“Taylor is an amazing pet sitter and we couldn’t be happier with the care she gives our Frenchies, Remi and Buster. She is very friendly, caring, and pays so much attention to our babies. She spends time playing with them, keeps them happy, and she is always there for them. You can really see that Taylor is a true animal lover. When we come home, Remi and Buster are calm, relaxed, happy ,and clearly feel comfortable and loved. We really appreciate everything she does and we feel very lucky to have someone like her looking after them. Thank you so much, Taylor ! 🐾 🐾”

“Susan is a very calm and personable lady who looked after our 14 year old dog Archie for a long day whilst we attended an event. We have a large fenced in garden with lots of hiding places where Archie often sleeps but she kept a very close eye on him throughout the day. Archie took to her immediately and when we arrived home, it was clear he had enjoyed the day with her. Will definitely book Susan again and can certainly recommend her.”

He took excellent care of them, made sure they were happy and comfortable, and followed everything we requested perfectly. Gary is a very reliable, friendly, and caring person a true animal lover. We felt completely at ease knowing our boy and girl were in such good hands. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a pet sitter and we will definitely use him again in the future. THANK YOU GARY 🐾 🐾”

“Rhian looked after our pup Remco and our cat Mocha during our wedding. We are soooo incredibly grateful. Rhian is such a lovely person and helped to keep our dog calm in a very busy environment and made sure he was ready and smart for photos (thank you ☺️). She has such a wonderful way with animals and cares so much. She was super respectful of our home overnight too. Thank you Rhian, it was so great not to have to worry at all!”

About: I'm retired and can give your pet virtually 24hr care. I'm an avid walker and will take your pet on lovely woodland walks and visits to country estates, beach etc. I have owned my own dogs for the past 30 years but am currently without one, hosting dogs allows me to enjoy, fuss and soil even more. I am at home most of the day except when I'm at the gym in the morning, my daily routine is flexible so I always have time for walks and I'm often in the garden or doing chores around the house, under the watchful eyes of your pet! I have a fully walled garden and lots of green walks straight out my front door. Pets are welcome on furniture and beds if that's what their used to at home. I try to follow their home routine as far as I can. I use a local secure dog park with a pool if required for the additional cost of the session.

Emma did a great job looking after our cat Oaty while we have been on holiday. She sent photos and videos which we loved especially our three children who were missing him. Emma communicated with us as much as needed for updates and we would definitely recommend her for looking after your pets. Thank you

Caitlin and her partner are reliable and treat our pups like family. Recently they house sat for us for 4 nights caring for our 2 Frenchies and 2 cats and kept us well informed with lots of pictures. The house looked perfect on our return and all pets very happy. Highly recommend their services!

This was our first experience of using Rover. Tom and Haya were great house sitters for our three daxis. As with all daxis ours are barky and needy but Haya and Tom made them feel calm and cared for. Regular updates from Haya reassured us that all was well back home, plus it was good to know someone was keeping an eye on the house. All in all a really good experience that enabled us to enjoy our holiday and relax.
Tessa was an amazing! She stayed at our house and kept the dogs while we went on vacation. She sent pictures of the dogs everyday. It was so nice to be on vacation and not have to worry about the dogs. They were in great hands. We can’t speak more highly of Tessa.

Coco and Daisy had a lovely time with Jake. It was a last minute booking, just time for a meet and greet and then he came and spent the following day looking after and playing with our two girls. He could not have been more helpful and followed our instructions to the letter. We would definitely ask Jake to help out again.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best time to agree on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a 'home cheat sheet' that includes your preferred St. Edmundsbury walking routes, the location of your favourite pet shop, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in St. Edmundsbury choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
