I understand that every dog is a cherished member of the family and I treat each one with the same love, patience, kindness and unwavering devotion that I gave to my own. For 13 wonderful years, I was blessed to share my life with my beautiful Cavapoo, Colby. He was my constant companion, my best friend and I will always feel incredibly honoured that he chose me every day. The bond we shared shaped the way I care for animals and reinforced my belief that every dog deserves to feel safe, understood, loved and completely at ease. Following Colby's passing, I found myself deeply missing the daily joy of giving that love and care to a dog. It is this, more than anything, that inspired me to begin this new chapter. About: I’ve grown up around animals and have been caring for pets since I was around 10 years old. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, as well as pets of different ages, personalities and routines. I know how important it is to feel completely comfortable with the person looking after your pets, so I always take the time to understand their normal routine, likes, dislikes and any individual needs. I make sure their environment is secure and pay close attention to their behaviour so I can spot if anything seems unusual. I also treat your home with the same care and respect I would my own.

About: I am a professional pet sitter and have been set up as a business “Pet Sitting By Nicola” since August 2018. I began as predominantly a live-in overnight pet sitter, but I can now offer regular weekly dog walks and pet visits, along with ad hoc walks and visits. The pet visits I offer can include feeding, medication, health checks, dog walks, pop in visits for toilet breaks, company and enrichment activities. I have completed my Canine and Feline first aid certificates, a pet sitting diploma and many other canine qualifications with the Dog training college including certificates in separation anxiety, reactive dogs, rescue dogs, and dog psychology/behaviour. I have an additional 3 years experience in pet sitting prior to setting up my business (overnight and day sits) for friends and family. I also have 3 years experience dog walking on a voluntary basis for elderly and terminally ill hospice patients via St Nicholas Hospice and Our special Friends animal charity. I have experience with small, medium and large dogs with the majority of dog breeds. I have experience caring for dogs with joint disease including IVDD, Hip Dysplasia, Arthritis, as well as paralysed dogs and those recovering from surgery. I can help with other animals too including birds, small furries, reptiles and some farm animals including goats, ducks and pigs. I live in your home looking after your pets overnight, replicating their normal routine to ensure they are settled and content. I will need to go out for approx. 4 hours over the lunch periods for dog walks, along with a couple of hours morning and evening for personal errands and short pet visits. But should your pet require more company this may be possible on selected dates for an extra hourly charge. I take good care of peoples properties and I clean up after myself. As well as providing care for your pet, I offer security for your home. I follow the clients instructions to care for their pets, and I can offer quality time in the hours I’m home with the pets giving company, walks, enrichment and play. I include small tasks around the house like putting bins out, collecting post, taking in deliveries, and 5 minutes of plant watering. Should more plant watering be required I can offer this for an additional charge.

About: I’ve owned dogs my entire life and absolutely love having them around! 🐾 I currently work fully remotely from home, so your pup will have plenty of company, attention and supervision throughout the day. I have a huge garden with lots of space to explore and play, and I’m a big walker myself, so I’m always happy to have a four-legged companion join me on my walks. I also love photography, so there’s a very good chance you’ll receive some cute photos of your pup enjoying their little holiday with me! 📸🐶 I have plenty of experience with dogs of different breeds, personalities and backgrounds. I was involved with Seeing Eye/guide dogs for over 7 years and have also owned rescue dogs for more than 15 years, so I understand that every dog has their own personality, routine and needs. I’m more than happy to follow whatever rules you have at home so that your dog’s routine stays consistent. Equally, if your pup is used to being on the sofa, sleeping on the bed or generally making themselves completely at home, that’s absolutely fine with me! I’m currently dog-free, which is actually one of the reasons I love dog sitting so much. I really miss having the company of dogs around and genuinely enjoy being able to give them a home-from-home while their owners are away. ❤️ I work fully remotely from home, so pet care fits really naturally into my everyday routine. My schedule is flexible, meaning I can easily accommodate regular toilet breaks, feeding times, walks, playtime and plenty of attention throughout the day. I’m naturally an early riser and love walking, so morning and evening walks are easy to build around your dog’s usual routine. I also have a large garden for regular outdoor breaks, play and exploring throughout the day. I play sports on two evenings a week and football on Sundays, so I’m occasionally out for around 2–2.5 hours at a time. If your dog is happy and comfortable in that environment, they’re also very welcome to come along and watch from the sidelines! Otherwise, I’ll make sure they’ve been walked, settled and comfortable before I leave. As I’m home for the vast majority of the day, your dog will have lots of company and I’m very happy to adapt my routine around what they’re used to at home. 🐾 I have a large, fully fenced garden, although the fence at the back isn’t particularly high, so dogs who are keen jumpers will always be closely supervised while outside. I’m happy to crate dogs where this is part of their normal routine, as I’ve owned and cared for crate-trained dogs before. I’m also very comfortable caring for dogs who need a little extra support, whether that’s with toilet training, medication or anxiety. I’m patient and happy to follow your routines, boundaries and instructions to make sure your dog feels safe, settled and at home with me. 🐾

About: I have worked in the veterinary profession since the early 90's and have experience of large and small animals. I have trained veterinary nurses, run puppy classes, taught basic dog training, qualified in common dog and cat behaviour problems, provided pet behaviour counselling and owned 3 dogs and multiple cats over the years. I would say that cats are my speciality as I worked at Cambridge Cat Clinic for 3 years and perfected my feline nursing skills. I am able to administer oral medications to all species and also injections if required, such as insulin. I am currently completing my training to become a counsellor (for humans) so I will be able to care for your pets around my studies and seeing my human clients. This allows me to be very flexible with regards to length of time needed to be with your pets. I will follow whatever routine has been established for your pets with regards to feeding, exercise, cuddles, grooming and any medication needed. I will have absolute respect for your wishes regarding where you want you pets to go i.e. indoors only, garden, park etc. I can provide regular updates about your pets while you are away to put your mind at rest.

About: I’ve lived with and looked after many pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals. I regularly look after my friends dogs, cats and other small pets. I have a passion for dogs and although I don’t currently have my own I regularly walk dogs daily with friends and/or family. I’ve helped train puppies and also spent time caring for elder dogs. I currently work for a company that produces smart devices for pets so I am very familiar with animals and the wants and needs required to look after them and their welfare. I work fully remote for a pet device company and regularly spend my spare time with my friends and families pets. Although I don’t currently have a pet of my own I have pet beds, bowls and other toys etc as I regularly look after dogs at my house. About: Hi I’m fleur, I’ve had dogs my whole life and always been dog mad! I currently own 2 dogs, but am living in Newcastle at university most of the year around so would love to have the opportunity to look after other dogs. I’ve house sitted dogs in the past, which I loved. I love going for walks/runs with dogs and playing with them. Even just cuddling and keeping them company. About: I'm retired and can give your pet virtually 24hr care. I'm an avid walker and will take your pet on lovely woodland walks and visits to country estates, beach etc. I have owned my own dogs for the past 30 years but am currently without one, hosting dogs allows me to enjoy, fuss and soil even more. I am at home most of the day except when I'm at the gym in the morning, my daily routine is flexible so I always have time for walks and I'm often in the garden or doing chores around the house, under the watchful eyes of your pet! I have a fully walled garden and lots of green walks straight out my front door. Pets are welcome on furniture and beds if that's what their used to at home. I try to follow their home routine as far as I can. I use a local secure dog park with a pool if required for the additional cost of the session.
