About: I’ve had pets for as long as I can remember and have grown up around animals my whole life. I have many years of experience caring for cats and started looking after them from a young age. I also have my own dog, who is now 8 years old, so I’m very familiar with the daily care, exercise, attention and responsibility that dogs require. Because of this, I’m comfortable caring for both cats and dogs and understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, loved and relaxed while their owners are away. I’m attentive to each pet’s individual needs, whether that’s play, walks, feeding routines or simply providing companionship and reassurance. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m used to planning my day around the needs of pets, including feeding, walks, playtime and making sure they’re comfortable and well cared for. Since I have my own dog, I already follow a regular routine that includes walks and dedicated time for attention and exercise. I’m reliable with maintaining pets’ usual schedules and routines, as I know how important consistency is for them. I’m happy to fit visits, walks and check-ins around my day to make sure pets get the care and companionship they need. I provide pet care in the owner’s home so pets can stay in a familiar and comfortable environment while their owners are away. I make sure to follow the pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks playtime, and any specific care instructions provided by the owner. I always take time to build trust with each pet so they feel safe and relaxed. I make sure they have plenty of attention, exercise, and companionship and I keep their space clean and secure. I’m also happy to provide updates to owners for peace of mind while they’re away. Being in their own home helps reduce stress for pets and I aim to make sure they feel cared for, comfortable, and well looked after at all times.
“I couldn’t be happier with the care Oliver provided for my dogs! He was attentive, reliable, and truly cared for Cash and Opie as if they were his own. My dogs were happy, well-fed, and clearly enjoyed their time together. The updates and photos were a great touch, giving me peace of mind while I was away. I highly recommend Oliver to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog watcher!””
“Hannah is a dream dog sitter. For any sort of pet , she's the kind hearted, caring and devoted person needed for the job. She is an animal lover through and through, enthusiastic about what she does and goes above and beyond what is required to make sure everything runs smoothly....no matter what! I'm so grateful for Hannah's services and would highly recommend her to anyone ❤ Thank you again Hannah, Mavs misses you!”

“Vivienne was great at looking after our Dalmatian in our home while we were away for the day, she is very reliable and provided updates and photos throughout the day, would happily use her services again, thanks Vivienne! ☺️”

“Elinor was fantastic house sitting our 7 month old golden retriever puppy over the 3 days! We were delighted with the care she gave our golden retriever puppy. Puppies can be quite a handful, but she was patient, kind, and clearly cared for her as if he were her own. We came home to a happy, relaxed puppy and a tidy house, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. She kept us updated with messages and photos throughout our trip, and her communication was excellent. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring house sitter, and we’d happily ask her to sit for us again.”

“Paul was absolutely fantastic from start to finish of our doggie and house sit. I think Geoffrey loved having him there . He gave us daily updates and sent some lovely pictures of Geoffrey. He left our house very clean and tidy . We would highly recommend Paul.”

About: I don't remember a time without animals and pets though we had small animals such as rabbits and gerbils with a peak headcount of 28, though these days it's just me and my six guinnea pigs, one rabbit, two chinchillas and a couple fish. This app doesn't let me add pets beyond cats and dogs so I note them here though there are some photos of them and myself on my profile. This year I've been volunteering my Sundays at the Animal Rescue Charity in Bishop Stortford so I'm confident and competent walking dogs of all size and behaviours, as well as exposure to a cats ranging from young to old, healthy to sick, though I consistently find animals respond to my calm and gentle nature. I have looked after my sisters shiba a few times when they were on holiday first as a puppy and more recently as a sassy teenager in heat or weekends away. Or a family friend who's old boy was blind and deaf and needed constant physical contact to feel safe and happy. Suffice to say I'm happy to accommodate and meet your pets needs with my time and attention, be that over long walks in any weather or a reliable companion to stay at your home with your beloved animals. Currently not working so I have plenty of time, though I volunteer on Fridays and Sundays so while I would like to continue those there is flexibility for sitting if unable to go for out for the day to accommodate you and your pets needs. Typically play it by the pets energy, if they want attention and play then we'll play, if they want to chill in the same room as me with a toy for some company then we can do that, or if they wish to be alone I'll still be availible and accessible to them. I'm comfortable sharing a bed, sleeping with doors open, cleaning up accidents and walking them in any weather, long or short, relaxed with lots of stops to sniff or a more disciplined walk on a tight leash. I am clean and tidy so I will leave your property as I found it. I have no issue spending all day around the home of that would bring you peace of mind only nipping out to get some groceries to last me a couple of days at a time, though in short I'm flexible, reliable, and attentive.
“We booked Samantha for a one night stay. It was our first time. She responded to messages promptly. She arrived right on time. Our dog seemed happy in the videos and when we got home. The house looked as if no one had been there. We will defiantly recommend Samantha and use her in the future.”

About: I am a professional pet sitter and have been set up as a business “Pet Sitting By Nicola” since August 2018. I began as predominantly a live-in overnight pet sitter, but I can now offer regular weekly dog walks and pet visits, along with ad hoc walks and visits. The pet visits I offer can include feeding, medication, health checks, dog walks, pop in visits for toilet breaks, company and enrichment activities. I have completed my Canine and Feline first aid certificates, a pet sitting diploma and many other canine qualifications with the Dog training college including certificates in separation anxiety, reactive dogs, rescue dogs, and dog psychology/behaviour. I have an additional 3 years experience in pet sitting prior to setting up my business (overnight and day sits) for friends and family. I also have 3 years experience dog walking on a voluntary basis for elderly and terminally ill hospice patients via St Nicholas Hospice and Our special Friends animal charity. I have experience with small, medium and large dogs with the majority of dog breeds. I have experience caring for dogs with joint disease including IVDD, Hip Dysplasia, Arthritis, as well as paralysed dogs and those recovering from surgery. I can help with other animals too including birds, small furries, reptiles and some farm animals including goats, ducks and pigs. I live in your home looking after your pets overnight, replicating their normal routine to ensure they are settled and content. I will need to go out for approx. 4 hours over the lunch periods for dog walks, along with a couple of hours morning and evening for personal errands and short pet visits. But should your pet require more company this may be possible on selected dates for an extra hourly charge. I take good care of peoples properties and I clean up after myself. As well as providing care for your pet, I offer security for your home. I follow the clients instructions to care for their pets, and I can offer quality time in the hours I’m home with the pets giving company, walks, enrichment and play. I include small tasks around the house like putting bins out, collecting post, taking in deliveries, and 5 minutes of plant watering. Should more plant watering be required I can offer this for an additional charge.
