About: Hi! I’m a self-employed dog lover who works from home Monday–Friday, so I have plenty of time to give your dog lots of attention, playtime, walks and, of course, cuddles! I live in a spacious two-bedroom flat with my own dog, Vinny. While we don’t have a private garden, we do have a communal outdoor space for toilet breaks, and I make sure Vinny gets two 45-minute walks every day. We’re lucky to have plenty of lovely options nearby, from open fields and woodland to peaceful walks through the village. At home, life is nice and relaxed. Vinny is usually snoozing on the sofa, or happily working away at a frozen Kong or LickiMat. I’m happy to keep your dog’s usual routine as much as possible, whether they’re full of energy and love a good walk or are more of a professional sofa-snoozer! I’ve always loved animals and have had pets throughout my life, including dogs, rabbits and ducks. We’d love to have a second dog of our own one day, but in the meantime I’d love to welcome some local four-legged friends into our home and give them a safe, comfortable and loving place to stay. As a dog owner myself, I know how difficult it can be to find someone you truly trust to look after your beloved furry family member, so I’m always happy to answer any questions you may have about me or my experience. I have a 12-year-old dog whom I adopted from Japan over eight years ago, and I’ve also spent many years looking after other people’s dogs, whether hosting them in my home, doing drop-in visits, or taking them for walks. My dog has become a bit of a bossy and stubborn old lady, but she gets along well with other dogs, especially younger ones. I work as a scientist and have a flexible hybrid schedule, which means I can work from home several days a week and adjust my hours when needed. This allows me to check in on your dog, take them for walks during the day, or provide company while you’re away. I’ll always do my best to make sure your pup feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Drop me a message and I will be happy to chat! I have a hybrid schedule and work from home 2-3 days a week. My office days are usually Monday and Thursday, but can be adjusted if needed. My weekends are usually free, so I can easily help out with walks, drop-in visits, or dog sitting when needed. I live in a secure apartment building, so any dogs staying with me will be in a safe and supervised environment. I only take on a limited number of dogs at a time so that I can give each one plenty of attention and make sure they feel comfortable. I’m also available for house sitting, drop-in visits and walks within Saffron Walden, and I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine as closely as possible. I have a 12-year-old dog who gets along well with most dogs, although she can be a little bossy sometimes. For that reason, I would prefer to arrange a first meeting in a neutral open space, such as a park area, before any stay in my home. I find that this helps dogs get to know each other more comfortably and makes the experience much smoother for everyone. I’ll always keep you updated with messages and photos, and I’ll make sure your dog is treated with the same care and attention that I give my own.

“Barra had a wonderful long weekend break with May - full of walks, playtime, and downtime as appropriate. She also learned some great new behaviours from May, such as how to sit at the curbside and the 'touch' tip. As a new and protective dog owner of an 8 month old, I had complete faith in May and could see how happy and well looked after Barra had been when I came to pick her up. I also learned some new skills in looking after Barra myself. May (Ping Yan L.) is a calm and compassionate person and her love of dogs and care for them shines through. I was able to enjoy my weekend away with complete peace of mind. May also sent me messages, photos and videos of how Barra was doing. I only go to Cambridge every few months but know that Barra now has a real companion there and very much look forward to booking May again.”
