as a job so can provide many walks and sufficient care for your pet(s). I am flexible to how the dog is behaved as I understand some dogs have different needs to others- I am confident to crate a dog and walk dogs on a leash.

About: I've cared for many different pets and homes over the world, including ex street dogs and some very shy misunderstood characters and have had nothing but positive experiences to show for it, making friends both 2 legged and 4 I work mostly remotely in the mental health sector so I can be flexible with my arrangements and I can fit my work in and around walk times, feeding times, cuddle times but also keep your pets company even if I do have a meeting. I never need to work longer than an hour at a time so it's fits perfectly with pet sitting. I've worked in many people's homes both for pet sitting and professional purposes, I'm happy to follow any plan or guidelines set by the pet and home owner and will respect anything in place, it is your home and I am just there to make your fluffy family member feel comfortable and loved while you're away.

“Joanne did a fantastic job taking care of my dog! She was reliable, communicative, and clearly loves animals. My pup was happy and well cared for. I’ll definitely book with her again.”

Adam A.
“If you’re looking for someone who will love your pets like family, then I can highly recommend Adam. My little Maltese, Lily, has separation anxiety and is usually a bit wary of new people, but she happily went for a walk with Adam — and, for me, that’s no small thing! I was genuinely concerned her anxiety might be an issue, but Adam’s calm, kind presence put both of us at ease. He has such a gentle, reassuring way with dogs — you can tell he truly loves them, and the feeling is clearly mutual. Being a dog owner himself, Adam understands just how much our pets mean to us, and he doesn’t take the trust placed in him lightly. It was so refreshing — and frankly, a huge relief — to find someone who really gets how nerve-wracking it can be to hand over responsibility for your pup. He’s attentive, respectful, and so thoughtful with updates (which, as a over-protective pup-mum, I needed for reassurance!), making the whole experience feel safe, smooth, and full of heart. I would, and will, trust him with Lily any day!”

Hayley F.

“Biscuit loved having his daily walks. Thank you Hayley, will certainly use again.”

Raquel J.
“Raquel is super friendly and really loves dogs. She's done a fantastic job of looking after Finn, my frenchie, who can be a bit of a handful! She went above and beyond for him and I'm confident she'll do the same for you & yours.”

My dog Pepper loves it when Jen calls round biting at the bit cannot wait to get in her car to go for a walk. Pepper has stayed at Jens house and loves it. it’s such a relief to know that she is being well looked after Jen has a wonderful personality and I and lots of energy. Yes I would recommend her”

Claudia H.
“Claudia is calm and patient with my dog Max. She is very reliable and has cared for him over night and walked him muliple times. i am confident he is safe in her care and he is always very happy and excited to see her. I would highly recommend her services.”

Robyn S.
“Robyn is a great person who is trustworthy and reliable. I will trust her with my pets any time as they love her and I know Robyn will look after them and care for them as if they were her own. Robyn has done dog sitting for me for a few years now whenever I go on holiday. She stays with the dogs in my home and I don't have to worry about a thing. Robyn walks them, feeds them and gives them a lot of attention which they love.”

Emma F.
“Emme is my daughter and is extremely good with all sorts of animals. There were always pets at home when Emma was growing up ,we had dogs, and still have, we also had budgies, cockateils parrot, bearded dragons, snakes, lizard and a guinea pig who lived indoors.Emma took care of all of them to a very standard, she has also trained our current dog. Emma is very knowledgeable about the needs of many pets.”

Kimberley P.
“Kimberley has looked after my beloved greyhound Ted on many occasions. He is an ex-racer and quite neurotic so he needs lots of reassurance and tlc as well as guidance on what he can (and shouldn't!) do. Kimberley is full of love and care and, from the first meeting, I could tell Ted felt very comfortable with her. She listened to me talking about his personality, likes, dislikes and ways of managing his behaviours. He really likes his cuddles and ear rubs, but also standing right up close to someone if he feels unsure. Kimberley was able to walk him confidently, to manage things when he saw a cat or a squirrel (full prey instinct kicks in) and to read the situation when he just stops and decides he wants to go home. She also quickly got the hang of not having full access to the sofa when he wanted a lie down because when a greyhound wants the sofa you just have to move! The best thing about Kimberley looking after him is knowing that he would be cared for in the same way I look after him and he was always relaxed and happy after he had spent time with her. I would have no doubt recommending her to look after your best friend.”

Meg Y.
“Meg is super dog friendly. Our family has a rich history of dog ownership with various shapes, sizes and sexes. Our current dog is quite an old lady and Meg has been with her throughout her life. This has gone from being a young boisterous puppy to one with a tumour and other severe leg injuries which wholly hampers her movement. Meg has been empathetic throughout her life and has been on the journey with her. We also have other current dogs within our family and Meg can pitch herself to suit their behavioural needs!”

Tehya T.
“Tehya spends a lot of time with me and my dog when we go on walks - she has looked after her before and has my full trust she is capable to do so. I have a spaniel who is a bit crazy but tehya can manage her very well.”

Surahn B.
“Surahn made the whole process so easy. She took care of our little madam Edie, not exactly a people-cat, with regular photos and updates over the course of our holiday. House was cleaner when we arrived home then when we left and a very content kitty awaited us. Highly recommend!”
